Look at getting some Mini Reels, much lighter although not geared. Anther tip when packing up is to pick up the step-ins and then stand with the reel and just wind it in without walking.
I think they will only have to be on the same paddock 2-3 times per year so the breaks will be much longer than a parasite's life cycle. I'll probably run a Fecal next year out of curiosity but I'm confident it will be negative :)

Thanks! Do you know of any light weight reels that hold 1000' of twine? That was the hardest thing for me to find...
