Deffinitly not a useless addition. Pre 2007 sportster and Buell oil pumps are prone to gradual failure. The oil gauge will tell you when the pump starts to fail long before the idiot light comes on. Could stop you from being stranded or worse, damaging your bike. Great video Bro!
Totally get it dude, I almost enjoy wrench time as much as riding to be honest, in reality it’s a form of art, who cares what anybody else thinks ole boy, it’s what you love and each bike in my opinion is a form of one’s self expression, some people do puzzles and that’s great we enjoy building and working on Harley’s, to each their own right, great video bud I enjoyed it as well as all your videos 🍻 What’s next 🤔
Thanks for following the videos mate. At the moment I'm just about half way through a harley shovelhead project. I've done a few videos of it on the channel. Hoping to have it on the road in the next month or so.
This word "Unnecessary" You speak of, is that an Aussie thing cause here in America I've never heard it when it comes to a Harley. Oh, that must be Aussie for "I want it" ! Subbed.
Man since doing the youtube thing the amount of banter I cop for any mod I do to the bike is ridiculous. I use the word "unnecessary" to let the trolls know I'm aware that I don't need to do these mods to the bike but I'm doing it regardless.
@@TheGingybeardMan I can imagine. I do what pleases me. And because of this vid, I'm considering an oil gauge too. Peace of mind. I think what Your doing is great, You do it well. Take care.
@@TheGingybeardMan yes it’s a dangerous hobby a bikers work is never done ,sometimes you need to take time to enjoy the current ride I’ve been through 5 different bikes in the last 18 months and I still don’t know why 😁
@@andrewjohnson6297 I'm hearing you. I thought I was bad with holding onto bikes.... You trump me there 😂😂 I would like to buy an ironhead sporty as a project and keep this 72 as a daily rider.
I almost just ordered this same kit until I saw that nipple on the pressure gauge you cut off 😮. Thanks for saving me headache and money and wasted time. No matter how low I idle my motorcycle, the oil light never kick's on. That's why I was going to buy a gauge kit, but I must be getting enough pressure even when my bike loles at low idle. 🤔

Looks cool brother I'm the same love wrenching on my bike great way to escape life.

Thanks mate. As you know I'm always looking for excuses to work on my bike 😅

This is a great mod for a Hardtail build

Yeah mate I wouldn't have bought the kit if I had known the gauge wouldn't fit in the housing. The company has very poor quality control.
Damn now I need one 😂😂

Wouldn't recommend it mate. In the video I explained why
