- This weeks video we sail through superyacht paradise in Sardinia for the rich and the famous in Sardinia. With hundreds of big yachts, super yachts and mega yachts including the 136m Flying Fox owned by Jeff Bezos of Amazon, we join them to seek cover for a few days of 40 knot winds to show them how the other half live with Ryan baking a wicked cake, the boat jobs like tying down the solar panels, unjamming the mainsail etc etc, you know, all the cool stuff these super yachts owners don't really understand! lol.
Then we make our way past Porto Cervo, (the famous emerald coast of Sardinia) to a beautiful anchorage getting one step closer to the beautiful Maddelena islands!

It’s good exercise! Half the time he just jumps in, sometimes I just left the boat and we’re 400m from shore and he jumps in and I gotta get him to somehow jump back in.... lol

haha, yeah they were huge! The crew always come out to do "something" if we sail by too close... I swear they are told to come out to investigate lol
We totally feel you guys with making sure Jackson is comfortable! I think we could have left our current anchorage about a week ago but because of Nelson getting older and more unsure we are still here! It definitely gets worse as they get older!
Yes that's true! Jacksons 4 now, we are already starting to plan for 2yrs time, when he reaches 6-7yrs old where we will be and what we will be doing, all around him!

Thank you!!! haha, Yes we have an oven, but it would use a lot of gas, sometimes finding gas is a days job in itself so we try stretch it out as long as possible lol

I do not recall exactly how and in which cases but waterpumps needs to be protected from the water maker. Also you need to have a pressure membrane to avoid frequents on/off.
This is just the water pump on the freshwater system on the boat for our shower and taps etc. When I pull it apart, the 10yr old water pump that came with the boat is built so much more durable the newer one... Just looking at it, the rubber membrane looks as though it honestly is only built to last 12 months! Its disgusting actually how poorly built it is, anything made of plastic should be built better to last much longer than 12 months.

@@SailingSunday I had a good one this morning. I'm slicing a banana on to my cereal and I bring the last little bit up to my mouth to eat and the damn stem hooked the bowl and flipped it. Cereal and banana every where. No a good start to the morning and it got worse when I tried changing the tube on my bicycle, only means of transportation and I'm riding to my cancer infusion tomorrow morning. I tried patching but the patch moved when I put air in it, wth? I used my last good tube and had my daughter stop at the bike shop and bring me a new tube. It's easier to change the tube then patch a hole while out riding. 50 miles yesterday didn't help matters

What depth of water do you aim for for anchoring... knowing that sand/mud is the preferred bottom.
We usually always try anchor around 5m depth

Envy the super yachties? No, if anything I pity them, so much empty space. I wonder how much thought time did they invest building them. And what was the first thought? What can I do to impress my fellow billionaires or how to set up my cruise ship that I always fell cosy?
The only one of interest for me, are super sailing yachts that try some new unproven systems of sail, like this Russian oligarch did. His yacht can "set" sail and trim them, all by itself, and if I recall right navigate day and night on its own. The sail work as solar panels to.

haha, nah we don't envy them, but it would be nice to have someone to polish the stainless steel each week. And polish the boat. and maybe a cleaner too to do the washing... and a chef would be nice too!!!! and maybe a bigger boat! Oh man, now I envy them again.... hahahaha
