9 Rules to follow in Pattaya Rule #1: Never say it's your first time in Thailand. Rule #2: Don’t drive intoxicated. Be completely sober. Driving is crazy as it is. Keep your wits. Rule #3: Don’t get carried away with your drinking. You will magically have no money the next day. Rule #4: If you think it’s a man (i.e., Ladyboy), it is. Great advice, and for any first timers who get the idea of owning a bar, remember if one is for sale, its losing money. Thais don't sell business that make money.
Just finished my first 2 weeks here greatest place in world if you have a few quid to spend. I go home with a lot less cash but worth every penny. Wish i had came before i was 40 odd but still... Crazy
❤I was in the t8me bar on lk last week. I put 100b 8n the cup and walked out. One of the girls chased me down and said I put 1000b in the pot by mistake. Very nice of them.
1) Never bar fine a girl near your hotel, you'll have to avoid the place for the rest of the trip if it doesn't work out. 2) For the girls; it's a business and you are the product (only a sucker falls for the ole "but she's only a waitress). 3) For a couple of days with one lady, why? You pay for her time, all the food, shopping and incidentals. 4) A lot of girls there, not all don't like to kiss, are lousy lovers and it's all mechanical, leading to a poor evening. 5) If your foolish enough to take her out to eat many times she will order the most expensive menu items and much more then she can eat, because your paying for it. 6) Never use your credit card in ANY bar; except a hotel bar of a nice establishment. 7) Plenty of nice ladies there who aren't demonic succubus's. 8) The girl has to leave her ID at most hotel front desks and retrieve it on the way out. Tip the front desk clerk to call your room before she leaves to make sure you're ok. 9) Have fun- there are actually lots of things to see and do that don't involve drinking all night ie: Santuary of Truth, day trip to Ko Larn island, off road trekking, elephant sanctuary's, a really cool museum that features ships in bottles and plenty of shopping for clothing. Have fun be safe, don't be stupid. Lastly, never but never put your hands on a Thai. All Thais are royal subjects, hence if you do so you have assaulted a royal subject.

Wise words Trev… Especially concerning taking control and being in charge. In the UK particularly we are used to treating ladies respectfully and not hurting their feelings or upsetting them. I think the bar girls know this and cling on like limpets! Very difficult to shake them off or even stop them sleeping all day in your hotel room! Need to be firm sometimes. They will get over it, believe me!

Apologies for asking this on here, but, iv just watched another vlogger doing a piece on a bar called High Rollers on Soi pothole. Is the bar still there and have you done a vlog on it? Hopefully looking to come out next year and will defo be coming to meet you at Buzzin ( hopefully youre still going to be there.)
I first visited Pattaya in October 2011. Back then, no UA-cam, no Uncle Trevor to help newbies understand the city. I had to research hotels and nightlife by Google maps, (sparse) websites and vague TripAdvisor reviews. Your content/information is brilliant, Trev. Invaluable for anyone not familiar with this amazing city.
One tip you may have missed. Don't give your personal numbers, emails, FB, etc. accounts that you use regularly back home, as they will contact you with sad stories to get you to send them some money.
No.8 is something everyone should take note of - had a lady before who I took for a night and at 3 in the morning she said she was going because thats her time but on the other hand I had another lady who I was trying to get up to go at 10 in the morning because I wanted to go exploring and I finnally got her out the door at 2 in the afternoon which ruined my plans for the rest of the day

She got over it pretty quick and still text me to this day. I go to Thailand every year for one month so they all know I'm going back. I will also add, NEVER send them money. Always try have a rest the first day you arrive. It can be a short midday sleep or just short break - jetlag is no joke. It is better to lose half a day than the next whole day.
Hahaha for me it hit different: when I arrive in Pattaya it's usually after a very long flight and 30 hours of non sleeping. However I'm fully energised when I make it to Pattaya that I fully party from day 1. Don't need a rest, and I'm not even jetlagged. However when I return to my home country it takes me a full week to recover from the jetlag. Crazy

Sometimes depending on how you feel to have a few of her friends come out it makes your friend look good and you may enjoy yourself more its not that expensive to let rip and give yourself a great memory. Massage shops are an alternative way to meet girls. Thai, foot, oil from about 300 plus tip for what ever services you have. More formal, like buying a service like a haircut.
I learned a long time ago that before I bar fine a girl, I know who is going with me, that I would tell her I am a butterfly, and that I would be back to this bar but that I would not always bar fine her. I would buy her a drink and at times I would bar fine her again, but everyone knew from the beginning that I was a butterfly, and she lost no face when I did return and take another lady. The only time this does not work is if you take a bartender, they are on a different level, even if you had been a butterfly up to that point in that bar. I never had an issue in all the years I have been coming here by being honest up front.
The very last tip is 100% correct, they don’t like to lose face, you will get shit if you go with another girl (been there lol) it is double standards and not in your favour!! It’s what it is so be careful if you want to avoid a difficult situation….

Some Agogos if they think you are a newbie everyone will be asking you for a lady drink not just the dancers, you are not obligated to give everyone a tip only the lady of your choice. She may try to bring her friends over for you to give them lady drinks. They will take advantage of you if they can. Just be polite and firm. It’s ok to buy the mamasan a drink for info. Never tell the girls how long you are staying.

Just returned from thailand. Went to buzzin lounge, was nice relaxed pool and drink with Ying all was good. . In bangkok avoid midnight gogo as they split lady drink into spirt and mixer then charge you twice. In pattaya walking street gogo's didnt enjoy as a year ago (only giving out shots would let me get longer lady drink) Soi 6 & LK i woukd still say are the best. Myst was ok.
I knew better and still broke the rule of going to a girls club to meet her friend. It was passion on or near walking street, if I remember right. I got and immediately wanted me to buy drinks for her and all her friends. I kept saying no, I only buy for her and her one friend. She kept getting shots practically pouring them down my face trying to force me to drink them . I really started to get aggravated with them crowding me . Finally I said just stop I'm done . I want to pay my bin. I got the bill it was over 3k with 10 -12 drink and I know I only ordered 5 or 6. But I didn't argue or get emotional. I paid it and was told I had to leave if I wasn't buying more drinks. Then the girl ask if I was I still going take her and her friend sight seeing the next day.. I told her I would if she wouldn't have scam for 3k baht and I would never go back to her club

Most important make sure you have insurance. Dont bring wads of cash with you. Only bring out what you need. Dont drive bikes when you had z drink. Just enjoy yourself.

You do not want to parade several girls in front of a girl in the bar right in front of your Hotel that you have "been with".

Always try have a rest the first day you arrive. It can be a short midday sleep or just short break - jetlag is no joke.

Hahaha for me it hit different: when I arrive in Pattaya it's usually after a very long flight and 30 hours of non sleeping. However I'm fully energised when I make it to Pattaya that I fully party from day 1. Don't need a rest, and I'm not even jetlagged. However when I return to my home country it takes me a full week to recover from the jetlag. Crazy

Sometimes depending on how you feel to have a few of her friends come out it makes your friend look good and you may enjoy yourself more its not that expensive to let rip and give yourself a great memory. I learned a long time ago that before I bar fine a girl, I know who is going with me, that I would tell her I am a butterfly, and that I would be back to this bar but that I would not always bar fine her. I would buy her a drink and at times I would bar fine her again, but everyone knew from the beginning that I was a butterfly, and she lost no face when I did return and take another lady. The only time this does not work is if you take a bartender, they are on a different level, even if you had been a butterfly up to that point in that bar. I never had an issue in all the years I have been coming here by being honest up front.

16:00 Regarding taking different girls from the same bar; I think there is a bit of a double standard when the first girl gets upset when her customer goes with a different girl, because it is not like they really have any feelings for their customers. They only want as many customers as possible to maximize their earnings.

You just need a "I don't give a F" attitude. I had a girl I took out a few times but after a few days a new girl started working in that bar and she was so beautiful. So, I got her drinks, the other girl got really jealous and the mama-san took her upstairs. I go to that bar a lot so they all know me, all of the Mama-sans always looks out for me. They told the girl that it's my holiday so she should be ok with me getting any girl.
Was the girl mad? yes, did she lose face? yes, do I give a F? no. She got over it pretty quick and still text me to this day. I go to Thailand every year for one month so they all know I'm going back.

Some Agogos if they think you are a newbie everyone will be asking you for a lady drink not just the dancers, you are not obligated to give everyone a tip only the lady of your choice. She may try to bring her friends over for you to give them lady drinks. They will take advantage of you if they can. Just be polite and firm. It’s ok to buy the mamasan a drink for info. Never tell the girls how long you are staying.

In bangkok avoid midnight gogo as they split lady drink into spirt and mixer then charge you twice.
In pattaya walking street gogo's didnt enjoy as a year ago (only giving out shots would let me get longer lady drink)
Soi 6 & LK i woukd still say are the best.

I knew better and still broke the rule of going to a girls club to meet her friend. It was passion on or near walking street, if I remember right. I got and immediately wanted me to buy drinks for her and all her friends. I kept saying no, I only buy for her and her one friend. She kept getting shots practically pouring them down my face trying to force me to drink them . I really started to get aggravated with them crowding me . Finally I said just stop I'm done . I want to pay my bin. I got the bill it was over 3k with 10 -12 drink and I know I only ordered 5 or 6. But I didn't argue or get emotional. I paid it and was told I had to leave if I wasn't buying more drinks. Then the girl ask if I was I still going take her and her friend sight seeing the next day.. I told her I would if she wouldn't have scam for 3k baht and I would never go back to her club
