Hello again! I installed the diff brace, z1 subframe collars and z1 poly trans mount, and I am super happy with the result! Power transfer is much focused and my wheel hop is non-existent! And like you said, my exhaust also sounds deeper, how it happened, I also have no idea 😂 Im definitely a big fan of driver feel mods as well!
vq_josh Many others experience the same thing with the exhaust note. Something to do with less vibration/movement in the transmission which translates to a deeper exhaust note. I think GearHead Autofab explained it some on his channel, check him out.
Love your videos man! What other driver feel mods would you recommend? (besides RJM clutch pedal and a short shifter)? Also noticed you heat wrapped your exhaust, I was thinking of doing the same thing especially since it runs so close to the diff
Thanks, I appreciate that! For driver feel mods, I'd suggest Z1 subframe collars, and brake cylinder brace. I still cooked my diff on track, but for street use, you'd definitely be fine just wrapping the exhaust.
@@jellofuel Even with the high capacity diff cover? Yea those mods are more for a track only dedicated car I guess, especially the sub frame bushings lol. Thanks for the reply! Excited for more videos, Idk how you don't have a lot more subs
Yep! The diff was unpredictable at times. My last track day I was taking Turn 1 at Road Atlanta 20 mph slower than I was hitting because of it acting up. Definitely needs a cooler for track duty. And thanks! I love sharing what I've learned and need to figure out how to get more subs lol
Did you have to drop the diff to put that z1 cover on? So how's it feel different? Is the transfer of the shifts any quicker. I imagine taking the movement out of the diff must put it down faster
Yes, you'd need to drop the diff. Shifts just feel faster. The diff brace virtually eliminates wheel hop on hard shifts. With 165 k miles on my z, the Z1 diff cover wasn't enough to keep the diff cool at my last track day - the VLSD started acting like an open diff.
@@Sergio-rn7os You'd definitely have clearance issues, according to Z1's site. The brace is 128 through Z1, though we got it Black Friday sale for 98 bucks.
@@jellofuel yep, hopefully they can come up with something that will have a bigger bend I'm sure when people start complaining they will make it happen. All I got to do is wait
Solid review man, no pun intended!
lmao! And thanks, I appreciate it!

My soho exhaust is already deep...your saying this will make my hr sound like Morgan Freeman?
It won't affect what observers hear, but will have a huge impact on the NVH,... so yes, you will think God is talking to you. lmao

Just bought one for my G37 for the stock diff cover!
Awesome! How well does it perform on the G?
@@jellofuel Just received it so I haven't installed it yet. Those who have are reporting good results from it. Less wheel hop, less drivetrain slop.

Is that a diff insert I see? Or did you install a solid diff bushing?
No, it's an energy suspension rear diff bushing. Replaced the set of rear diff bushings, though I should have gone solid.
How much was this diff support
Sergio Check out Bell Raceworks. I think it’s around $150.
@@johnpowers4076 that's very reasonable, I'm worried about it may not fit with a soul function rear subframe tie bar
