Amazon is a growth story but they are literally forcing away businesses from their most profitable divison i.e. AWS (mostly to Azure) since Amazon competes with so many of them.. They pay very little tax to offshore countries where they have their factories, r&d, offices, etc.. and the U.S takes in taxes for their offshore works along with all the national taxes.
Hence, the multinational companies can take advantage of the brains, cheap labors and raw materials of other countries, and the United States citizens and the government enjoy a cut of the profits made by these companies.

@@ArtSmosh1274It's debatable. I don't actually think that they do. Apple has a very very small market share for their products. Of that market share, they have to convince people to use their services over the competition. For the majority of their products that don't work out all that well. Examples include but are not limited to there music streaming service, cloud storage option, Office suite, and messaging platform.
iMessage may be amazing but at the end of the day consumers still, end up using a third party messenger app that gets to make far more money. Now I understand that they have begun expanding certain services but the point stands that the exclusive ones do not do much for Apple in terms of revenue generation.

I would like to learn the difference between the intellectuals whom actually develop these technologies and the ones whom take those technologies and apply them to market trading. Bezos didnt invent the internet but he was able to invest in shipping factories to ship products beginning with books. My question is the innovation here. What are the categories of study which these innovators occupy really.

The stock charts of those companies are getting too steep, generally such steep charts mean a correction (purely looking at the past). We are in a crash anyway but it's the beginning. Literally right now is a crucial moment cuz the Dow just broke out of the 26,000 point mark but if it get's pushed back towards that mark again, then bad news is ahead.

Not even they could do that. Their market caps are 30 times their annual revenues, and ~95% of revenue is spent immediately on expenses. Besides, they could do a lot more for us by investing in R&D for their own profit.
Also there's nothing necessarily wrong with national debt.

False. There are ways they've used to get massive tax breaks, or put off paying taxes until later so they could invest more now. For instance, R&D research is a tax break for the Feds, and each of these are R&D heavy. Also employ stock options are a tax break, and they use a lot of them.
They all pay state and local taxes where applicable.

Funny thing is that Sony makes most of its money from selling life insurance in Japan. They actually lose money every year selling electronics yet they keep doing it. They should stick with music, movies and life insurance and ditch their phones, game systems, stereos and TV'S. MAYBE keep the PlayStation around because i believe they can make on it from selling the games and PlayStation Plus service.
