Well… here is the view on it. I moved to Washington State and I was offered a job working for a window cleaning company. I learned a lot cleaning windows. But my family and I moved from Washington state and Moved to S.C! So now, I have a little bit more experience in window cleaning. But after being in real estate with my wife, I have had the opportunity to start a business and work the houses that we have sold and made extra money doing that! So I guess I was lucky enough to learn from a company that cleaned windows in PNW! The rest is history!
You could be honest and offer to work for free for a week a soak up everything you can! And be forever grateful! Like Austin said, tell him your intentions and you may be surprised. Go get it!!
We actually did that in our last location but I already knew that I was moving locations and I still profit from training a new technician in my company he still calls and I still help but I would not do it if I was planning to stay in a certain location
Paying techs $25/hour, challenging to live on. Add +$15 or +$32 in benefits? Total $50-60/hour. Value fair work. How do techs' earnings compare to benefits? It's complex, but important for a responsible business owner to address. Can you provide more details?
Nothing about this business is as easy as the tube portrays it. You will quickly realize how short the lifespan of your entry level equipment is. Be honest You cannot just wash one part of a super dirty house, it only makes other portions of the home dirty. Example : Soft washing a roof clogs the gutters up with debris therefore requiring gutter cleaning.
Off topic but ik you also do window cleaning. Have you ever had steel wool rust out your strip washer or ( T bar scrubber ) I’ve recently came out to my truck the day after I used a lot of steel wool on a job and the whole thing was rusted out
In what circumstances does the water need to be collected and taken to a water treatment plant? As an example, can degreasers just be washed off and not collected?
What should be the very first thing when wanting to do this business? Get certified, start the LLC, get all my equipment, secure leads? Seems like a lot to get this off the ground.
Just claim that your starting a sole proprietorship. No real rest up. In az, I don’t need DBA so I bought a domain name for the website and all taxes are done through my personal account. For me in az, all I need is equipment, insurance, a good appearance, save 20% for taxes, and the drive to get out there door knocking. I’m making flyers rn, and just starting out 💪🏼
California sucks lol they are asking for a contractors license which requires at least 4 year of journeyman experience to start a pressure washing business. Any way to get around it?
Honda civic guy- I did a $400 job today out of a Volvo c30. Go get after it
If you go buy a work truck, you can probably make $2400😮
@@matthewrobinson6297 only if you get the job lmao
I use a Jeep Cherokee with a cargo carrier, carrying 4gpm pressure washer and surface cleaner.

That’s only to get jobs over $500. Just start for four years then get the CL.
I don't mind watching you, and the jobs you do, but what I don't like is you talking about the money on how much you make,
Why not hire him for a 10 month contract at x $
Get a trailer
Employees leaving to go off and try on their own is an inherent risk in the business. Its not even worth worrying about.
