Hey Luke! Just wanted to come out and say I'm an amateur speedcuber with dreams of becoming world class and I really enjoy watching you perform so well in competition! Sometimes it's hard to find the motivation to practice and you're my inspiration to keep at it. Thanks for doing what you do.
Based on what I've seen so far 1. The outer layer looks very obviously bigger. Wider outer layers have been around in 4x4 for a while (like in the Meilong 4x4, the inner is 14.5mm and the outer is 15), but it's generally not as obvious as a big cube (5x5+). This is one of the few where you can visually see the layer size differences in an instant rather than having to look more carefully or to measure it out. I'm generally quite excited for this, I think it helps with grip better especially for edge pairing and 3x3 stage 2. 5 of the past Aosus include the original (2013 or 14), mini (2015), GTS1(2017 i think), GTS2 (2018) and WRM (2020). There seemed to be a missing 6th version unless the Weisu or the new batch mini counted. (for those who dont know, in 2015 the Mini Aosu has white internals, but in late 2016 and early 17 there were some with primary internals that feel a lot faster and better) 3. The anchor size looks different. If you look at the corners especially, every other Aosu version has one big anchor deeper in the cube and one small anchor seated directly above it. The v7 seems to have 2 big anchors of roughly the same size. Many of the other 4x4s including the Meilong, and virtually all the modern 5x5+ cubes except the Aochuang WRM have already done this, but this is the first time it happened in the Aosu series.
I used the AoSu WRM for three years until I got the MGC, and I miss using my WRM ever since the stickers got a bit scuffed. I can’t wait to try this out!
Hey Luke! Great video! I would love it if you uploaded more, maybe just comp highlights or just solves at home. I miss seeing a new Luke Garrett video ever couple days.
If I had to guess I'd say that the fourth version of this cube like we has inner magnets on the inner layer tracks. With door layer puzzles, it's difficult to add corner to core magnets in a way that significantly alters the inner layer turning because you need two magnets on each side (see any magnetic 2x2 or the recent kilominx release). I'm pretty excited, I've been waiting for a upgrade for my WRM.
There are a few new 4x4s coming soon, and this one is the one I'm most excited about. The Aosu WRM is still one of the best, and it was released in 2019. I'm excited to see how much better the new Aosu is. I'm really interested in how the triple magnetic version performs.
Thanks, I was waiting for reviews on this cube. As someone with smaller hands and lighter turning style the AoSu V7 soulds like the perfect fit for me - I just have to find out which version.
Hey Luke, not sure if your gonna see this, but i am 14 and i am going to my first competition tomorrow🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳. Pls give me some tips on how to preform good, what to expect, and how to control nerves. Anyone elses advice will be greatly appreciated. I will let yall know how i did after the comp
Do you know if the uv is more durable than past moyu uv cubes? I’d hate to spend so much for a new 4x4 just for it to break in one drop like how my v5 did
Should I get this or the MGC UV? Price doesn't matter to me, my current main is the GTS2 but one of the center caps keeps falling off so it's almost unusable.
Hey bro, i have the rs3m v5, and it is a great cube, got my first ever sub 8 single with it at home, and my first ever sub 11 second ao5. But i must say, I got the v10 spring version, only a little more expensive, but very worth it I got a 7.84 full step pb single, and then a 7.60 pb single with a pll skip. And a FREAKING 9.61 ao5 first ever sub 10 ao5 without even being to close to sube ten with my previous pb ao5 10.32. Anyways, what i am trying to say is, v5, very great cube will probably fit most people, but v10, if it works, it WORKS
Do you know how much the cube is going to cost? I also heard Steven talk about how corner to core magnets cause some slices to be inconsistent to others, do you feel that in this cube?
I haven’t done a big session of 4x4 solves in a while so the PB might’ve been partly because I don’t practice much, I also want to try officially first
I would say a similar speed to the vin but more stable, I haven’t used the others for a while so I’m not sure how to compare, but this is better than those imo

same here
I’ve been trying to become world class in 2x2 for months when all I could’ve done was one look 1872829462784 move layers like Luke
the extra 48 magnets are located on the tracks of the inner midges and inner tracks of wings, basically a 3x3 magnet layout for the inner layers
Ahh interesting
yeah thats not new but it is cool
Yes Luke in is unboxing era!
Your turning is so satisfying 😭
woooo a 4x4 for small hands!! its crazy how huge the normal 4x4s are
Very happy to see another unboxing!
Congrats on the PBs! 🎉
I just got my 3x3 PB single earlier this week. 10.80! You make me look slow! 😂
I have an angstrom setup version of the double track headed my way! Happy holidays Luke!

Luke Carrot videos always make me happy. Haha😂 thanks for the fun and entertaining cubing content.
Good to see some 4x4 innovation
I am really exited that moyu is releasing a new 4x4 considering 4x4 hardware has been pretty old beside the vin cube.
Your turning is so smooth I love it!
I love mini cubes so much, this will be amazing! 🤩
Damn your tps😮
Yay luke unboxing, I love these, i cant wait for a gan vs moyu 4x4 battle

Love the reviews
Finally I can get back into big cubes let’s go
Moyu is at it again.
Cool video. BTW I think you should increase the height of your tripod so that everything can fit in the camera.
1:14 could you make a review on the meilong 6x6 and 7x7 v2 m? It really helps a guy trying to get into big cubes. thanks.
Very excited! I’ve held off on getting an Aosu ever since i heard about this coming out. Hope to see more content with it!

Hello! I was wondering if you have any cube recommendations.
Also, how did you learn cfop?
Have a good day!
Thanks, I was waiting for reviews on this cube. As someone with smaller hands and lighter turning style the AoSu V7 soulds like the perfect fit for me - I just have to find out which version.
Yay new 4x4
Lighting fast at 4×4
este cubo LO CAMBIA TODO
luke carrot unboxing W
Wow great review maybe I should get one😄!!! I have small hands and I also do have a light turning style so hopefully it would suit me well🤔
very nice
(i had no idea there were 6 versions before this lol)
Same lol
6?
blue parrot unboxing 😍
Satisfying (sub 20 officially soon)
Hey Luke, if you were to compare the 4x4 that you unboxed in the video with a 3x3. Which one would you think the 4x4 would compare to.
Looks really nice, and I love smaller and lighter cubes so this is definitely on my radar. Better than the vin?
Probably depends on the person, for me I’m not sure yet but it’s close
He rotates the box as fast as the cube
Bro the pfp change on top fr
Great vid! How does it compare to previous 4x4 flagships in feel (and performance)? For example, compared to the wrm or the mgc?
It’s much lighter and faster feeling, but still maintains stability because of the corner core magnets
It sounds kinda good🤔😀
Is it releasing within the next month or so?
I’m not sure
Probably
Why did you drop out of Michigan championship also I like your videos a lot
great video!!!!
I will let yall know how i did after the comp

wow that is so cool i think im gonna bye it
luke is sigma (no glazing)
Hello there Luke!
Should I get this or the MGC UV? Price doesn't matter to me, my current main is the GTS2 but one of the center caps keeps falling off so it's almost unusable.
I just got a vin 4x4, and moyu releases this 😢
Luke, Which 3x3 would you recommend to me?
RS3 M v5
@@LukeGarrett Thank you so much for the tip!
Hey bro, i have the rs3m v5, and it is a great cube, got my first ever sub 8 single with it at home, and my first ever sub 11 second ao5. Have you tried the 160 magnets? What you think about it? I don't know what to choose... Let me know!
Do you know how much the cube is going to cost?
I also heard Steven talk about how corner to core magnets cause some slices to be inconsistent to others, do you feel that in this cube?
Don’t know how much it will cost, the slices feel pretty consistent to me
@@LukeGarrett thanks
I don't think this has corner to core magnets, I think the magnets are like the ones in the SteVin 4x4
Edit: I'm actually not sure now
Is it better than the Vin4?
Damn. Im betting $10 that their next flagship will have a nonnilion versions lol.
What is your principal?
Nice video
Bro no way, I just bought the aosu 4x4💀Do you think It's worth buying that one if I have the original?
you got a bunch of PBs, but why isn' it an automatic main? lol
I haven’t done a big session of 4x4 solves in a while so the PB might’ve been partly because I don’t practice much, I also want to try officially first
hey luke, i was wondering if you think this is an upgrade over the vin because i just received it and i average low/mid 40
I think it probably varies person to person, I would say if you’re happy with the Vin you don’t need to buy this cube
@@LukeGarrettok thanks luke!
where can i buy it
Do you think this cube could be good for 4x4 Blindfolded?
Could be, although the small size might make it difficult to do slice moves accurately while blindfolded
Is it your main now ??
Not sure yet
how does this compare to its predecessor, the mgc and the vin cube?
I would say a similar speed to the vin but more stable, I haven’t used the others for a while so I’m not sure how to compare, but this is better than those imo
@@LukeGarrett thank you so much sounds like this is a really awesome cube, its nice seeing 2 new 4x4s after years of no new hardware.
What is your opinion on the name Ryan? And is it better than Bryan?
I like it, it’s better than Bryan but worse than Brian
@@LukeGarrett ok. I will ask Ryan pilat now.
what's your main 3x3 rn?
Rs3 m v5
My mgc 4x4 just shipped out today smh
4x4 looks so scary compared to 3x3
Setup?
Lubed with silk, loosened by a quarter turn out of the box
Luke Sigmarret
How many cost this cube ?
Don’t know yet

V7 vs Stevin?
I haven’t tried the Stevin unfortunately

Yo new 4x4 skibidi
