Hey Evan, just a thought...turn that harrow over, spikes up, then roll it up from the pipe end into a cylindrical shape. Weeds can't grow up through it. Happy farming!

I started following your channel when the subscriber total was in the 100's, and remember your "goal" of retiring and going full-time farmer. It happened a LOT faster than you anticipated, for sure. Livin' the Dream, Evan......good job.

Hey Evan, I have been following you from the very beginning. I love the fact that you are able to do this full time now. Great content! One thing to keep in mind when working the field is not to go at a 90-degree angle from the last work. Try going at about a 30 degree angle. It will still grab all the spots missed but will be way smoother to work the second time and also level out alot nicer as well. Keep up the great work, this Canuck is rooting for you!

Field looks great, Evan. Hope for a nice ground soaking rain...no gulley washers. Your canned veggies look mighty tasty. Enjoyed seeing you round up the steer and the ram....like playing in a maze. Y'all have a Blessed day.

If you've not already done so, it is time to add a magnet to the side-by-side toolbox so that when you next drop screws/washers in the grass it is easy to locate them. The is looking good, while not as smooth as you might want.

A roller after seeding should do that pretty well. Did many a suburban lawn that way and rolling the seed in helps keep the birds from eating it all. Makes it harder anyway.

When you were repairing the gate latch, and dropped the washers I thought of a suggestion for your toolbox---a magnet on a chain.

Put a chunk of chain from the drawbar to the harrow. Because if you turn to short you'll catch the harrow's front bar on the back wheel and it'll bring it up and do damage. Been there, done that.

I got 550 mm of back fusion. Trust me it’s not fun having a bad back, I can’t bend overonly by the hips , that water tank, you need to put some zip ties, so it doesn’t move around and wasting depressives. You can make a leveling drag from 2 pieces of old steel I-beam (RSJ) 7 feet long, laying on their sides, one behind the other, connected by chains about a yard apart. Make up a vee towing chain for it and it will level pasture and last a long time.

Evan, by the time you read this it will be after the fact, but might help don the road.
With the 2 7/8 pipe you may have left. Cut a piece 12-14 long then attach ome heavy duty old chainlink fence to it. Doubleif you have it. Makes a great drag and doesnt clog up too bad. Ive used one for years. The extra width will save you trip times. Just a thought you might like. Love your videos. Hope you get the rain. Dust sucks.

If you would like to double the width of the drag harrows buy another drag harrow then take a piece of the oilfield tubing you have to make a drag harrow pull bar.
make you a 3-point chain hook-up on the tractor side. Then connect your two drag harrows on the opposite side of your drag harrow pull bar with eye bolts with nylon locking nuts

Could have pulled that drag (spikes up) behind that spreader for one trip, it has a tow hole in a bracket on the rear frame of the spreader. Looks like you need to get an air ride seat for that tractor ! LOL (Joking) but they do make them for small tractors. Chickens are huge, they waddle when they walk.
