Yes! I was amazed when he responded to a comment I made about his great interviewing ability. He was such a nice guy! I'm stunned.....what a loss. RIP.
I am SO sorry, I had no idea Joe was no longer with us, I would reach out to him when he would post a video with one of my favorite artists and he always took the time to write back, Joe was a good man and will be terribly missed by people in Nashville and beyond. My thoughts are with your family, Donnie Castleman & Family, Las Vegas.
His death was announced by his channel not too long after his passing. There was a lull, and then some of the old interviews were still carried. It was sort of like NPR's (National Public Radio) presentation a few years ago of their "Car Talk" where the "Click & Clack Brothers," Tom and Ray Magliozzi were still aired after Tom died. It seems like reruns of the show continued for at least a year (or more) after its last production, so many were unaware of Tom's death.
Here in Australia I had no idea either. Always watched his interviews whether the musicians were known to me or not. Very interesting interviews and and a great look into their history. RIP Joe
Donnie astlemqn5701, dad really appreciated his conversations with friends like you here on YT. Thank you for your kind words and continued support for the channel. Hope you can visit the museum sometime. Best, Britt
I didn't know we lost Joe. He was a kind man who dearly loved music and a great songwriter in his own right. I will miss him on this channel. Condolences to Joe's family and friends. RIP
LinkRocks, thank you for your kind words and continued support of the channel, it would have meant so much to dad and does to me too. Hope you can visit the museum. Best, Britt
oldermusiclover, Dad did! It was a 12 year process and he finished the last page in the hospital. Musicians Hall of Fame, A Visual and Historical Account of Acquisitions just got printed… Best, Britt
Joe seemed like such a great man. He always replied and thanked me for my comments. He did not have to do that. But he did. His interviews are some of the best. He always got great stories from the artists and best of all he let THEM talk. It wasn’t about him. He showcased the artist. One day hope to visit the museum. But the interviews are an important part of his legacy. Hate that he is gone. He will never be forgotten we all can guarantee that.
Shotgunrebels, dad genuinely appreciated his friends like you here on YT… he loved shining light on others and this platform was really unexpected but very fun for him. I really appreciate your kind words and continued support for the channel, please let me know when you visit the museum. Best, Britt
Terry, dad really enjoyed talking with his friends like you here. I completely agree with you & know he would appreciate your kind words and continued support for the channel. Best, Britt
Wow, I’m so sad to hear of Joe’s passing and am very sorry for your loss. His interviews gave such insight into the music industry. And what a respectable, well spoken man. Rest in peace Joe.
What a wonderful, kind hearted man. Every time I posted, he responded. What a wonderful blessing he was to all who knew him (whether personally, or online)......and especially to his family. What a true gift God gave when he gave this world Joe ❤
I feared something was amiss when the UA-cam videos began appearing sporadically and then stopped. My heart goes out to his family and friends and to the community he gave his life to. Joe, thank you for taking the time to reply to all my comments here. You have no idea how much you are missed. R.I.P.
Robert, thank you for you kind words and continued support for the channel. Dad always appreciated his friends like you here on YT. Hope you can visit the museum as well. Best, Britt
R.I.P Joe was such a pleasent gentlemen, Before i moved to Nashville i just always had to Stop in his store on the West End cause he sold me two Musicman's and he wrote the Dance' that was one of my favorite songs ever and i always respected him and he built the museum to honor all us muscians in Nashville, you will be loved and missed forever.......
I loved to converse with Joe. we are both from Columbus, GA and we talked about eating scrambled dogs at the Wynton Rd. Pharmacy. he was a kind, gentle wonderful soul. RIP Joe. and much love to his family and friends. you are missed bud.
dmlevitt, I remember reading dads comment to you about the scrambled dogs! I know it was fun for him to have a fellow Columbas, GA friend here on YT- as he also loved to reminisce about his hometown. Thank you for your kind words and continued support for the channel, it would have meant so much to him and does to me too. Hope you can visit the museum sometime. Best, Britt

Joe Chambers will always live on because of his love, his contributions, his energy, and his commitments. What Joe accomplished with the MHoF&M was necessary, and it was Joe Chambers who made it a reality. While he will certainly be missed by those who knew him personally and held him dear, he will also be missed by those of us who only know him through his unselfish contributions. Joe has brought joy, smiles, laughter, tears, appreciation, and music to many thousands of the rest of us as well. I salute you, Joe Chambers, and once again, I thank you. My sincerest best wishes to the entire family.
rmelin13231, wow, I love that though you may not have known Dad personally you definitely knew him… your words are beautiful and I couldn’t agree more. Thank you for your kindness and continued support for the channel, it would have meant so much to dad and does to me too. Hope you can visit the museum. Best, Britt
A personal hero of mine, I never met him but we exchanged a few emails, I found him to be a totally genuine good hearted man who was passionate about musics unsung hero's and the museum. He is missed.
Joe was a great interviewer who never forgot that he was there to ask intelligent informed questions. He always read and answered any comments from me and everyone else. Thank you Joe…you did great
I knew Joe a little when i was in Nashville. Went to his shop a few times. I live in Texas now but always looked forward to seeing Joe when i was in town. Prayers to the family and friends.
So sorry to hear of Joe's passing. I wondered why I didn't see any UA-cams for a while. Joe would have never had any idea who I am, nor should he. But, anytime I would comment on one of his videos, he would always take the time to thank me like he knew me. I think we lost a Great Man. RIP Joe and God Bless your wonderful family.
cudaus1, dad really appreciated his friends, like you, here on YT. Thank you for your kind comments and continued support of this channel and our family. Hope you can visit the museum sometime. Best, Britt
Everything you all said about Joe, came across in his interviews. I enjoyed learning so much music history from Joe. What a priceless contribution to music history he made that will live on forever. He was always so generous to respond to comments on You Tube. It’s hard to imagine how much his family misses him…wishing peace and comfort to all of you.
In 2015 I heard about Joe from an acquaintance who knew him. Then I came across this You Tube channel several years later. What a goldmine for music lovers. I saw the report of his passing on a local TV station in Nashville and was so saddened. He was one of the last of the old school that made Nashville such a unique place. Hope his family and friends are well. Thanks Joe 💖🙏 🕊️🌈
Ohh man this is sad. I have recently watched alot of Joe's interviews with musicians and they are soo great, soo down to earth. It was like sitting with a few old buddies at a bar table talking bout good times. Joe was totally respectful host, he let the guests speak with rarely an interruption. The best part was he had a ton of experience with some great stories of his own to tell also ! He was one of the best and will be sorely missed now !
Sturoc0, thank you for your kind words and support for the channel, it would have meant so much to dad and does to me too. Hope you can visit the museum sometime. Best, Britt
I had no idea joe had passed away. On so many occasions I would comment on his wonderful videos and every time Joe would always answer and come back to me, I couldn’t believe it, somehow he found the time, what a wonderful person, my deepest sympathies from Chesterfied in the UK
Wow! I had no idea Joe passed. I spoke with him on the phone and exchanged e-mails with him a few times during the pandemic. One of the things he and I talked about was me me possibly picking up a guitar from the late Hugh McCracken next time I went back to New York. I was going to try to get something from my dear friend, the late Vinnie Bell as well. Joe always had time to talk. What a sweet and kind man. His legacy will live forever, and he will always be missed. Thank you for everything you've done for not only Nashville, but every city in the music business. RIP Joe ❣🙏🏻
Stu, thank you so much for sharing. Your very kind words would have meant so much to dad…I am so glad you were able to talk with him. If you still think it’s a possibility to pick up the Hugh McCracken guitar or item from Vinnie Bell, text dads phone and I will get back to you. All the best, Britt
Was awesome to see him commenting back to people on the channel. May he rest in peace and his loved ones know he was appreciated the world over. Phil in the UK.
What a life, Magnificent! When the end is near and the Lord is calling you home. Is there no greater peace of mind then knowing you contributed to the improvement of the Human Experience. Joe, did it for me and countless others. I was awakened to the tremandous contributions made by the musicians who performed alongside the greatest entertainers! The back stories, how the art was crafted. Historical accounts of recording sessions, concerts etc. Not acknowledged enough is Joe's brilliant interview style. Inquisitive questions that capture the listeners curiosity bone. In closing Joe's greatest gift was his ability to recognize when to stop talking and listen. In every interview he'd ask a question then sit back and enjoy the story. Never interrupting a artist. His Legacy will be on display every day for all the world to enjoy. "The Musician's Hall Of Fame" What a Blessed Legacy! God Bless the family. May Joe RIP! Cruzer In CT
Joe Chambers was one of those rare people who had a big vision and made it come true. I enjoyed my visit tremendously at the @Musicians Hall of Fame & Museum in Nashville. Some of Joe's family members were working in the lobby when I visited and helped to make me feel at home as an out-of-towner. Joe's legacy will live on with all the musicians he honored.
BringBackMyYesterday, thank you for your very kind words, it would have meant so much to dad. I don’t know if it was me or my mom that you met, but I am thrilled you felt welcome- and thankful you made the time to visit. Thank you for supporting both the museum and the channel. Best, Britt
@@MusiciansHallofFameMuseum Thank you for taking time to reply, Britt. I believe I met your Mom and possibly a brother of yours. I will never forget their hospitality! Thanks again and take good care at this difficult time. ♥Dee
I recall watching Joe perform in one of the episodes here but for the life of me, I can't find that episode. He played remarkably good. When I commented about it, he replied that he practiced so much that his fingers hurt. He was such a kind person. Like others here, he always thanked me for my comments. A truly nice gentleman, excellent interviewer and stellar musician.
Hey Barry, I know friends, like you, here on YT meant so much to dad. Here is dad playing Hush at the MHOF 2019 Award Show and Induction Ceremony. ua-cam.com/video/0WGrWZGR96/v-deo.html Thank you for continuing to support the channel. Best, Britt
@@MusiciansHallofFameMuseum Thank you so much. Also, I really appreciate the link to your father's performance. He was truly a great person and will continue being a great person in my memories. Barry EDIT: Couldn't get the link above to work but your giving me the song title allowed me to find it: ua-cam.com/video/0WGrWZGR96Q/v-deo.html&ab_channel=MusiciansHallofFame%26Museum Found your Dad's comment also: "Thanks Barry… I’m glad you enjoyed it. One of my favorite songs that I never got to play when I was in my band. Joe South being a inductee gave me the chance to include the song that night especially having Paul Shaffer playing organ. I honestly hadn’t played guitar in 8 years before that night other than practicing for a couple weeks beforehand. Killed my fingers:) I had great fun even though I didn’t deserve to place myself on that stage with those top drawer musicians but I had never played at any of our other induction concerts so I decided it was my chance. Thanks for the kind comment……. Best, Joe"
My deepest condolences to his family and friends. He made the world a better place. He was a selfless, kind, caring and humorous man, he will always be missed.

Back several months ago, I commented on one of Joe's interviews and as always, I received a note back. That time, however, it was from one of Joe's sons. ( So sorry, I don't remember which one). The news was sad, for I realized we had lost one of the great Treasures of Americana. Rooted deep into the hearts and history of this great country,, is its music and the men and women who for so long have written, played and promoted the music and lyrics that tell our story. Joe, through his videos brought those stories to life. I came across Joe and the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum via UA-cam. I was fortunate enough to have watched so many of his interviews. What a blessing to be able yo hear the story behind the music as Joe worked his way into the hearts and minds of all those great musicians. His interviews were always smart and heartfelt as he burrowed his way into the story of those he interviewed. I marveled at how he listened, then asked questions. I often sent him a note thanking him for being such a great interviewer. Watching this Celebration just now, I see and hear what he was as a human being and understand how his style was always to be the best interviewer of the musician, not of himself. You are fortunate to have had a husband, father and grandfather in Joe Chambers. He left you with love and an example of how people should treat others. Thank you for sharing this Celebration. I wish I had met him, but through the magic of UA-cam and his dedication of musicians. along with this great Celebration of Life, I feel like I have met the great Joe Chambers. God Bless you all.
Robert, hey again,I am Joes daughter,Britt. Thank you for continuing to support the channel & for your beautiful words, it means so much. Dad really appreciated his friends like you here on YT. I hope you can visit the museum, let me know if you do. Best, Britt

@@MusiciansHallofFameMuseum I'm so looking forward to visiting the Museum! I have family in TN, and will bring them with me. All the Best to you and your family.
I was fortunate to have a few words with Joe here time and again, on the channel. The online world can be a contentious place...but not here, not with Joe. He treated everyone with kindness and humility. What a wonderful man he must have been to friends and family. I hope that time has brought healing and allowed more of the wonder Joe brought into the world, back into your hearts. I lost them all, when he passed away. I withdrew, and they slipped away. I was a sixteen year old when my father died. Later, I wrote, about my family: I lost them all, when he passed away. I withdrew, and they slipped away. Now sixty-five... Don't let that happen to you. Don't let them slip away.
So sorry to hear this. I had no idea until just now. I’ll treasure the comments between Joe and myself here on his wonderful UA-cam channel. His memory will live on always.❤😢
Spontaneous Groovin’, thank you for your kindness, dad really enjoyed his conversations with friends like you here on YT. Thank you for your continued support of the channel, hope you can also visit the museum. Best, Britt
Oh I'm saddened to learn Joe passed on. Approx. 6 months ago I came across a interview Joe conducted with Elvis guitarist James Burton. What a magnificent interview. I quickly learned Joe, was the real deal. When it came to honoring Artist based on their contributions. Contributions that improved & helped people live their emotions thru the music. Thus improving their spirit. It's been several months I still would like to offer my condolences. Joe's impact will go on. Enlightening the next generation to appreciate and honor the musical geniuses of the past and present.

My condolences and sympathy to the family. I had hoped to try to meet Joe on my next trip to Nashville. I have been pouring through his videos since I heard the bad news. RIP Joe. I enjoyed your videos and you always were great about replying to me and others. That can be uncommon on YT. I will miss your videos and your replies to my comments and questions.

Well dang. I've have enjoyed so many of Joe's presentations over time and condolences to the Museum family. Really good stuff and Joe will certainly be missed, dang.
I was saddened to hear of Joe's passing this past September. I truly enjoy his youtube videos. I was so very happy to watch the video about Mr. Bill Lowery and his connections to the music industry. I especially love this video because he interviewed Mr. Joe South. This video and the one about the making of Blonde On Blonde are to me extremely precious because there are no videos of Joe South available to watch, except when he was on Crooks and Chase, and Joe Chambers was able to get these interviews and share with us. Joe Chambers was such a kind individual. He always responded when comments were written about his videos. What a busy and very thoughtful man Joe Chambers was to all of us fans. He will be so very missed.

I was shocked when I learned of Joe's passing a couple weeks ago. I didn't know Joe personally, but I feel as though I've lost a good friend. He was always so kind and gracious to each and every one of us who shared his deep love of music and those who make it their passion. Joe never failed to respond to every comment I'd post, and he always made me feel as though he genuinely respected this layman's opinion. I wish I could have had just one opportunity to sit and talk to him one on one about everything under the sun music. His knowledge was encyclopedic, and Joe was a national treasure to so many of us who love music and relish stories about the pioneers and history makers of the music industry. Rest well, Joe Chambers. We'll miss you dearly.

Everything you said is true, we have said verbatim many of the same things… his mind was definitely a encyclopedia! Thank you for your continued support of the channel & for our family. Best, Britt
I offer my condolences to those who love and miss Mr. Chambers. I didn’t know him personally, although I think I would have enjoyed it. I’ve seen him on his UA-cam channel while conducting his legendary interviews with the important figures in country music. I’ve posted comments on two or three of those interview videos and he responded to each one of them with a short response of ‘thanks and glad you enjoyed it.’ Some may suggest that it’s a small bit of interaction, and they may be right about that. But, he did reach out to me personally and offered me kind words. So, there it is. Those few interactions that I had with Mr. Chambers were very cordial, and I would describe his manner as being gracious . If there’s only one or two experience available to reach an assessment of a man’s character, then gracious is just about the best result a man could ask for, in my view. He was an important figure in the industry he loved and lived his life promoting, and he touched many people with his music. But he was also a typical southern gentleman, and that’s a pretty good kind of man to be. Rest in peace, Mr. Chambers.

All though I never met Joe, it was hard to not feel like you knew him. He did some great interviews, and I always tried to make it a point to thank him in the comments. The first time I did so, I called him Mr Chambers. He responded " Call me Joe". Even with a total stranger, he still wanted things to be on a first name basis. I was hoping to make the trip to thr museum someday, and be lucky enough to meet Joe. Today is May 4th. It would have been a great day to be there and see Joe & his lovely wife honored. I do hope y'all will share the ceremony with us. God Bless the family. R.I.P. Joe.

Condolences to the entire Chambers family. Joe was a giant in the music business and a kind man. I would comment to Joe’s UA-cam channel and he would write back quickly. One time, I told him that I saw all of the musicians live at the Fillmore East in New York that you have in your museum. That was the late sixties. He wrote back and said….Phil, I’m jealous, you’re a lucky man! I wrote back; Joe, I know I’m a lucky man to have lived in that time. However, the people watching your channel are even luckier, to have a gentleman named Joe Chambers to preserve all the music and memories we love forever. Rest in peace, Joe. You will be missed! I’ve loved Joe’s interviews for years and didn’t know he passed. This memorial taught me he was an incredible interviewer because he was an incredible human being. RIP Joe and thank you for your quiet yet powerful lessons.
What a great man he was. I never knew about his background, but really loved his interviews with musicians. He always too the time to respond in the comments. I am glad he had so many good friends to enrich his and their lives
Joe Chambers was one in a million and he did a great thing with this. A museum for musicians !! I'll never make it to a museum but if I did I'd want to be in Joe's "musicians museum in Tennessee" I could tell some stories of his generosity and how he helped a young guitar picker years ago. RIP JOE CHAMBERS GBNF Brother
I also was very saddened to hear of Joe's passing. Thank you for sharing this beautiful tribute to this "one of a kind" guy. I would have loved to have known Joe on a "personal" level.... but actually, the more I think about it....I probably in a way, did. I think we all did. Thank you Joe, for everything you've done, and through your spirit, will continue to do for the "musicians"....❤

Yes! I was amazed when he responded to a comment I made about his great interviewing ability. He was such a nice guy! I'm stunned.....what a loss. RIP.
Just found out myself.
Hello Donnie. This is a kick in the guts alright. Joe was a sweet soul. Peace.
RIP Joe
he would do that for me as well he met so many people that I wish I could have met such a nice man

Long live Joe Chambers. A true legend.

R.I.P. Joe.
John, thank you for sharing your story… that was totally dad. Even my kids called him Joe Joe, instead of grandpa.
Even though you didn’t meet him in person, you knew him, he was the exact same on YT as in person.
We will put out more content… hopefully some footage of the Walk of Fame induction as well.
Let me know when you visit the museum, you still feel his presence.
Thank you for your constant support for the museum & our family.
Best,
Britt
Such a beautiful tribute. I always loved watching Joe's interviews and wasn't aware of his passing. We're visiting Nashville for the first time on the 4th of July week and hope to visit the MHOF. RIP and God's blessings to Joe and his family. What a legacy!
It's an amazing collection. You'll be glad if you go.
I enjoyed many episodes of Musicians Hall of Fame, and extend my condolences to his family and friends.
It is a Long walk to Heaven, the road is filled with holes and rocks, hills and valleys, Joe's journey is over, may he bask in the Glory of the Lord. RIP Joe Chambers, Your legacy will live on..
Joel, your words are beautiful. Thank you for your truth, kindness, & continued support for the channel…. It would mean so much to dad & does to me too.
If you ever visit the museum, let us know.
All the best,
Britt
I didn’t know Joe passed away. I was, and will always be, a huge fan. I am sorry for your loss ❤

Thank you, family, for sharing this with us.
a life well lived...miss you in the living years, Joe.
My son and I visited the museum last year during a trip to Nashville and meeting Joe was truly one of the highlights of our trip. He took time to visit and share what was going on with the museum. He invited us to come back to the museum before we flew home, which we of course did. Such a kind, genuine, friendly gentleman. We were honored to have the opportunity to meet him. He was one of a kind. Our sincere condolences to the family.
Michael, you described dad perfectly. I am so happy you were able to hang with him, it always made his day to meet his YT friends at the museum.
Your kind words and continued support for the channel mean so much to us- if yall visit again let me know.

Joe Chambers was a passionate music lover. His interest and resonance with the musicians and artists made all his interviews an incredible source of historical knowledge that will help people around the world understand how music succeeded in the USA from the start of recorded music to this day. I just watched a vid last night and was so happy my UA-cam channel recommended the video. Haven’t watched Joes interviews in couple months and happy to reconnect. He was so peaceful and accommodating that you felt as if you knew him. I don’t know why I started unexpectedly crying when I saw this sad news. I am so happy to learn that he loved Jesus. Maybe we will meet and talk music in heaven.

Looking forward to meeting you Joe.
Im grateful I got to exchange a few words with Joe on this channel, and in doing so it felt like I was speaking with a friend. I can imagine that all of the fine musicans he spoke with over the years must have also felt his gracious, easy going spirit. While the man may no longer be in this world, his sweet spirit continues living here, and in all who know him. Rest easy, Joe Chambers. You done good, and blessed be your soul. We are richer for having known you. From Glenn, Florida.

I so enjoyed his interviews. His knowledge of who's who in the music business was so deep. He could scratch information surfaces that the lay person would not know existed. These inerviews really added to my enjoyment of music!
Joe may have known THAT he was Loved, but I dont think he knew HOW MUCH. I have been commenting to Joe for more than 6 years. He ALWAYS took the time to reply, to Each and EVERY one of us. Over the years Joe and myself have had Many conversations. I will miss that. REST WELL JOE. 😎🇺🇸
Thank you and God bless you all!!
Thank you Wayman.
God bless you and your entire family.
Was at the museum last summer. It's an important place. I hope Joe's labor of love will become fully realized.
God bless him he was such a gracious guy. I was going to visit him later this year when I head to Nashville, now we'll catch up in the sweet by and by. Condolences to Joe's family, rest in peace my friend.
He was a true gentleman in every respect !! What a loss for us he leaves behind and what a special gift to heaven !❤🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Joe is appreciated more than he probably ever knew! RIP
This hits pretty hard, what a mighty mentor, and inspiration. Long Live Rock & Roll
Joe was a selfless, kind soul, and I enjoyed his insights. Rest in Peace, Joe.....amd Thanks for all you did!
MAGA MAN, thank you for your kind words & continued support for the channel, it would have meant so much to dad & does to me too.

Rest in Peace, Joe. You've made a difference, bud.
David, I agree, you did. Dad was the same on video as he was in person, and he really enjoyed his friends like you here on YT.
Your kind words and continued support for the channel would have meant so much to dad.
Hope you can visit the museum.
