Metal scraps can be obtained from the vessels you start the game in. Every one of them in that starter room is destructible. 19 hits with the scrap metal pick will get you three scrap metal. It's somewhere around 30 with the stone pick.

The music is nice and relaxing.
But this is not a survival game is it? Everything seems easy at the start and there is no survival struggle.
The enemy AI is nothing. No crazy dangers like Subsistence or Empyrion at the start!
It is more of a looter and explorer game? How is the exploration so far?
It's not a hardcore survival game but it has survival elements. It's more of an Adventure RPG. It get's more challenging later on and not everything is easy. I am really enjoying it as a change of pace.
