Fern, my white Boxer dog, is an accredited service dog under the 1992 DD act. She holds special access rights to be allowed to enter places most dogs cannot. This includes National Parks such as Chiltern Mt Piolet NP where Reedy Creek is located. Unless your dog is an accredited service animal they are not allowed to enter NP.
Check your local regulations, as each state and territory is different, before you travel into or though NP with your dog. Here is the Parks Victoria website for those of you wishing to read up on Victoria's laws 👉 www.parks.vic....
Why can’t you crush it wet ?
You have to classify it to re run the larger chunks and it gets all gummed up. Otherwise i would.
@@VoGusProspecting ok thanks for replying bro. I was just thinking you could run the hose pipe in the crusher at the same time 😉👍
I've tried it, it worked great for 1/2 a bucket and then I had a major jam and it took agest to fix.
@@VoGusProspecting have you, looks like you got a dusty job then lol 😂
You need a mini ball mill 👍
The reason your channel is the best gold channel? It's all about fun, adventure, and exploration. NOT profit! Thanks, Chris, for your many videos!
Any gold miner that says they are wealthy in cash is lying lol 😆
I watch 3 prospecting channel… Dan Hurd and Flour Gold Wizards. Vo-Gus is the best Gold prospecting channel.
@@darrelladams4188 Outback gold fever is also worth a watch. Vo-Gus' style of humour entertains me more I have to admit
After I crush it, I'll screen it dry and pick out the chunky bits from the classifier, it's the best part! You should consider a HEPA bag for the rc 1. No dust and the RC1 will blow gold out, specially the fine stuff. Then you can pan out what the RC1 blew into the HEPA bag
The reason that Chris is so successful, is because of his Positive Outlook and Perseverance.
That and he’s in gold country..😂
Gold prospecting is a "hobby" for all but the big industrial miners. That's simply what makes your channel so great. You're just one of us!
Well said!
Looks like you and Fern had a good day together...Fun is Fun as Fun is, best do it with your Bestie...
“POWER!!” Love it when we get a clarkson shoutout.
Well said Chris! Having fun is the best part. The gold is icing on the cake, I MD and I'm happy when I find a penny.
💛...plus, you got to play in the water while it's 40 degrees out... and, your silver lining...
Chris, there's a saying amongst machinists that goes something like "Why go to the hardware store and buy a tool for twelve bucks when you can spend eight hours and three attempts making it yourself!". LOL!
Ahahahaha, I live like this
Huh, the specialized tools I bought cost around a grand. Each.
12 dollar tools? Must be for your wife(husband) if you are that way.
If so butt play is gross 😝
@@alexislaisney3404 There are jobs that, to do it right, the tools cost ten grand each.
I'm glad that you could buy the tools to do your job!
I was talking more about hold down clamps and stuff like that.
I wish you the best, my friend!
@@VoGusProspecting I like your respect for "old tools".
Well done having a good time, doing something you love, sharing it with us and.... stickin' it to the "negative persons"! Full respect to you bud & keep on lovin' it. 👍 Marty, U.K.
(Give Fern a scratch from me!)
You need a hose that goes from the rc to a bucket of water (a boiler bucket ) where the air output has to flow threw water before escaping to the outdoors
Thank you, Chris. I love your passion and excitement, besides the fact that you are humble.
Love that excitement of finding new ground.
Well done sir. Thanks for sharing your adventure Chris.
Always good to hear where i should be looking and what i should be looking for before i go to pan. Thanks for your video's.
Have you considered affixing a vacuum cleaner bag over the outlet to control the dust?
Looks like great potential. Have fun and good luck!
Come home exhausted from work, get to enjoy watching you pan for gold!!
Thanks
Thanks for the great vids. I like seeing gold, even if it’s a small amount. It’s fascinating to me. Have a great day!
That was a great time
Just a thought, probably mentioned b4, mount the sprinkler so it sprays the mist, and therfore the dust, down. Love your stuff here in the us... thank you.
Diggin the beard. You have to have an old man beard to go with the old man back and the old man knees!!
Dude I straight love your videos. I always try and learn what ya teach and I’m about to get into it and this video on the new creek helps me know where to look.
Thanks
What an amazing adventure, and for me, that's what it's all about, sure you want to find a bonanza of gold, but any is fantastic and with minimal outlay you can get something back and the experience is priceless
Love your vids Chris
Cheers 👍🤓✌️
None of us get out of this alive. Therefore, with that in mind, I feel the pursuit of things that mean something to us is more important than the chase of what others consider valuable, such as money
@@VoGusProspecting for sure.... I'm suffering post Covid atm 🤣, and I'm hanging out to get back to a spot I'd only just started when I got Covid, wondered why I had no energy 🤣😂
( that was the Friday before Xmas)
I still managed to get 0.36g, which some people wouldn't even bother with, but for me, just doing the hard yards walking the 2-500mtrs along the creek, over log jams, slippery rocks in leech infested water and a few hundred mozzies, is all worth it to see some of that lovely shiny yellow stuff 🤣👍🤓
Hope you, Zoe, Fern, Gadzee, Mick and everyone had an amazing Xmas and new year's
✌️
All that glitter's isn't necessarily gold but half the fun is the hunt for it. I've found gold, silver, diamonds, ruby's and just about everything in-between and the most interesting part of all of it was the hunt. I've seen some very beautiful scenery and taking tens of thousands of pictures of some of the most beautiful places in the world. The biggest gold nugget I've ever found was 7.06 grams of pure gold, the rest was just flake or smaller. The best part of all of it was being out in the great outdoors with family and friend's.
I love watching your videos and how enthusiastic you are. I live in Ohio and we have very little access to any kind of gold. I have to order all of mine online to do it home but when I go visit my sister and Colorado I can't get enough gold panning! One day I wish to travel to Tasmania and Australia to see about the gold prospecting down there. And I can't wait for your next video! I've had some health issues and had to have surgeries and I can sit for hours on your UA-cam page. Just watching your videos.
Ya know Chris, you kinda do the same things over and again but you never do them all in the same video, and it's sort of like a long arc theme thing. So the end result is everything continues to feel fresh and entertaining. Keep doing that, thank you!
Did you have fun that is all that matters and our people watching your videos hell yeah they are keep up the great work man love your content from the states
Don't forget stamping ore is great for venting frustrations!
Awesome video here Chris. Always nice to see you getting better at the hard rock mining/smelting of gold prospecting. 👍
Always fun watching you! Thanks
Thank you for your hard work and awesome editing Chris..
For me the next pan could be the one that finds the motherload or gets u into the direction atleast that's what would feed my energy to do pan after pan
Love the passion and enthusiasm of all your videos and the fact alot of it is about the journey and people not the outcome.
Love your work and give Fern a scratch from all the Wallace tribe
Loving the show Chris all the best from Scotland 🏴
Stay warm mate
@@VoGusProspectingIn bed with my olde mouldy bunnet on mate 😂
Take some of the wood out of the water, then use an inflatable boat to investigate the mine further. Easy to pack without investing too much effort to prospect.
Awsome video chris.great gold.love your videos. Been watching yrs now n just keeps getting better n better.
Oh Chris....love this video! I really needed it tonight! I'm legitimately excited for you on this new creek. And......don't EVER be ashamed of your manly man chest hair. 😏 ❤👍✌
I'll try to remember that
No, if you let them slip they make a habit of it and we’ll be seeing them shirtless and in banana hammocks.
Your "friend that comes to visit" is gorgeous!
.. spectacular dust supression......
Now if memory serves that little mixed ball of silvery precious stuff is actually known as Electrum which while not usually being used for anything except refining, does have esoteric healing uses.
My new fav golf channel!
GadZee 🤙😎❤️
Great video 📸 thanks 👍
You do IT so well! New spots keep it being prospecting if ya know what I mean.
Coffee with Eggnog, fresh ground and dripped or espresso will treat you better, much like being on the vien. Looking forward to more awesome VLOG.Happy New Year!
You are hilarious! Keep up the great work and videos. You are always so fun to watch .👍👍
I love stuff like this. I do the same thing when I tour around for work in the US. I sample bits from here and there. I’m never going to get rich but damn it is fun 🤩!!! It’s an Easter egg hunt for gold specs
An adult treasure hunt
Exactly so much fun! I be found a grand total of like 9 grams over the years all over the SE and NW of the US.
Looks a lot like the ground around the Buckland valley. Lots of good holes around there and the valleys over. I found a spot where they’d removed a vein that ran about 150 metres down the side of a hill on the ridge between Wandilligong and Freeburgh. It was probably a metre and a half wide for most of its length. I have some survey maps that I’d marked a bunch of mines on that were not already marked. There are so many shafts and adits around there.
Hey Chris move your crusher closer to the bushes and take that water sprayer and duct tape it or zip tie it to the outlet nozzle on the crusher aiming down at an angle in front of it and that should abate your dust problem ( I don’t have a crusher to try it on but it should work) nice gold looking forward to the trip to the original mine and to another trip to that creek ( unless it’s one you posted already in which case I’ve seen it but didn’t know it ) thanks for sharing see you on the next one 👍🏼👊🏼
Just got back from looking at old hard rock gold mines. found the mines. Got no idea what I'm looking for haha nice work
You should get a heavy duty plastic bag and inlay it into a backpack and backpack it out - far easier on the body!
Thanks Chris for a very good vid. Amazing area you have to work. Gold right away is always a good thing. Way to test brother. Thanks for sharing.😎😎⛏⛏🔥🔥
5:00 😅😅😅
Just wanna say I love your channel, keep up the amazing Hobbie and entertainment
A your momma joke with Fern jowl dangling 😂🤣
Thanks for the laugh
I'm in America and will be moving to Arizona next year. I hope to spend a lot of time looking for tiny amounts of gold too.
I’ve learned to watch your channel after years of Dan Hurds I just can’t get past the goofy intro, and your mining reminds me more of home. You also relate more to me due to a spinal injury, and I am a medically retired law enforcement officer who has papers for a service animal, just looking for the right one like your young lady.
Awesome vid Chris!!
That was a great video. Absolutely love this channel keep up the good work. Happy hunting.
Nice work. 👍🏼
Thanks dude! Not for money! It's the love, obsession, FEVER! Chase, chase
maybe put a burlap sack on your exhaust, it will cut the dust Cheers happy hunting
I have one of those gas crushers and I modified it to use three buckets and a shop vac. I get zero dust from it you might consider doing that.
You're giving me the hard rock bug. Now its time for me to spend money on an RC1 crusher and a furnace. You're a bad influence on me Chris! Not really. I love every second of this hobby.
I believe I've spent a lot of people's money 💰 for them lol
@@VoGusProspecting but it’s fun to watch someone else do the work. 😁
Great video again, Fernie.
Great video mate I’m new to prospecting and I’m buying my first gold pan to try find some in my mates creek which has tons of black sand. Keep up the good work new sub
That was a funny mamas joke lol! 5:10
Good 1 and keep them coming
Cool one. But I have to work and I'll be watching at break time. Thanks again Mate. God bless and please stay safe
great adventure
Thanks Chris for your vids, pretty new to prospecting. Found my first sunbaker specie with the monster on my 3rd go. Just received (today) my panning kit, so have been watching as many vids as i can over the past week.
That's a really cool orb spider. 🙂🕷
I love those guys
Heading out to the river this morning its 26 degrees f and and inch of snow high of 34. Frozen ground to thaw out first by fire... so yeah funnzy
Big fan from Canada
when you spend more than you're getting and enjoying it.. then there is nothing to complain about. I've got well over a grand in equipment and I'm happy with the un-weighable amount I got so far in an area that isn't known for gold.
Next time I head that way I think I will have to spend a day with a pan having a look around.
Chris, not that i question your work ethics, but i think i actually saw sweat on your brow,no kidding, i love 2 watch orher people work, im a great beliver of it .Jolly good show old chap, keep it up.👍👍
Hey Chris, if you ever catch Fern sniffing the air like he did at 11:07 and then begins tucking his tail, he may be smellin' something he's sensing and may involve a bit of fear on his part him not quite understanding what he's sensing, due to tucking his tail like at 11:07. IT COULD'VE BEEN IT MIGHT OF
BEEN A YOWIE OR A DOGMAN MATE❕RUN FOR YOUR LIFE❕😅❤👍
I’m in love with panning again
I’m with you mate it’s about the chase not the money keep going I love watching 👍
Hey Chris ,a hessian screen kept wet with your hose would fix your dust problem
I got gold in my veins too 😂 this is the year for it
Dr gold vein
Every time I want to go out it 🌧 to hahaha!!
i explored Reedy creek today, pretty cool stuff dude.
Not much but fun going out to look for .Right!!!!!
32👍 's up thank you for sharing 🤠
Thank you too
I love the video's you make like this. All that effort just to see what could be. That's prospecting to a T. Just need to make a few more of those silver/gold shot pellets and load up a few shotgun cartridges just in case of a Vampire apocalypse.
No seriously. This was a very interesting prospecting video. Thank you for sharing your adventures and allowing your editing self to include some of your humerus self. Made me laugh out laud, however you spell it.
Cheers and thank you for sharing your adventures Chris
Need to buy a bucket cart, they have them for single buckets
Now that's one text right off of a cleanup
Man, There was a ball mill that went to auction a while ago... would have been perfect for you.. Probably a bit overkill in size, but dam it would have worked
I love your videos. Mostly, cuz of Fern. Just kidding. I don’t have gold anywhere close to me, but i have been metal detecting for years, and I certainly won’t get rich from what I find, but it’s FUN, time well wasted. Thank you and your cast of characters for not only being entertaining, you bring quality information that i tuck away for those times i can can take my gold pan along on my exploration. 😁
Damn didn't know you upgraded to them Lambofeeties
Awesome video
You might call tha ball " Electrum ".
"yeah, I did. It was fun!" The only reason to ever do anything....
Exactly, those who focus on the cash are going to have a bad time
Hook up a home made whirlpool bag less vacuum cleaner to your dust vent.🤣
I really do appreciate the work that goes into these awesome videos Chris, not only are they informative and entertaining...but a damn good laugh too!
Nevermind the haters, they will never be worth the effort you put into trying to even understand the vitriol they spew. Haters gonna hate...
Happy New Year
Same to you
I would be so happy id have a heart attack if I found pieces that large lol. Everything I fine is micro gold. Nonetheless you have taught me so much with your videos and your the reason I successfully find gold. Thanks for everything!
Legend 👍
