I saw Butch Walker ,with his band at the time: Floyd's Funk Revival, waay back in 1995 or so, on a little island on the coast of Ga.(St Simons) - at a place called Sunsets. I had never heard of the band, but as I was sitting outside on the patio having a drink, I just noticed this ENERGY coming from this band. Undeniable energy. It was Butch singing, no less. Since then his name has continually progressed amid the music industry - that is NO SMALL FEAT!. Anyone who can create & maintain a commercial presence in today's music industry is a total survivor . Congratulations, Butch, on the milestones you've crossed and continue down the path.
I saw FFR in Little Rock and was so Impressed....Butch doesn't like to live in the past so if you mention FFR to him he just says "That was a long time ago"....He just had some concert dates with Ryan Adams.....still freeking awesome....

The woman in the video is his deceased wife. He's having flashbacks to how they met, things they did, etc. Then his wife is in his home, spending time with him. It could have been that her angel came down from heaven to spend the day with him, or just a vision. Toward the end, she has disappeared, leaving our man confused. But later, he dies, wakes up on the beach (played by Butch), and the woman who runs up to him is his wife (this is their personal heaven). There's a quick shot of their matching liver spots, which matches an earlier photo in the video. Coming home = going to your heaven, with the one you love the most. That's my interpretation anyways.

Great video and awesome song. I'm just trying to follow the video's story. His wife/lover died a long time ago. The video is his last day on earth alive, remembering her all day. He bakes a cake,eats it, and then he dies. The magic in the cake seems to imply that it was the cause of his death. That leaves me to think that he poisoned/killed himself which is way depressing when you think about it.
