No idea quite what they were saying but I love the sound! Very punk in a way! I will check this out again and look up the lyrics! Does that ring thing make the strings of the bass work a little like a theremin? Just as I typed that, you mentioned it! 😂❤️🎶
They’re doing their first solo tour this month. Got lucky to catch them in Knotfest years ago and their first show in LA a couple years ago, and when they opened for another band last year. Saw them in Japan too. They’re amazing live, you should check out their other songs like Who’s next.
Wow! I couldn’t understand much of what they were singing, so I was lost in the story. It was interesting and full of lots of notes!!! I hope you find out about the ring and how it works. Catch you tomorrow! 🎶 Cyd
Ya idk how to describe it lol I guess i could have said it's like a wammy bar ran though the ring that seems to be ran though a synth. This is the only band I've ever seen use it. Sim mixes a lot of genres together like Maximum. Some of there earlier stuff is very 311 mixed with screaming. This is the one Japanese band I need to see yet lol glad you enjoyed it and ill get you some more soon
Amazing band and amazing Reaction. The Ring is called Hot Hand 3 and it works with a almost every pedal, SIN the bassist is a reaaaaaally underated musician, you should check Gunshots from them, he uses the same "ring" on that one.
Thanks for the suggestion, @othinus!!! We definitely will. So far, we've only covered one "ONE OK ROCK" song, and it was on the slower side. Looking forward to HEAVY!!! ua-cam.com/video/RWYTVmAfEAk/v-deo.htmlsi=hPoqxAcLcH_wOEoB
That ring synth was also used in "who's next". Experimental, but sounds fine.
SiM is an amazing band! I'd love to see you two cover more of their songs!

Awesome, thank you for the compliment and suggestion!! We've GOT to see that ring synth in action again.
for some of their heavier stuff, please check out ONE OK ROCK - 3xxxv5 Take Me To The Top LIVE specifically the one with green haired Taka(vocalist)
