You're so good at explaining the causes for all the different issues. I don't want to simply do some exercises just becaus some "experts" tell me so. I want to understand WHY I should do them. I really hope your kind of knowledge becomes more accessible for more people. Sorry for my English - greetings from Germany 🫶
This is what I always think with physios, if you explain to people WHY you recommend doing an exercise (in detail with images!) they’re much more likely to make the connection and keep doing them.
Yeah as it should be, but from a what i noticed the majority of people or at least a considerable amount will always go like "hurr-durr get to the point already". And no, they are not somebody from today generation, a kid, with their low attention span, but judging by their names middle aged or older
I have pain in glutes after sitting for 30 minutes on chair its pain plues burning jn hip and glutes as per MRI mild labrum degenerative chages noticed and mild bursitis. Please advise excercises to help me.
I absolutely love when people whose first language isn't English apologize for their English after they spoke better English than a lot of English speakers. Perfect!
Stretch at home if you gotta. Man. Mobility and strength any means necessary amen. We are aging gracefully we are maintaining our mobility and gaining strength. Anyone judging me is not outliving me-that’s all that matters. Amen. That our grand babies get to play with us. Not what any stranger on this earth thinks of us. We want to look good always to the opposite sex. So work that booty and smile-like you own the place. They will notice.
I feel like maybe one of my previous comments helped inspire you to make this video and I’m so excited about it I’m still in the process of fixing hips trying on my own !!!
This content is much needed, much appreciated. Thank you so much. I have a clear plan moving forward. Internal hip rotation is a huge problem for me personally. It very much inhibits me from many movement patterns. Grateful for this information.
I really like this informational video. For me this is a lot so what I plan on doing is I’m going to master one exercise and know it without having to refer the video then progress to the next one and then add those together and finally the master the last one and learn that one as well. Then I’ll have the whole routine. Thank you for sharing this. It’s very helpful.
Conor, thank you for all of your videos, if you are reading comments - why are you not doing any online consultations? I do not want to offend your colleagues, but I would rather have you because you are the face of the channel and viewers trust you?
Thank you.. Thank you.. Thank you so much....❤❤ Many of your videos helped me to get rid of my hip pain... I visited many doctors.... but was no use... I am thankful to UA-cam also for recommending me your videos...
I have been working soooo hard on my glutes and nothing seems to be working. Had a great laugh when I couldn't even rotate my hips 20 degrees. Feeling hopeful again. Thanks for posting!
Now like the exercise the ball here, I like to put a yoga block between my thighs during any hinge movements, feet facing ahead, shoulders width appart.
@@ephelesfrance7006 the object doesn't matter as long as it's thick enough to not have your knees cave in or out. I took this idea from Neil Halliman video on deadlifts anyway so it is "PRI approved" 👌
From the mechanisms you showed, it seems like RDLs would also activate the glutes then? Should they be the first exercise on glute workout days? Thank you.
Lucky your professional cause if videos like this were misleading someone could suffer a displaced hip. Not that I know about the area or the exercise but you probably should just add disclaimer’s or advice for viewers to see a dr prior. 💗thanks so much.
@7:54 Does it matter if the support knee rolls inwards or the outside hip, (side where leg is in the air) dips? I.e. standing on left leg and as you lower, the left knee rolls inwards and the right hips drops downwards...or are you trying to maintain alignment throughout? TIA - great channel :)
Hi! Should I be breathing in my nose and out my mouth, or in my nose out my nose? I am confused about which breathing style works best for certain exercises or stretches. Thank you Conor!
Connor I just found this in my feed I had to subscribe the way you explained it is our type of language especially as a beginner I have a question for you what would be the best workout or could you demonstrate a video of how you could lift the bottom cheeks the underneath the bum how can we raise that up lift It up?
I have a bad right hip and that's the glute that won't fire. In doing that first stretch my hip pops and feels very unstable while squeezing the ball no matter how light of pressure I use. Should I keep doing it? I have a hard time squatting and lifting my right leg forward 😩
There's so much talking but no image of how the glutes move. Showing the bones moving on a skeleton frame shows no muscle visual at all so we don't have any idea how the glutes are lengthening.
Stop activities that work the muscle like squats and sprinting AND eat fewer calories in case some of the size is due to fat. Keep in mind, some people are genetically predisposed to have prominent buttocks.
I'm a personal trainer and Pilates instructor. Ballet works in non-full range of motion with great repetition. Plus, youth means certain hormones drive their muscle synthesis.
I am a retired MD and was always interested in movement. I do understand your explainations and will try the exercises...but....and this is a big but. I am befreinded with ballettancers. They have the most beautyful and developed butts but if they are classicaly trained, first thing they learn is the"turn out" position. they dance in this outwardely position and develope athletical glutes. Quite a contradiction to your standpoint.
Just a note my daughter has Marphan’s syndrome I was told be a geneticist most ballerina’s have marphan’s it’s a double joint in all joints also makes them tall and skinny. They don’t need to do these exercises they are genetically lucky.although they do work so hard to do what they do. Not disputing this exercise would help but I think the dancers get a full range of motion all day or regularly.
I feel Conor focuses a lot on "minority problems". My girlfriend had a flat butt and problems recruiting her glutes but she had plenty of hip flexibility. In her case it was more of a core problem (weak pelvic floor, diaphragm, weak transverse abdominals). Yes hip flexion with anterior pelvic tilt is important, but that should really be enough pre stretch for the glut max.
Rare are the "companies" where the ceo or other bosses go working together with their "employes". If the boss doesn't do what we expect from it, somebody has too do it
@sealust50 he's speaking to those who want strong functional glutes (aka an integral part of your core as a bipedal mammal). So small usually means not strong, as does "fat" because he discussing the muscles 😊
If you listen to what he says carefully , he is creating the environment for the gluts to grow without that environment and even with the correct training they may still appear small.

How fashion changes. I remember when having a small butt was the ideal , mine was always on the larger side and hated it!

Having a small butt was NEVER fashionable!
@ ok a tight toned firm butt if you will.

Love your channel Connor ❤,very informative. Maybe you have any tpis for people who recover from foot injurys ?

Yes they would! Exercise order is a whole subject in it's own right haha
I use large bands. My PT recommended me, because it prevents much less rotation than the tight ones.

Could you make a video on wrist mobility, especially regarding dorsiflexion. Thank you so much for the work you do!!!

Does this help with someone who has a tight pelvis due to weak surrounding muscles?
I'd like to know as well; but I think it will depend on the individual.
I have a question. My left oblique marks out in my body but my right it doesn’t show and I am right side so what could the problem be?
Does this work? How long does it take?
Hey Conor! Can you please provide me with the article you read this information from? I'm a physio student, it'll be of great help for my assignment.
Hi! Should I be breathing in my nose and out my mouth, or in my nose out my nose? I am confused about which breathing style works best for certain exercises or stretches. Thank you Conor!
Nose is a filter for incoming air. You can exhale any way you like, but breathing in is better through the nose.
I'm not a specialist.

Will internal rotation cause knock knees and shortened stride when walking?

how do i get smaller butt as a man
Stop activities that work the muscle like squats and sprinting AND eat fewer calories in case some of the size is due to fat. Keep in mind, some people are genetically predisposed to have prominent buttocks.
You want the muscles to atrophy and fat to diminish.
Less back squats and more front squats, or other quad dominant variations
Way to complicated for me..I like the first move though
Por favor , poner con traducción en español.
