Great video!! I’m sailing on a 12 day cruise to Panama in Oct/Nov on the Emerald and I’m actually staying in room E416!!!! Imagine my surprise when I watched your video!! Quite the coincidence so I’ll take this as a good sign. I actually wanted a balcony but the prices were just too high so we settled for a nice unobstructed ocean view room, as you already know very well. Princess just opened up their bidding system and I was able to bid on a balcony room and a premium balcony room. I decided to bid on both because I figured the premium was bigger but I later found out that it’s not. They’re pretty much the same size only difference is the location of the cabin and the view. Also the premium was way more expensive than the standard. Between two of us we would be bidding $700 more for the same exact room just in a different part of the ship. So I decided to withdraw the premium bid and stick to the standard. You seem like a cruise expert so I would really like to know your thoughts on this. What would you do? Thanks in advance and thanks again for the video. You now have a new subscriber.
Nice video ..we’re going on Alaska cruise August 25-September 4..San.Francisco to Alaska ..I book our room in Ruby princess we’re on E617 I’m hoping it’s a same configuration the one you show E416 obstruction view ..
Our 1st cruise was on the Ruby Princess, the Emerald's sister ship. They are so very nice. The regular balcony cabins on the Caribe deck have nice large balconies, more room than I've ever seen on our several Carnival cruises. Thinking a Panamal Canal cruise would be fun on the Emerald!
Booked this room e416 for Great Britain cruise next year. It was very close to cost of inside room but I hope there is not too much noise from elevators nearby but I agree - great upgrade. We usually are off the ship at each port all day so only use room for sleeping. Thanks for the info
Good video. But not sure what the excitement of having a bath tub is! Have you never had or used a bathtub at home...also do you soak yourself in a bathtub every day or simply use it as a shower! Guess each to their own but I could not relate to the excitement of having a bathtub no matter how cold the weather is.
bathroom...how much room from toilet and also standing in shower? Im very tall 6ft5. Can you show more of the bathroom stalls maybe moving forward? thx
Not much room at all, all very close together...you can also wash your hands at the sink while still sitting on the toilet! The shower curtain actually touches the toilet, when it is all the way open...bathrooms are very small.
Exactly opposite sides of the ship but yes, your will have a big window with very little obstruction. The side of the ship you will be on is the same as our video Panama Canal in a balcony. You will see the old locks, the buildings of the new locks and lots of the operation of the locks as you go through. Enjoy..and thanks for watching and letting us know that our video helped you.
What a great video! Thank you. We mostly go for a balcony on Princess... but after watching your video, we have now booked E416 for a Caribbean cruise next year. So great to see the actual cabin before booking... and we were thrilled to find it was still available. Thank you so much! A great upgrade from the inside... and mid ship!
So how was your stay in room E416? Coincidentally I’m also staying in that room when I sail to Panama in Oct. Imagine my surprise when I first watched the video. Hope you had fun and would love to hear (or read) your thoughts. Thanks!!
For the older ships, they have metal doors. I'm not sure about those scheduled to launch in the future. Some decorate their doors, but it is not a THING like it is on Disney ships.
Kendra, I think we just booked the voyage you are referring to for another client. Wow...great rates! You can get started by clicking on our interest form: travefy.com/f/6kw9rqwqzs5ara6ueuznfvwpw89rvver Can't wait to hear from you!
Shower/body gel yes..they used to provide conditioner in the upgraded amenity package for suites and elites. But, we haven't seen that on any ships for awhile now.

We booked room P242 on Emerald Princess. Any information you can provide about this room? Supposedly an unobstructed Ocean View.

Yes...the Caribe deck is the best! If you are looking to book, we can help you with even more tips and tricks. Thanks for watching.

I,ll be in E417 cuising to Panama Canal. Probably similar to E416.

@@BucketListCruiseandTravel Thanks!!!!
Ugh! You never show the shower heads!
Point taken..new videos will include the shower heads!
How much more is the AFT mini suite?
Sure wish I saw this before booking. Booked connecting room without realizing it. Options are very slim now.
Awh..shoot. Keep checking. A cancelation may open up for a better cabin. Next time, make it easy on yourself and give us a call. Have a great trip.

Are the doors metal and do people decorate their cabin doors?

Looking into a Canada cruise on this ship in the fall.

Can't wait to hear from you!
Great review as a single traveler you you gave me all the info I needed for my inside cabin
Timothy, glad to hear the review was helpful. Thanks for watching and let us know if we can help you in the future!
Aren’t there shower gel / shampoo in all cabins?
Shower/body gel yes..they used to provide conditioner in the upgraded amenity package for suites and elites. But, we haven't seen that on any ships for awhile now.
Yes, the Emerald Princess provides this in the showers...BUT is very poor quality and cheap.
We went from premium obstructed balcony to unobstructed premium for about the same price for Feb 5 Mexican Riviera.
Awh.. Mexico! Keep a look out for whales. Especially Cabo and Puerto Vallarta. You will likely see them as you enter or exit port from your balcony.
