I bought a white dial bambino for just over 200 USD. It is the most incredible watch for this price - extremely happy with it (once I swapped out the strap).

The Gentleman is great, but the PRX has something special, the integrated bracelet, the dial is beautiful, the model is just more appealing. Tissot Gentleman is kinda boring and it has nothing special to me, amazing watch with a basic look, it’s the type of watch you buy if you just want a piece, one versatile, quality watch.

I had one of those Seiko SURs but the seconds hand being misaligned killed it for me, had to return it. Good watch if you can check it out in person before buying!

The Tissot is nice but for the price-to-value ratio it's the Orient Bambino for the win. Pass on the Seiko quartz when the Bambino automatic is right there in the same price range.
The Seiko would never get my attention give its a horrible value option, the Bambino is the bomb for a low cost option, but the Gentleman outclasses both of them by miles. Get the Tissot.
The Gentleman is on another level. I owned a "starter" Tissot and hated it. More recently, I picked up a powermatic 80 Gentleman. It's a fantastic watch.

The Bambino, while a lovely watch is simply an easy pick for "affordable" watches by people who don't consider or plan to service and keep something long term.
It's beautiful, but the domed crystal without sapphire is susceptible to scratches. I own one, and it's for special occasions only, and even then there's a good dozen small scratches on it. The SUR is a better option for GADA watch I believe.
@@ArtyMcMuffin I currently have had no problem with scratches. I work in a kitchen and wear the new Star Bar Purple Sunset regularly at work. Granted, a couple scratches to me is character not a huge downside. As long as it is subtle and not hiding reading the time.

I recommand completely the tsuyosa (i have the warm sand dial only foundable in Asia). I'm teacher and every weeks my students gives me compliments about it. The Le Locle is a nice alternative to the Gentleman if you prefer something for formal, but the Gentleman has a bit more versatility.

Why not say a Seiko cocktail time? The jump from $200 to the Tissot $800 is a little crazy. The Seiko would fill the gap around $500.
