- predictiveroilive.com/blog/avi... Stephen Woessner, CEO of Predictive ROI interviews Avinash Kaushik, digital marketing evangelist for Google and co-founder of Market Motive.
During this insightful and entertaining video interview from Google headquarters in Mountain View, California, Avinash shares the practical and tactical steps any business owner can apply immediately to increase return on investment while developing deeper relationships with customers.
Stephen asked Avinash why business owners should care about their company's digital marketing versus delegating the responsibility and leadership to their marketing team or a vendor. Avinash told Stephen, "It's because if you care about it - and you understand it - then you will be rich. But if you just dump it on someone else's lap, then you will be poor. That should be incentive enough."
Great show, Avinash! There are few people in the world who can explain that stuff in such a simple and yet such an entertaining world! Please come to Germany to teach all the boring teachers how to present!

Thank you, Mr. Kaushik for your insightful and forward moving digital marketing strategy. Though this interviewed occurred in 2013, it is relevant today, and your predictions for the 18-24 year old age group was spot-on! My daughter is 17-years old and her age group are progressive democrats with digital, empathetic, and social justice mindsets. They are not fooled, in fact their memes reflect the nonsense fed to them, and they are not going to take it! Your words in that senior leadership need to imagine the possibilities that exist and provide the incentives (structure and bonus change needs to happen, of course) to their teams because it is in the teams that the Web is a part of their DNA.
Thank you, Mr. Woessner for your excellent interviewing questions and interactions with Mr. Kaushik, it created a commitment from me to watch the entire video, so your KPI in this area was successful per Mr. Kaushik's one example of many given.
Thank you, both.
Truly,
Zabrina

great sir Mr.Avinash
great interview
I totally agree with Kaushik point of view to reduce the bounce rate. Once we understand what customers are looking for and what they expect from us? Then we can really decrease the bounce rate. Above all we need to clear what we are offering online and who are our targeted customers?
Spot on, Narendra. Avinash Kaushik provides excellent steps any business owner can apply.

wow I've learned a lot!
I am a senior in high school , i will be graduating in a few weeks and i have alot of questions about digital marketing or marketing in general hope you can answer any.
1- How many years will it take to have a degree in marketing ?
2- What country do you suggest i learn on ?! I live in israel and univistities don't have marketing courses i can still do courses in other places but the degree is not as "respected" as a one you get in a uni !
3- What type of marketing is easier to find a job on ?! Normal / digital ? Or are there other types ?!
I specalized in media/communication in highschool we learned some stuff about marketing and i liked the subject !
I want to pick a career for myself but i am not really sure i am still doing researches about diffrent subjects related to the media and stuff !
I know i am not cut out for anything else such as maths or languages .. I find things dealing with media just the right thing for me !
Thanks in advance anyone can answer :)

Makes me sad that the landing page for predictiveroilive is so sad looking and basic. The end of the video made it seems as though we might be able to find more of the interview on the website.. Can't really tell immediately where I'd find that.
Great interview. For bounce rate - what if you operate a single page website for a restaurant? All the info is on one scrollable page. The bounce rate is going to be high as there are no other pages and it simply acts as an information page. Do I ignore bounce rate or does it still provide valuable insight for single page sites?
+Sebastian Wallace Hi, if you have the answer to this very important question you asked, please let us know. Thank you
+sebastian wallace, +rajat madhogariya
My 2 cents here - I think bounce rate should not always be measured by number of pages viewed. For one pager kind of websites, you might think about the time that a visitor spends on the site, the scroll depth (how much the visitors scrolls down - 10%, 30%, or more), and gauge the bounce rate basis these kind of metrics.
Sebastian Wallace Maybe add a booking or order form to the site so the user has a conversion point and won’t bounce
I think that you can create a hit everytime the customer makes scroll or when play a video. Or simply measure the average duration per session.
I know I am late to the party, however, just my deprecated two cents - In single page websites or even informational blogs, the bounce rate would be higher. You never rely on just one dimension or metric. For your one page restaurant site, add a macro goal such as booking a table online, assisted by micro goals such as time spent on the page and scroll depth.
Kyle Law, that's the way he is. He is animated and excitable. You obviously don't understand this dude, or haven't followed him enough if you're complaining about him shouting. That is Avinash at his best!
I really appreciate the idea of reducing the bounce rate by asking the visitor questions like" Why were they here?"Did they find the information etc. but my question is, Won't it be irritating to visitors everytime they visit the webpage ,a pop-up comes? what about the returning visitors? I am a rookie to digital marketing and may be I am asking a dumb question but i really do appreciate an answer.
I'm not an expert by any means, but I believe that's why you tag each visitor to ensure that they go through the right funnel, meaning the right sequence of selling. So, for example, you wouldn't want someone who just visited your website and was offered to sign-up to your newsletter to see that every time he comes to your website. So, you tag him so that offer to sign up shows up every third visit or so.

oh my god this guy is so intense !!! He really wants to crush competition to death!
Tank you Google!
30 mins worth spent!
gotta love that indian guy
But how reliable are the feedback provided by the users?
+Satish R.S.P. It really depends on the feedback system u have.. if u let customers/users to write the feedback they will write bunch of crap assuming they are the real developers, so in my opinion never give them to write something to u instead let them give ratings to ur features and decide how to change those features wch has worst ratings. NEVER LET THEM WRITE TO U..
after you change those features which have the worst ratings apply goldrats theory of constraints i.e. find out the weakest link in whatever your business is about ,after you improve the weakest link check for another weakest link becoz now the weakest link is shifted and the cycle goes on and on . This theory has worked for and transformed many business organization quite drastically

People don't know how marketing influence their life!
Our bounce rate is 0.65%.
I personally really appreciated the helpful thoughts and insights shared by that Google Evangelist. And I really enjoyed watching it. But please... Could he at least just try to control the way he spoke? Shouting out loud is sooo annoying man!!!
Dislike 'couse you should have work on optimizing/balancing the sound!!!
Why does he shout so much?
***** No need to shout.
haha Simon, its common when Indian get exicted
ppl like u can only shout in comment and audience section
This was really amateur talk.
Avinash Kaushik - Trust me you acted too much in-terms of your english accent and the body language. You are good at speaking but your accent and your body moment is too bad that i just paused a video to while watching and start writing this. will skip it later on....!
