How to solve something is wrong with the outlook database issue in mac

1.Open the Containers folder and ctrl+click each of these folders and Move to Trash. Note that some of these folders may not be present.

* com.microsoft.Excel
* com.microsoft.netlib.shipassertprocess
* com.microsoft.Office365ServiceV2
* com.microsoft.Outlook
* com.microsoft.Powerpoint
* com.microsoft.RMS-XPCService
* com.microsoft.Word
* com.microsoft.onenote.mac
2.Click the back arrow to go back to the Library folder and open Group Containers. Ctrl+click each of these folders if present, and Move to Trash.

I'm having this problem, but I'm hesitant to try your method involving deleting the folders "com.microsoft.Excel", "com.microsoft.Powerpoint", etc. in case they affect my Excel and Powerpoint apps. What is a Container, and will deleting those folders affect those apps?

I had a "Group Containers" folder instead of a "Containers" folder. Still don't know if this will work. I tried it already by NOT deleting all MS programs, that failed. Now I'm redoing it.

That is I had NO containers.

The files were present, just not in a container folder. searching Microsoft found them, not com.microsoft ... strange.
