For sin 100, I don't know why Jeremy is pulling up the no-kill rule for Batman. Like, I'm aware that's been a thing for several decades prior to this film, but Jeremy also forgets that there are versions of Batman out there that will kill. Not to mention, once Bruce finds out that Joker was the one who killed his parents, he makes it very clear he's out for blood. Homie over the last two weeks I’ve literally watched everyone of your everything wrong with videos at least twice. Love your videos, Homie. Keep up the good work.
2:45 Backing up this point, in the comics it's shown that on occasion Batman and Superman will fill in for each other, like if Clark is off world or Bruce is out of town on business. There is one specific issue showing this, though I can't remember which one. It bounces back and forth between the two and their internal monologue about how different Gotham and Metropolis are. Bruce noted that much of the crime is white collar stuff, while Clark said that even with all his powers there is so much crime in Gotham that even he can't help everyone.
9:20 - Bruce doesn't like most other people on an individual basis, and he's especially skittish around women because of the constant "distraction-in-the-pants" phenomenon. And it's already been well established that he's a recluse. Of course he'd literally try to distance himself from others, if only so he'd have an excuse to not talk to them much. Vicki probably asked HIM out, and he said yes more to be nice to her than anything else.
Being in the audience opening weekend that build up of "pointless credits" (and I guess pointless music) led to one of the biggest pops of the movie when the Bat logo appears.
I always hate when CinemaSins make fun of opening logos. God forbid the company that fronted MILLIONS show their damn golden shield for a few seconds!!!

Anton Furst's set designs, and Burtons aesthetic are what sets this movie so much apart ,and shows whats missing from the Nolan verse. This Gotham is literally another character of its own in this movie. Giving us a comic accurate Gotham City. And it's not so trashy, over the top, strip club , looking as the Shumacher universe. It's one of the best parts of this movie.
The ultimate answer to all of Jeremy's questions about the Joker .....because he's the Joker. Joker doesn't need reason he just does what he does because he can
For Sin 24 I'll give two anecdotes to compliment this. First of all, we might not think about it much now, but back in 1989, there was a lot of gripes from certain fanboys who couldn't picture Micheal Keaton as Batman, precisely because of how his physique didn't match Batman and he seemed more of an ordinary joe. This scene in a way kind of calls those fanboys out by having everybody, including the audience, getting played. Secondly, in the famous American novel The Great Gatsby, one of my favorite moments is how our protagonist Nick Carroway first meets Gatsby. He's attending a party being hosted by Gatsby, and since he has only moved in, he is not entirely familiar with everyone. He is sitting at a table with some other guests and is talking with them about Gatsby and wondering who he is, until the gentlemen sitting next to him goes "Oh, btw I'm Gatsby, nice to meet you!"
@HoustonUchiha the only way you can sin this is by literally looking for actual movie mistakes. Such as not hiding the wires that batman was wearing in a couple of shots. Or maybe a cup was out of place. Lol
4:09 Yes and no. The Burton and Schumacher movies were originally in the same continuity as evidence by Catwoman and Joker being referenced in Batman Forever and the fact they have the same Alfred and Gordon. Hamm’s changing of them was so he could release Batman 89 without people calling foul in the continuity.
I love Art Deco. I wish we would still build stuff in that style. They're one of the main reasons I have so much love for these Batman movies and the animated series.
Their claims at the very start is baffling: two BEST things in Tim Burton Batmans are music AND matte paintings of a very gothic, surreal Gotham city. I think Heath Ledger is a better Joker than Jack Nicholson, BUT with Danny Elfman soundtrack it just feels more like a winter fairytale (ok, that applies more to Batman Returns but still), there's never an actual real modern city reminding me it's just a movie.
Jeremy also doesn't realize that for a long time, the penguin was the batman's main villain. It wasn't until around the time this movie was created that the joker took the stage light.
