  • This 25-minute "foga" (fitness-yoga) routine is for my FemFusion friends who are feeling tight/stiff, or for individuals who have limited spinal mobility and are looking for a quick core workout. As always, follow my cues for breathing and technique and STOP if anything is painful or uncomfortable.
    If you have had surgery (including, but not limited to spinal fusion) DO NOT COMPLETE this routine unless you are fully recovered, pain-free, and have been cleared by your physician for moderate exercise. See full medical disclaimer below.

      You're welcome! This is an entire playlist dedicated to my "foga" (fitness + yoga) workouts: ua-cam.com/play/PLDputRBPsHFSDBhJoR7avYSxxvWwFdb9P.html In general, they're pelvic floor friendly, just be sure that you're breathing steadily and stop or modify if anything feels uncomfortable or "off" for your personal core/pelvic floor needs! And if you'd like a cool workout for stiff hips, try this one: ua-cam.com/video/2t-yPYfFclQ/v-deo.html

      I'm so glad you caught that part of the video! Yes, it's SUCH an important message... Bio-individuality. Everyone is different, and not all exercises will be suitable for all people. Thanks for watching!

      It should be fine as long as you follow my cues for breathing and technique, but please know that EVERYONE is different, and so you must always listen to your body! Stop if anything feels uncomfortable. Have fun!

    Just did this and your other spine fusion one for the first time today. How many days a week should I do these? THANKS SO much for doing these videos for spine fusion people! I had my fusion in 2012 and have been wanting to find something safe that I could do to strengthen my core so I can start getting in shape and lose some weight. Thanks again!!! Teresa

      You're welcome! Glad you liked it. I recommend varying workouts and doing them NO MORE THAN once/day. If you rotate between the two videos you've experimented with, and maybe even add my latest video to the mix (super subtle core, click here: ua-cam.com/video/j8YUP9YrAwc/v-deo.html), then you should be safe doing one of them per day, 4-6 days/week.

      Awesome!! Thanks SO MUCH for the reply!! I really appreciate it and am so glad I found your videos. So excited to do these and get healthy and lose some weight while strengthening my core. You rock!!

    Is this a good place to start for fat loss? I have had some health issues in the last couple of years, and have gained more weight than desired. Before that I was in great shape and quite lean, exercising 2-3 times a week, sometimes more, including weight lifting.

    • @erynspeers
      @erynspeers 6 років тому

      Sorry, I should add that I have been working with my gynaecologist to get to the bottom of some of these issues. My periods have become very irregular. She thinks I may not be ovulating, and that I’m experiencing endometrial hyperplasia. It’s not fun! I also have more acne than I did as a teen!

    • @vibrantpelvichealth
      @vibrantpelvichealth  6 років тому

      Eryn, I'm so glad you're working one-on-one with your GYN about this! Hormones can definitely play a role in stubborn weight (as well as the other issues you're currently dealing with). I suggest looking into an anti-inflammatory diet and daily relaxation, as well as moving more throughout the day. The "foga" routine here would be a great one to help you on your journey, and you might also want to check out my low-impact cardio videos here ua-cam.com/video/3-C7oaI0ibo/v-deo.html and here ua-cam.com/video/fordr2FQcds/v-deo.html If you do some searching around on my UA-cam channel (i.e. in my playlists) you can find info about meditation and nutrition, as well. All my best to you!

      FemFusion Fitness perfect! Thanks so much :) I hope I get to the bottom of the issue soon. In the mean time, though, I’m finding your videos very helpful and your workouts fun to do. Thanks for all that you do!

    I have two more questions, so sorry :( I was wondering if you have a video on learning how to breathe properly while doing foga? I am SO uncoordinated that I constantly catch myself holding my breath. Also, I signed up for your recipe for the freshening wipes and accidently deleted the email and my trash folder had dumped before I could rescue the recipe. Tried to sign up again but was unsuccessful. I am having a day of Senior Blonde Moments! Thanks so much for everything!!

    • @vibrantpelvichealth
      @vibrantpelvichealth  6 років тому +1

      Great question, and yes it's very common to feel frustrated by the breathing aspect! I think if you remember two (general) keys: exhale with exertion, and exhale when you fold forward, it'll help a lot. And if all else fails, just remember the SUPER SIMPLE key to never-ever-ever hold your breath. ;) Re; the towelettes email -- I'm happy to help! Here's a direct link to the recipe! femfusionfitness.com/refreshing-towelettes/

      Again, THANK YOU!! The breathing thing seems so silly for me to struggle with but then again, I am a blonde so we'll just blame it on that! LOL
