Sounds like you cannot go wrong with a PAA Brush. I do not see reason to spend Big Bucks like over $150.00 for any Brush. Living on Retirement money I can swing mega bucks on a Brush. Still think on a Franks G9?

I have had one for roughly 6 months now, and it has become my flagship razor. I personally think its a perfect razor, and is timeless. Its give me the perfect BBS with minimal effort. Your video has encouraged me to go ahead and order the stand, and travel case so I have everything about the razor in my den, for use for the rest of my life. Sounds good….audio and the fragrance that is! I’m surprised to hear the ladies rate this one that high, as I know neither of them are particularly fond of Bay Rum. I agree with you wholeheartedly that Douglas makes the best Bay Rum in the business! I only own the Atomic soap and splash set, but I’ve tried the Classico bar soap and the bay gum shampoo/conditioner puck, as well as numerous samples of the other bay rum flankers, and all are good with some being better than others! For me, the Atomic Bay Rum reminds me very much of Burt’s Bee’s Bay Rum, which I know was Doug’s biggest inspiration for his Bay Rum. The Blue Moon Bay Rum was one of the top three in my “wishlist” for hoping to see released in the year, so I’m definitely going to get a sample with my next PAA order. So was there supposed to be some sort of comparison between the Gillete silver blue and the Gillete platinum? I don’t remember hearing any sort of mention other than you were using one blade with the black and another with the blue - did I miss something? 🤷🏻‍♂️ Anyhow, as always you provide another beautiful location for another great review. Love that location! Great spot for a fragrance like that. I have one shave cream and one of the kaizen bases from A&E and they’re pretty nice. My complaint about A&E is there current availability of aftershave is zilch, for everything I feel like trying with exception of the Maullu set. Anyhow, thanks for another great review. As for your troll problem, I have some great advice, but it’s not UA-cam friendly 😂.

Another fantastic outdoor shave Tobin! When I started out on my wet shaving journey, I actually didn't like bay rum.... UNTIL, I discovered PAA. Now I own every bay rum they offer. I think there is something about not having clove in their bay rum. What's funny is I don't mind clove in cooking, but I think I hate it in bay rum fragrance..... hope that makes sense. Hahaha! Luna barking at the shadows! I totally agree that PAA has the best bay rum out there and ironically it was the first bay rum I ever tried. When you start at the top, it can be disappointing when you try any others, though I do like most bay rums even the ones with clove. In the spirit of competition I'd love to see someone make an attempt at king of the hill, but I don't think anybody has even tried to make the best BR out there. As soon as this was revealed on the calendar, just from the notes I knew this one was going to be great. Bay Gum is a more playful interaction with bay and this one is more serious with more depth. He might be echoing the spruce with citrus playing up their similarities. Moonflower might have a similar scent to morning glory, which is in the same nightshade family. For sure this is on my pick up list, when I get a chance. Have a great weekend bro!

Good lord! There seems to be almost no water at all! That is a similarity between where you are and where I am. We have zero precipitation during winter, which leads to water levels to drop significantly.

I can't get enough of Blue Moon Bay Rum! I keep going into my closet to take a whiff of the shave soap and admire the wicked holo label. I'm addicted! Great shave, in the great outdoors. I love it!

Tobin, great shave as always and Thank you for continuing to share the beauty of Oregon's amazing outdoors🙂 You have to go back and do another shave after the river is at its highest. I am sure it is even more beautiful. Although I love PAAs Bay Rums, I am not sure Blue Moon may be something I like because when you first reviewed Bay Gum way back I knew I wouldn't care for it. Maybe I will order a sample of the Aftershave/Cologne and hope I am wrong😊

🐐 - I got a sample in the B1 Razor I just used it, I can't believe how cheap their soap is for how well it performs. Great outdoor shave as always!
