Good lord I needed this right now - have been working on my three first videos for a couple of months now, firing up not one but two channels, for the first time, everything planned and laid out, ready to shoot … but last couple of weeks … nothing, going to my workshop HQ, staring into the wall, reloading the youtube homepage hoping for something new to watch instead of starting filming and getting it done … completely dead in the water … and then this video shows up, THANK YOU :) 10/10 - Will watch again :)

@@tomsodyssey The problem is when I'm making UA-cam videos a certain way, I'm not really enjoying the process, it's just a sign that I'm probably doing it wrong. I like the end product, I just don't like the process. The process needs to be fun and enjoyable. I think that is the secret to success.
We lookbup to people like Casey Neistat and Peter McKinnon. When they make videos it looks so fun and we want to do something similar, but we need to be our authentic self.
When I'm struggling trying to find out what I should do next, I often ask myself, what would Casey do or what would Meet Kevin do or what would Graham Stephan do?
I am not procrastinating as much and I am getting stuff done. But I am really looking at doing things a different way so enjoy the process more.

Great video! I loved the editing, the illustrations, and the interview interspersed throughout the video.
My only feedback for you is that the title and the thumbnail are not appealing (at least to me). Your video came up on my feed when it first came out but I never clicked on it because of the thumbnail/title. The only reason I decided to watch it was because you've made changes to the title/thumbnail several times that I thought I would check it out.
I don't have a different title to offer you, I'm sorry. I just know that the title wasn't engaging enough to hook me.

Hey man! You’re probably bang on the issue haha. Let me say, the title & thumbnail game is the hardest part about making videos on the platform. But I’m convinced with feedback like yours and making more and more videos, it should become easier ☺️ Also, thanks a lot for coming over anyway, It means a lot you actually enjoyed the video 😄
If I could ask, what made it not appealing? (Except my face, it tends to have that effect haha). Too dark? To much stuff? ☺️
