    Is this the One Can Opener to Rule them all?
    I have been using this can opener for the last few weeks. It's definitely the best one I have used so far. I like that it works easily and looks good on the counter. the small cord means that the counter stays looking a little cleaner.

    Thanks for this I got mine last week and used it today but I didn't hold it down so it didn't
    work and of course didn't read the instructions so..but it really works great.

    No one ever shows a #10 can being opened! You know the bulk beans or string beans in a can that cafeterias open!

    Cord is longer. It’s retractable

      It is on the newer versions. Not on some of the older ones.

    I'm sold! ALmost broken my hand last night trying to use the old handheld twist the handle opener - finally resorted to gripping the handle with a sturdy pair of pliers and did manage to get the can open. But HONESTLY, I'm not opening another can until I get this thing! Thanx for the demo!

      No problem. I used a manual one for years. So happy I got this one.

    The cord length is absolutely terrible. Too short

    • @randomjoe7646
      @randomjoe7646  3 роки тому +2

      One thing I didn't comment at the time because I didn't realize it is that the cord pulls out and pushes back in. So it really does have a good sized cord but you can effectively customize the length to your needs. Actual cord length is around 2.5 feet.

      @@randomjoe7646 i hope that is the case. I tried pulling mine and it felt tight like it might break it. I tired looking up the specs to see if it was retractable but no luck yet.

      @@josephmonrroy1877 With mine it does pull out. I checked out the Q&A on Amazon and all comments for the last 2 years support that it is a retractable cord. Older comments state it is fixed so it's possible that the older model had a fixed cord.

      A moderately mechanically inclined person could put whatever length cord they want on it. Unfortunately, short cords to save money are commonplace now. I remember when a 6' cord was pretty much the standard on anything.

      @@randomjoe7646 no I am looking to purchase one but the two Cuisinart that seem to hold the highest rating on several review sites as the superior product there are several owners complaining about how quickly they died, so I started looking elsewhere.

      @@Observertory I understand. I tend to do a bunch of research on reviews, etc. before I buy as well. For me, I've been very happy so far.

      @@randomjoe7646 What about draining these cans? I drain tuna and veggies wondering if this would be difficult on side cut cans

    • @randomjoe7646
      @randomjoe7646  2 роки тому

      @@mogo6502 You can still use the lid offset to drain, which I do. For Tuna though, I like to push down to drain it and this type doesn't really allow that to work well so I like to use something like this. www.amazon.com/dp/B09J54R41B/ref=sspa_dk_detail_2?pd_rd_i=B09J54R41B&pd_rd_w=i3oEv&pf_rd_p=887084a2-5c34-4113-a4f8-b7947847c308&pd_rd_wg=iT9uU&pf_rd_r=AYVSS7BQD5EBB4HP8Q5W&pd_rd_r=668be481-0e5f-44c3-ac16-0fd5705b0c63&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzQ0JFWlAyWUVMNVRIJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNDY3OTI5UUtLV0FFMTQzQjBVJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTAxNzkyMTQxQldFTkZaM1FUSlNaJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfZGV0YWlsJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ&th=1
