He has effected my life in unmatched ways, he really reminds me that our idols are just normal people and the times that I’ve spoken to him have been some of the most fun conversations I’ve had, especially in the cubing community. Thank you Feliks for being an amazing and kind hearted example for our community.

As someone who goes to a lot of the same competitions as Feliks, I can genuinely say he is such a good role model in the community. He's friendly with everyone, not just fast cubers and delegates. He has learned mine and my brother's names by about the third or fourth competition we'd been to, he doesn't shy away from volunteering at comps, he's super humble, and he's always happy to take photos with kids or sign their cubes or whatever. Plus, he's really useful since the younger kids are more likely to listen to him if their being to loud or disruptive
Amazing job on the video. Brings up lots of emotions, not just because of shared memories but also because Feliks was a big inspiration for me when I started cubing. King!
Feliks is such a likeable guy, very hard to hate, a good role model regardless of whether or not you're a cuber and above all he is and always will be the Greatest Cuber Of All Time. Honestly I'm glad you made this video it really inspired me, and I bet others too, to work harder to achieve their aspirations and reach their full potentials. Good job Chris!

Max currently has about 65 wrs. Considering that he has pretty much no one to compete with in big cubes (while feliks had Kevin) there is a good chance Max might actually beat the 121 world record tally.
One of the best videos I ever watched for sure! Feliks changed my life in a way that I can't express in words. Defnetly the best cuber that existed and will ever exist! Unbeliaveble job Chris!
What a harrowing story. I don't know how to solve a Rubik's Cube but I recently felt the urge to buy one and try to learn to solve it. I researched different kinds of cubes online and I discovered what speed cubing is. Then I stumbled across this video. By the end, I was literally crying my eyes out. Feliks Zemdegs... it will be a name I won't ever forget. For speed cubers I obviously see why Feliks is so revered but I was drawn to his genuinely kind nature and charitable smile. For me, what matters is that someone is a good person. Rich. Poor. Talented or not. It doesn't matter. Just be a good person. Not only do I bow to Feliks but I bow to his parents for raising such a fine young man. It's heartening to know that the world of cubing has this genuine and talented star sitting at its apex.
If you enjoyed this mini documentary, I *highly* suggest watching two other great ones. "Why We Cube" is a UA-cam documentary on this very same channel. It follows the story of about five famous speedcubers and how they got into it/what it means to them, etc. Then follow that one up with the Netflix documentary "The Speedcubers" which follows the friendship and competition between Feliks Zemdegs and Max Park. @@YourLocalCafe I meant what I said. Feliks's world records are harrowing, akin to walking a tightrope across the Grand Canyon. I asked my friend who had just learned how to cube and I asked him if he knew any good cubers out there. He said " Feliks " Feliks Zemdegs is truly the best cuber out there and no one can deny it.
Amazing and inspiring video ! When I started cubing , Feliks was my inspiration , it's great to see he has come this far ! Definitely one of greatest videos I've watched, thank you so much Chris!
It's a genuine miracle that Feliks started when cubing was a relatively small community, which grew with him as he broke all those records and reached new and dazzling heights. His journey has inspired up and coming cubers young and old, and has had a direct impact on the blossoming of the community. We can't thank you enough Feliks, and thank you to this channel for celebrating his legacy ❤️
He's always been my idol, this video just made my day. Even though I can't see him in person as I live in India,I think of him as an idol, an inspiration and mentor
This video speaks to me emotionally on so many levels as someone who grew up cubing intensely, I literally had to stop the video 56 seconds into it because I just don't feel like crying like a bitch right now. The old cubing vids, footages of cubing competitions, everything is just too much to handle 😢
Cyo, you are the Feliks of filming... I have no words....I am so impressed.... so good! Love you buddy thank you.....this is like the 16 or 17th time im watching this and im still mindblown. Wow!
I think if feliks never existed, neither would worlds in Australia, or many other Australian competitions. I live in Melbourne and it is great to have heaps of competitions in my area. Feliks is a very nice and approachable guy good to talk too, amazing what Feliks has done. And extremely well made video Chris
True. He contributed so much to the community. He inspired so many to start cubing. He is the reason the cubing community is so big right now. There is a fair chance some of the people watching this video would never have touched a cube in their life if he never existed.
Oh boy, I love this even just by having this the first video I see today. I was thinking of a video on how FAZ is the best speedcuber of all time, but I don't need to now 😂 This takes the absolute cake. Thank you so much for this work of art Chris ❤️
Anyone get emotional watching this? I've looked up to him for years and he has had such a huge impact on the community. It's crazy to think other cubers have caught up to him now. But regardless, Felix will always be our hero!
Yeah this vid is better than mine. Do you think there's a way to quantify a speedcubers lifetime performance, and if so how much would Faz dominate? Like Don Bradman's 99.94 test batting average, but for cubes.
Came back to this after many years. Haven't met him but I've yet to come across someone who's been as grounded in spite of being the most dominant of his generation. Hope we get more cubers of his breed in the community
wow, i never knew about his humility! in my opinion, being humble is what earns the most amount of respect for someone who's famous. i'm proud to have started cubing in the zemdegs era!
that smile he has whenever he achieves something so great and deemed impossible is priceless. keep on going, sir! thank you for being countless cubers' inspiration and for changing cubing history.

Rewatched this. Still so inspiring.
he may someday disappear but his legacy and the people that he inspired will never forget him
it’s sad to think now he has got no world records but i believe he is gonna come back and smash some world records
This really puts Feliks' impact on speedcubing into perspective, outstanding video as always!
Economics exam can go to trash. Chris has uploaded about my idol and the GOAT. Gotta have priorities.
Edit :-Dam i did great😂.
This guy knows what priority really is.... long live sir
So very true lol
Which state do you live in?
@@jackgregory7610 i did lol
Bye Economics Exam lol
The only barrier he hasn't broke yet is sub 4
(At competitions yeah I forgot he has gotten multiple sub 4 solves at homes)
His pb is a 3.01
Millar TV he has several sub 4s At home
Someone else did
@Poké Kid yes he did, search 3.01 feliks zemdeg
The Intro just gives me goosebumps every time, love the documentary, thank you for this masterpiece
I asked my friend who had just learned how to cube and I asked him if he knew any good cubers out there.
He said " Feliks "
Feliks Zemdegs is truly the best cuber out there and no one can deny it.
Haven’t watched it yet and already know it’s going to be amazing
Amazing and inspiring video ! When I started cubing , Feliks was my inspiration , it's great to see he has come this far ! Definitely one of greatest videos I've watched, thank you so much Chris!
amazing vid love your channel
OwenCubes how did you finish it? It was posted 3 minutes ago and the video is 15 minutes long... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
i didnt watched 3 mins and its rly good
It's a genuine miracle that Feliks started when cubing was a relatively small community, which grew with him as he broke all those records and reached new and dazzling heights. His journey has inspired up and coming cubers young and old, and has had a direct impact on the blossoming of the community. We can't thank you enough Feliks, and thank you to this channel for celebrating his legacy ❤️
He's always been my idol, this video just made my day. Even though I can't see him in person as I live in India,I think of him as an idol, an inspiration and mentor
that was a really moving video, Chris. thank you for making videos like this.
This has honestly one of the most inspirational vids if seen in a while, almost cried xD
This video speaks to me emotionally on so many levels as someone who grew up cubing intensely, I literally had to stop the video 56 seconds into it because I just don't feel like crying like a bitch right now.
The old cubing vids, footages of cubing competitions, everything is just too much to handle 😢
Me too
Cyo, you are the Feliks of filming... I have no words....I am so impressed.... so good! Love you buddy thank you.....this is like the 16 or 17th time im watching this and im still mindblown. Wow!
Every community deserves someone like feliks
He’s an amazing cuber, and somehow an even better person
His son is probably gonna be a reincarnation of albert Einstein
I think if feliks never existed, neither would worlds in Australia, or many other Australian competitions. I live in Melbourne and it is great to have heaps of competitions in my area. Feliks is a very nice and approachable guy good to talk too, amazing what Feliks has done. And extremely well made video Chris
True. He contributed so much to the community. He inspired so many to start cubing. He is the reason the cubing community is so big right now. There is a fair chance some of the people watching this video would never have touched a cube in their life if he never existed.
This was so well put together!
Keep up the fantastic work CYO
He’s the one that give me the cubing spirit.Thank you Feliks!
Such a great video. Explains his upcoming, learning, domination, records, kindness, in just 16 minutes!!!
How did they do 7 second solves on Dayans from 2009/2010 XD
Skill, lmfao
I think the Dayan Zhanchi was invented in 2011...
@@codecraftercc Zhanchis weren’t the only Dayans that existed ya know?
The Greatest Speedcubing Video of All Time.
There’s lots of great ones, but yeah this is one of if not the best cubing video ever made
I love that little Feliks so much. His smile was soo cute
Too bad he grew up :p
This maybe have been the single greatest short-documentary I have ever watched! well done
This kid is a beautiful human being. The Netflix doc brought him to my attention and I’m so glad to know of him.
Oh boy, I love this even just by having this the first video I see today.
I was thinking of a video on how FAZ is the best speedcuber of all time, but I don't need to now 😂
This takes the absolute cake.
Hi
Hello!
I like the fact that u brought don bradman s batting average
Your video was awesome aswell, specially that little faz at the end
I don't think many people would know about Don Bradman
Came back to this after many years. Haven't met him but I've yet to come across someone who's been as grounded in spite of being the most dominant of his generation. Hope we get more cubers of his breed in the community
This is literally the story of Feliks life! What a story, really well made!❤😊
Feliks Zemdegs: the Greatest cuber of all time
Gorgeous Video! Its so fancy and cool simply wow!!! I love it 😍
Feliks Zemdegs is awesome and the best cuber out there!
@@mccardrixx5289 Of course he is :D
@@Stabruder Yessss!
It's sad to know that maybe in a few years, the new cubers might not even know who he is
That'd be one of the saddest things in cubing ngl.
This made me cry...😢
this was na amazing documentary that i will wach again and again.
9:13 why is this my first time seeing this clip
"name any barrier"
SUB 3
How abt sub 1?
"How about SUB 0"?
Wait what?!?
Someone made a video saying why it’s almost impossible to solve a cube in less then 3 seconds and said the record was 3.74 who did the world record
@Aaron Liang [Student] I heard he got to 2.99 secs.
and we got another upload from the greatest cubing cinematographer of all time
ROEVOSS yes
ROEVOSS please use smol words I cannot understand cinematogeapholgiycal
sorry
wow, i never knew about his humility! in my opinion, being humble is what earns the most amount of respect for someone who's famous. i'm proud to have started cubing in the zemdegs era!
that smile he has whenever he achieves something so great and deemed impossible is priceless. keep on going, sir! thank you for being countless cubers' inspiration and for changing cubing history.
