      On June 30th I caught the Wednesday matinee of Follies . I was the first black male to graduate from Livingston high school on my way to marietta college. And from that lodge seat I saw some fantastic things that will linger for the rest of my life.

      This feels as chaotic as Ravel’s La Valse, but shorter and in song. I suppose it gives a new meaning to lover’s waltz.

      I had the same thought about it being inspired by La Valse! I’ve heard it so many times, but that only just occurred to me recently. He always used to say Ravel was one of his favorite composers.
