WOW. That was awesome. The road trip, the shots, the video, the BBQ, the pink bathroom... While I cannot say I liked every last image, the ones I do like (and there are MANY) are off the charts! You really tell a compelling story, as I feel I was along with you. I am not going to even compare the B&W to the color, its like the A team and the Number 1 team. Different as can be, but at the same level.
I graze a large number of shorter videos all the time, and it is rare that I watch something this long (except for the longer movie reactions). When I see that much run time I stop to think about it as a big chunk and whether to put it off until a more convenient opportunity. Hmmm, that is what I did here...but boy was it rewarding to make the investment. Yeah, go ahead and make those feature films!
It might sound cliche, but that was a real slice of Americana with a healthy side of quaint and for dessert a heaping of goofiness. Loved every moment of it!

I love the provia shots of Bodie, they really came out great! Bodie is one of my favorite places to shoot film. Some of my best pictures were taken there.
Also, I love the look of your Leica with the Canon 50mm lens. The silver on black is a nice combination. I have the same lens on my Canon P, but silver on silver just isn't as cool looking.

I went to Bodhi to shoot photos in 2017 and had a lot more cumulus clouds in the sky, so the lighting was more photogenic for my visit. The lighting looked kind of flat on the day you were there. I'm surprised you didn't shoot more interiors. But I enjoyed your photos and the rest of your road trip.

Honestly I count that as a win.
Also, this reminded me that I need to get some Across II and shoot it at some point, but I'm still being a nerd and am mostly still obsessing over Fuji's slide films lol.
I'm also jealous you got to shoot some Fuji industrial 100... The closest I'll get is Fujicolor 100, and that's just not the same from what I've seen.

Bro, I love these feature length videos in the world of 15 and even 7 minute shorts that deal with the attention span of a 5 year old. Don't even let anyone tell you it's wrong. Your intro is also unnecessarily high in terms of quality for UA-cam. This reminds of an abandoned town called Cracow (literally crack cow 🤣) in my home town of Queensland. i love getting out beyond the road less traveled and exploring what you call "fly over" areas.

There are frame lines in the Mamiya 7 that account for it. I want to 3D print something but the lines inside will have to do lol

Unfortunately that’s not a process one can do at home… there are a few places you can find that can dev and scan

Hi. I love your channel and always have a lot of fun. You can really make me laugh and I really like your photos.
But I have to write it ..... I think that the whole process of taking photos is important, in my opinion everything goes beautiful until the presentation of your work ... Your great photos look terrible on this ... peach pink background ... I managed to realize that this color is characteristic of your channel and you do not want to duplicate the patterns, but the presentation of photos on a neutral background is a must and its absence is simply a mistake that at a decisive moment destroys the reception of really great photos.

I appreciate the love for the channel! And I also appreciate the understanding for why I use the pink/peach… and I totally understand where you are coming from! Part of it comes out of necessity to be slightly different from the normal black or white you see on other channels BUT I should try a neutral color at some point. With a lot of my black and white work I try to make it a little bit more neutral, but I do get that the pink can sway by color images. Anyways. Thanks for the support and if you see a video with a neutral background … just know that was you :)
