The Scene Nashville: Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum

- The Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum is unlike any museum you're ever likely to experience. With expansive exhibits celebrating music's most influential genres, the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum brings to life, and into light, hidden gems found throughout music history.
In this episode of The Scene, founder and CEO Joe Chambers walks us through one mind-blowing artifact after another - drums played by Uriel Jones (Stevie Wonder's drummer), the sitar played on "Hooked on a Feeling," the RCA Studio piano played on countless records, and more! The museum, located in the heart of Nashville, was founded on a deep appreciation for how music is created and how the music industry operates. A musician that plays on a record may not be who you see play on tour. The Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum honors these musicians that you have heard but not necessarily heard of and recognizes them for their contributions to the arts.

Joe is a total legend. Thank you for bringing what he does to your audience. Bravo! 😎
Joe is the fella who asks the question that you need answered. A real gentleman, his contribution is greatly appreciated by fans. Thanks Mark, good job.
Joe Chambers Walks it like he talks it. We are real lucky to have a man that Loves music like that. Thanks Gibson TV
I love watching Joe's UA-cam channel. The stories he gets are always amazing.
Wauw, the moment Mark started his story on the SG. My hair just stood up and I shed a tear when he finished that story. Thank you Mark. Thank you for sharing us those heartfelt stories.
I love Joe Chambers a true Nashville legend. He has created a museum, a historical record, for all to visit and enjoy! A must to visit! Mark a great post on the Muscians Hall of Fame! Greetings from Santa Clarita California. Thank you!
I’ve been watching Joe for a while and love his stories, makes me feel connected. Reminds me of when I first started hanging out with an ‘older’ crowd… a bunch of cool guys who played weekends and put up with my miserable angsty teen crap.
Hats off to Joe for putting this wonderful collection together.
Joe is the BEST !!!!!!!!
Wow, I'd love to see all that history in person. Nashville here I come!
Hey mark!! How cool is that? You have your own personal story attached to the musicians hall of fame!! Too cool man!! Even told the owner of the place a story about one of his exhibits.
Great to see you get some recognition Joe! Thanks Mark Agnesi.
Joe is a great guy! I am so glad he has held this MHFM together all during these troubled times.
I met Joe at the HoF a few weeks ago and had the pleasure to chat with him, what a great dude!! He walked us around part the museum while dishing out some extraordinary deep-cut facts, way cool.
I watched before Joe’s passing, and now it’s so poignant how much he loved this museum. Cherished! Kudos to his kids that the museum continues. . . and Mark Agnissi for featuring it.
Joe is the man! He has done a fantastic job In Documenting music history. I could spend weeks in that place.
What a labor of love by Joe, I definitely cannot wait to visit. Thanks Mark for doing this one on “The Scene”!
Joe Chambers is gift to us all.
This was amazing!! I didn’t realize that facility was that big or intricate. I’ll definitely have to go check it out!
Love Joe. He had a awesome music/guitar shop in Murfreesboro and one in Nashville
Oh my goodness what a history, thanks Joe and thanks Mark. Will see you guys in Nashville hopefully later this year.
There no words to describe this holy place. Thanks for showing.
I often watch Joe Chambers do interviews with an eclectic group of musicians both famous and fairly unknown to many of us.
Joe is a great interviewer and really knows his music history! I’ve been to the ROCK N ROLL HOF in Ohio but I must say my bucket list includes The Musician’s HOF and I’m much more excited about going there than anywhere else!
Joe is one of the coolest guys you've ever interviewed. A.P. Carter, Alan Lomax, Roy Acuff, Marty Stuart, Sam Phillips....Joe is right in there with those guys when it comes to preserving real music history. Only problem is all of his interviews are too short!!!
I absolutely love the Musicians HoF and Joe’s work. I grew up like everyone else….thinking most bands and albums were the 4 or 5 guys all set up in a studio playing their music all at the same time for a recording. Then I learned how they track it and do different parts. Then I watched The Wrecking Crew and geez my eyes were OPENED. So for the past four or five years, my interest, respect, and learning has gone behind the scenes to the guys and gals in the studio playing the instruments and the ones mixing it together. Massive amounts of respect for those folks and the touring bands behind the lead singers. Unsung musical geniuses and massive talent that generally don’t get the respect, notoriety or riches they should for their contributions to the music that is the history that we all know and love and that is the soundtrack to our lives. Joe’s work goes a long way in teaching us about these folks. I love watching his interviews with musicians and learning so much. Even cooler is to learn about someone, then google or UA-cam them to see how much they’ve touched our musical lives in so many ways that we NO idea. Some examples include Larry Knechtel and the work he did in 60s and 70s and later playing with the Dixie Chicks; Paul Mirkovich….I went from “who’s this guy with singing Cetera’s parts with Cher?” to ”wow he played keys with Nelson!” (and others) to the beauty of the Home for the Holiday T-Mobile commercial he composed and so much more….; Tim Pierce and his genius as well as Louie Shelton and all the Toto guys and their contributions to music history. There are soooo many more. I have learned so much about what these folks have done thanks to the internet, UA-cam and people like Joe. All that to say thanks to Joe for HIS contributions to music history. Good show!
Been blessed enough to visit the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum twice, cannot wait to go back. Really should be near the top of your list (along with Gibson!) if you visit Nashville!
I love Joe’s interviews he does such a good job, researching and asking the right questions. Thanks Mark for the video!
Love Joe. Always great to watch his UA-cam videos

I miss Joe- I never had the chance to meet him - his interviews were excellent. He always comes across as the kind of guy that would hang with anybody- famous or not.

Such a great place! So many cool things to see and so much to learn about those people in the trenches that actually made our favorite music! Was able to visit in 2015 and no doubt it has improved tons since then. I hope to visit again sometime! Thanks Mark!
That Petty story was great! It's amazing the memories that come from just a few pieces of wood glued together

Excellent video. Thank you, Joe, Gibson, and, Mark. I went to buy a ticket the last time I was in town, a couple years ago, now, but, I walked in at 4:30, and, it was a little too late to do the tour. I can't wait to go back to finally check it out. Thank you so much for the video. 👍🏼🎼
Just spent the afternoon here. Amazing. 55 goldtop (Joe B.), A team, Muscle Shoals, The Wrecking Crew, 59 burst, Sun, interactives and so so much more. The coolest place I've visited in Nashville. Sorry Gibson Garage. This place has you beat.
❤we miss you Joe
God Bless Joe Chambers.
Well if that there wasn't the coolest thing I've ever seen on the interwebs.
God bless geeks.
I really would love to see mark agensi do this at the rock and roll hall of fame
Nice one #mrhnp
Great!! But... Come on, it could be longer.
Zildjian needs to make a 20 inch trash can lid ride
RIP Joe C. 😔
Hey Mark , how come Casino guitars in NC aren't allowed Gibson Guitars ?
In 3 years Slash will be 60, and he's more or less representing the younger generations of gibson oriented guitar players, no?
Gibson makes the best acoustic guitars.
So they have Agnesi from Gibson walking to music that features a Fender Strat! Too funny!
whos p-bass ? jamerson. ?
Let’s go Brandon 🤘🤘
Go away Agnesi 💀
I love museums like this, the RNR hall etc. But it just kills me to see these beautiful, vintage guitars sitting behind glass collecting dust. They're built to be played but...I get it. I guess lol. Great episode.
