The Story Of Eminem's First Album
Вставка
- Опубліковано 16 вер 2024
- In 1996, Eminem received his first opportunity to create a proper album with the backing of an actual label. This album was the catalyst which Eminem would use to become one of the most successful rappers to ever live... However, it wasn't because the album did well. Join me, as today I tell the story of Eminem's first album, INFINITE.
Also, this can quite possibly be Episode 1 of a new series covering the life of Eminem, by telling the story of each album. If you'd want to see that series, please comment below!

I'd love this sort of "album by album" documentary of Eminem
Kinda like what Tim the Fanboy Philosopher did but less review-esque
Tim is also unwatchable
@@ALONX666 when you say “also” do you mean me too :( [jk i know you’re a regular round these parts Axon]
@CobySucks nah cobe u got actual production value great video yet again bro!
@@ALONX666nah his videos are good, just skip the cringe skits
Yooo, would love to see you do these for every album,I'm all for it. I was never a huge Infinite fan (Infinite and Backatabber are dope songs tho),but from SSLP all up to Encore (also D12 albums & 8 mile soundtrack) I was addicted. Not to mention those songs from Invasion 1 & 2 and Anger Management mixtapes, those were pure 🔥
Also, lately I'm getting more and more into Relapse & post-Relapse albums, lots of bangers too,but not like that SSLP to Encore period. Can't wait for the new album!
Relapse is my personal favorite, I understand not a popular opinion in the Eminem critic world but that album was my ultimate childhood album. Encore isn’t as bad as people say at all, I enjoy most of the songs tbh
@@CobySucks Relapse and Kamikaze are my fav from that Relapse-now period. Encore is mostly silly, but I love it. It's not as good as SSLP, MMLP and TES, but has that nostalgic vibe for me.
I agree, would love to see deep dives on the more out there stuff like Encore and Relapse or the contentious stuff like Revival and Kamikaze
July 12th let's gooo
Backstabber and Biterphobia are both amazing tracks. Lyrical genius and no one paid attention to him until DRE. One of Eminems best albums 100%
please do the full series!
I bought this album in 2001 from a hood store in a mall in Columbus Ohio I love this always been my favorite record
Proof (Deshaun) used to sneak eminem into his school and he’d battle all the kids there
amazing video and would love a video on the slim shady ep and so on.
This is a cool video, bro. You should do this on every album from SSEP to whatever album
Nice video! Only thing to note is that Jealousy Woes II is the sequel to an unreleased soul intent track from 1993, called Jealousy Woes
@@The_Soul_Intent_Enthusiast i was curious where the Jealousy Woes 1 went! I had seen people say it was an (unofficial) sequel to an LL Cool J track so that’s cool to know
I got this and the EP as bootleg cassettes in Ireland back in the day. Infinite is very raw, you can tell he's still trying to find his sound. It feels...rushed is the wrong word....but it's like there's a desperation to release everything he's got in his head. Then you get to the EP and you can hear the progression as he's tuning his sound and honing in on what works.
I used to hang out with Hush and Em at the time this dropped. You are correct about pretty much everything here. When he came out with F'n Backstabber everyone said to slow down. When infinite.dropped, everyone told him to stop sounding like AZ.
Great work. Subscribed.
Please do more of this it's so awesome dude you did a great job
I just wanna start off by saying but this was a really cool Dive into Eminem's underground history There is a lot of things that many people don't really know about Eminem's past, for example I still wanna know more about chaos kid and shuch.
Also good vid
Infinite is his most interesting and best album - also the one with the least amount of information available so thanks for making this video
Pleaseee do the series please please pleaseee
I would love to see the full series
4:22 foreshadowing is a narrative device in which a storyteller gives an advance hint of what is to come later in the story
Nice video i like underground eminem content.
I would love to see the story of
New jacks and Soul intent
Especially the soul intent one.
Please Tell The Story Of Eminem’s Life Thru His Albums Chronically, Please. That Would Be Amazing. ❤
Do more videos luke these please
I would like to see that series
the best album so much hiphop flow in this one, its perfect
I just hit subscribe and am looking forward to seeing you breaking down more albums
I feel like this album should be in Streaming, and maybe 30th Anniversary reissue that would be cool.
The only sign on Spotify of this album existing is the title track being available, listed as a single. I know the full album used to be on there, wonder when it was removed
I genuinely and thoroughly enjoyed this, I would love to see a chronological overview of all of his records. Hell, I'd like to see you do one for Linkin Park as well. 😅
@@chaoticwj1772 i can’t front man, i ain’t doing a linkin park series, i only know bleed it out lmao
@@CobySucks lmaoooo fair enough
Album cover is sick
Nice review man, I learned a ton, cheers!
Nice vid!
Infinite is easily ems best work
I am a hardcore Eminem fan, tryna listen to every eminem song, leaks or features.
Infinite is such a nice album, and it makes me very sad to see how Eminem hides every track except for the shitty orchestral version of infinite, I honestly love his old flow and I have not heard much music from after recovery after seeing how shit his new flow and overall style is, records such as fuckin backstabbers, infinite, maxime, and many more of his lesser known or appreciated records need so much more exposure than all of his top music, his skills are shown in these tracks so much better than in anything else.
I only say eminem is a top 5 rapper of all time because of the skills he shows in these old albums or even leaked songs, its kinda annoying to see ppl disregard him as one of the greatest but as an Eminem fan its become pretty normal so it dont affect me 🤷♂
I love the first album - Eminem infinite
1:26 bro is throwing gang signs as a baby
Please do bro , continue to keep the truth alive , next the next one in order please please please
Roger that soldier
this deserves more views bruh wtf

Make a video like this for SSEP
@@erasmoramirez6348 okay
Coby you are cool love your vids didn't you say at some point Eminem is your favorite artist? He is mine as well has been since I was like 4 lol.
@@BlackForestKaiser Eminem is easily my favorite, but i forget when i said that lmao
@@CobySucks Em is the best 110%! if I may one more question what is your favorite Em album of all time I alternate between the Marshall Mathers LP, and The Eminem Show depending on my mood.
Hey what is that clip from at 6:30?!?!
@@BlackForestKaiser D12 music video for How Come 😘
@@CobySucks I thought it might be but I wasn't sure because I haven't seen that vid in years that's why I didn't recognize it gonna go listen to that now!
Tonite is one of my fave Eminem songs. Yeah it’s super cheesy and the mixing is shitty but I love the bassy beat and the generally chill and optimistic vibe
Listen to AZ do or die then listen to infinite Eminem bit az style
And go Browns
SuperBowl 2025
please give me one of the 3 TDOSSs You are giving away pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
slim shady EP?
@@user-bw7jd9fv1k yessir! Eminem’s first and only EP which came out right after infinite
Not his first album but ok
@@aplaceforfastraponlysugest3917 this is the first official studio album. That is what history shows. Soul Intent & Bassmint productions were EPs. New Jacks wasn’t an official release.
@@CobySucks yea I commented that before watching the video bc I didn't think I was gonna watch it all in 1 sitting
Lmao, that’s boss asf to actually admit that, that’s amazing. Thanks for watching bro!
@@CobySucks yea man no problem I've been listening to Eminem for a long mf time personaly maken some music to
I bootlegged more than 70 copies of Infinite myself 😒
He copied AZ
He outdid* AZ
I was watching this video & i had to subscribe because i remembered Coby sucks! & he makes good videos
18:49 i imagine there is an alternate universe where Eminem ended up becoming the most successful rock star for a while until someone caught him on mic’ saying something racist then for years he struggled in & out of rehab & on reality tv trying to make a comeback that never happened on his death his band reunited, bizzare was still weird in that universe 😂
Thank God history said otherwise.
