Johnny Russell - Rednecks, White Socks and Blue Ribbon Beer (Grave tribute)

John Bright Russell was born on January 23, 1940 in Morehead Mississippi and sadly passed away in Nashville Tennessee on July 3, 2001.
John Bright Russell is better known as country music singer, and songwriter Johnny Russell.🎶
He went on to become a star of the grand Ole Opry.❤️
A popular country recording artist, with such hits as "Catfish John" and "Rednecks, White Socks and Blue Ribbon Beer."
He is best remembered as the author of "Act Naturally," one of the greatest country-pop crossover songs-a hit for both Buck Owens and the Beatles that sold over twenty million copies.
Porter Wagoner and Dolly Parton had a hit with his song “Making Plans". And George Strait with his song "Let's Fall to Pieces Together"
Also Gene Watson with "Got No Reason to Go Home".
He was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2001, the year of his untimely death.
Johnny Russell is laid to rest at Hendersonville Memorial Gardens in Hendersonville, Tennessee.✝️
