I bought one today! Green dial. Beautiful watch!
I have this watch in black. It looks beautiful and it gains about a second per day. I wear it daily and it looks as beautiful as it did a year ago. If you're on the fence I'd say buy one and you'll never look back!
I bought this watch last year and it was awesome. The dial is gradient blueish and it was stunning! I think the black one also look cool, but I am still prefer the blue dial.
I like the shiny bezel. Makes it look rather fancy and somehow helps with low light visibility when angled correctly.
The comfort level in this watch is amazing tried it on at a local retailer and torn between this color and the new black and gold.
great review Chris,Def a quality watch.
Excellent watch, great value and quality. Buy it with the rubber strap. Buy the one he is reviewing, it is the most handsome!
Chris, I just bought a 1000 stainless steel after watching your video. Thanks for the recommendation!
I just bought one on the mesh bracelet. Superb watch for the money!
Great review Mate!
Bought the black face Tissot SeaStar 1000....love it....
Stunning Watch for the price point - I love mine!
yup got mine on a navy blue canvas band from barton im never going back
I have to say after looking at them side by side I found the green dial much more interesting. For some reason they're harder to find (had to special order mine as the retailers here only had the quartz chronograph version with a green dial) but glad I did. Was recently in the Bahamas and something about the color of the water and the sand and the green dial when the watch was submerged just popped and looked magical. The blue is pretty too, but I'd submit you're doing yourself a disservice if you buy one without at least seeing the green in person.
Got it yesterday only and loving it :)
Love my seastar 2000 turquoise dial. It’s a beast 💯
Tissot makes a great piece. This one sure is.
Yea it's a great watch...
I just bought one of these, Question, is the movement accurate if worn daily? Do I need to wind this if I am wearing it every day, or will my wrist movement keep it ticking away ? Thanks for the video!
show me another watch at this price that gives u: 300m. sapphire. date. automatic. 80 hr power reserve. "Swiss quality" (Yes, it's a factor(
Phoibos Great Wall, 500m WR, sapphire glass with anti reflective coating, ETA 2824-2 movement, super luminova lume, all this for around 500$. That's a deal breaker to me, most likely more than Orient.
Chinese copy 150$
@@TheLapenkov Chinese quality...? Hm.....
TISSOT Seastar 2000 Powermatic
600 M , ...
@@TravelTransferKAPLAN No thx. Too big and heavy. Besides, costs significantly more as well.
Yes definitely I will buy this kind of watch.....
I have the gold one with the beautiful black face. An excellent watch, with lots of wow factor.😎
I have this watch in chrono. It's a great looking watch.
Beautiful watch. Does crystal have AR coating? It looks like it reflects a lot of light...
Thank you man
I am getting one soon!
Great video, great watch and unmatched for the price. I have owned 6 Oris watches and love them but this kills the Aquis for value. Would prefer the mesh bracelet or an Aquis bracelet if could fit which it won't. That apart, it's a beauty
Would love this in green dial.
I've just got the green one ,it looks brilliant on my wrist, and for little money
Awesome watch for the money 👍
I am wearing this exact watch right now!!!! And yes, I love it! One of my favorite pieces outside of my Rolex Datejust
Such a great watch! Do you have the blue black dial as well?
@@WatchChris yup, I certainly do. The dial is absolutely stunning! Much better than the other models in the series
This was my first swiss automatic that I bought early in my collection 2 years ago. My collection has since grown exponentially in size and price but I still own this watch, it still looks like it's brand new and I don't think I'll ever let it go due to it being what really got me started off to the races. This is definitely the one to get not the one on a bracelet. For some reason the bracelet version has a super cheap bracelet.
Probably because Tissot knows most buyers would switch to a strap.
Just ordered mine and cant't wait to get it in my hand. It was 500€ and i'm very confident I get good quality for the money.
You will !
Came across u on Reddit. I'm into watches n how they work but i can't talk to anybody i no they all say it's just a watch. Lol but I've actually been in the market for a driver
Hi. I own this exact watch and the Certina ds equivalent with black face and green second. Both are outstanding watches and unbelievable value for money. They are impossible to separate but obviously the Tissot is a lot lighter. I have had many Rolex subs but you can’t go wrong with either of these but not an investment. Watches you enjoy and don’t mind if they get scratched. Regards from Ireland
That has the same beautiful dial colour as my Seastar 2000.
should i get the MAKO V3 300M TI 'BURGUNDY or TISSOT SEASTAR 1000 POWERMATIC 80 or DAYNIGHT MIL T100
The Best watch for money !
Hey , I am hard stuck to choose between two dive watches
1) Tissot seastar 1000 powermatic 80
2) Seiko samurai prospex dark manta ray
I am on a budget here under 750-800 dollars . Also there are very limited options here in india . Can anyone suggest ?
I have a Tag Heuer Carrera with alligator strap and search for a good watch to dive with, this one look very clean make me think about the submariner
whats is the lifespan of that watch if you service it as it should?
Want to follow up on a previous question. I too ordered the exact watch in this review. would the 21mm bracelet that you can get on the black dial version of this exact same watch...also fit this blue dial version reviewed here...I have scoured Google with this question
I wonder that too.. would be the best combo for sure!
Yes, it will fit it with no problem
where can i get the red bezel one in canada its not on tissots website anymore i assume its discontinued
Christopher Ward has a res bezel model
Simular type of watch. Worth a look
Nice review about the watch. It is very nice watch. I bought the same one. But I have a question. In my watch I figure that after one week it got slower with one minute. I did an experiment for one week. During the week it was just in watch winder, which rotate the watch in programmable time. Can somebody tell me if has the same experience with one minute slow? Thank you!
Watch winders are bad for your watch sell it 😎👍
Would’ve bought this over my orient kamasu if this came in 40mm.
I know their price points are quite different but I am having major trouble choosing between this and the Seiko Samuari Save the Ocean....
Big differences:
Tissot, sapphire glass vs hardlex
Tissot, ceramic bezel vs aluminum
Tissot, 80 h power reserve vs 40-41 h
Tissot, 300 m vs 200 m
Tissot, swiss made vs any Asia country (but not Japan)
@@corneliusscipio777 yep, I ended pulling the trigger on the Tissot. Couldn't be happier with my choice.
I wish the 2000 was smaller. I prefer the dial on those.
I can't decide between this and the chronograph version
I would get the automatic because the dial is leas cluttered and you can enjoy it more ... Also the Chrono is quartz so I would go with the automatic... Thanks for the comment. i wouldnt get a chronograph if you plan on swiming with it because if you push others bottons water can get in the crown is the only safe place on it because its a screw down
I going buy a watch, my choice is this watch or the Certina PH200m a difficult choice at the moment.
I'm buying this bad boy
Tissot all the way
Please advise if this watch is a certified dive watch or not and many thanks for the thorough review. Otherwise, this watch is great in all respects.
You want a certified diver at this price point? Try a Tudor or Breitling for 5 times the price is the best your gonna do.
Um... Are those markers disappearing on the bezel. Hard pass for me.
I buy this watch to gift my father
Tôi không hiểu tiếng anh bạn có thể cho tôi biết 5 lí do mua tissot seastar1000 trong phần bình luận ạ, xin cảm ơn bạn nhiều.
I have a rubber strap. Can i replace it with metal strap?
Yes you can but I would have to be from Tissot there are shark mesh bracelets on eBay in 21mm but there aren't a ton of options in 21mm. Thanks for the question. @@zanyzealot thanks!!!
How much does it weigh?
i prefer the gold color
Hey Jason which gold color the two-tone?
How about lume?
Hey Pilus the line is just ok on the Tissot, Seiko has better lume in general.. please consider subscribing to the channel and hitting the like button if you haven't already done so. It's much appreciated and very helpful. Thanks again!!
@@WatchChris so maybe seiko 5 sports is better alternative to this?
4:00 Timetravel!
I think the audio is not coordinated as evident when you speak of the dial
Yes it's something I'm working on there is an issue when I upload on UA-cam ...
I hate the current tissot watch logo/font. They should return to the old one like in the visodate
It's a diving watch, will you be going diving with it?
the only negative about this watch is “it’s a tissot seastar!”
Tissot makes very good watches that are onpar with omaga will a better price.
Negative, not on par not one bit. Omega has its own house movement. Tissot share's the same movement that most if not all less than 1k watches share. Omega is 3 to 6k whereas a Tissot goes for $600, cmon now! Tissot is a good brand, it's nice but it's not even on par with an Omega, not even close!
I can give you one reason why you shouldn't buy this watch: poor quality control!!
I have this watch, and i love it, however: I look at all the details on the dial. My watch had a bezel that didnt match with the indecies on the dial. Date window sat about 1 mm to the left and when you set the date to 26th you could see the "2" on the 27 in the corner of the date window whole time during the day
I like Tissot as a brand, but when you pay 300-600$ for a watch, which for me IS kinda premium you except better quality control.
I sent watch for correction under warranty 2 times, and it finally came out perfect, but as a customer you shouldnt have to do that.
One positive thing however is that they fix the watch fairly quickly (I waited around 1 month every time)
The lume sucks. That’s my only complaint.
I'm not a fan of ceramic inserts.
That would stop me buying this, too blingy for a tool watch unfortunately.
Aren’t there duller ceramic inserts?
I agree I actually have a video that I made of 5 reasons not to buy this watch in my que and that is the number one reason... Besides blingy it's also hard to read which is bad for a tool watch...
@@hugedickerinokripperino5299 not this dial unfortunately just this glossy one...
it would of been a classic, if they put the crown at 9
