Y’know I think anyone arguing that the long-travel-suspension equipped, body on frame, absurdly capable R1T isn’t a truck is really missing out. @@krispyywombat7382 cybertruck is rated to wade at 32 inches. The cybertruck also has better approach, departure angles and ground clearance and is also tougher on the outside. The thing that was holding it back was the missing offroad mode and diff locks which Tesla released and the previous videos show more in line of what the CT is capable of.
They are good light trucks. The people who want a “real Truck” are farmers like me and most of my family who do lots of towing and all run 1 ton diesels. Or really anyone who tows more than 2000 lbs more than once a year. These are good (albeit very expensive) replacements for someone used to an old s15 or even a newer Colorado or ranger. Typical comment from someone who doesn't understand trucks in an attempt to appear knowledgeable, Rivian has a tiny bed and significantly less payload.
Cybertruck also has a tiny bed. It is very narrow, and the sloping sides greatly limit the bed's usefulness. Tge Rivian also has dedicated soare tire storage. Cybertruck doesn't come with a spare and if you get one, it takes up most of the bed. Of the two, the Rivian is actually far more useful as a truck. Rivian also has a larger frunk with power outlets, and the gear tunnel. And it has the roof rack and over bed rack. Far more versatile.
@@TroySavary cybertruck's bed is quite a bit bigger than what the rivian has. It's slightly narrower at 2 inches, but it's ≈18 inches longer making it great for carrying plywood entirely in the bed, you can't do that with a rivian. Cybertruck also has a convenient and durable powered tonneau cover as well while rivian had to pull that out of production due to reliability issues. While CTs frunk is shorter, it's a good spot for sitting and tailgating and also means shorter overhangs (better approach angles) they also have an ice box under the bed with a drain plug which the rivian doesn't have. Though I do miss the gear tunnel. CT also has roof racks and over the bed rack... Cybertruck also has better towing/payload capacity than the rivian too. And the stainless steel exterior is great for door dings or stuff unexpectedly hitting your body panels. So I'd say the CT is more versatile.
Actually, Out of Spec did a 70 miles test comparison and the CT went further at 304 miles vs Rivian at 289 miles. That's the Rivian 4 wheel drive. The 2 wheel further goes further than the CT, but less quick.
Rivian’s top speed is 112mph, so towards the end of the race when the cybertruck started to pull ahead the driver said he was going 130mph the Rivian won from 0-112 mph 👍
The Rivian is such a beautiful and well engineered truck. Drag racing is not something that is important for a purchase decision for most people. Please bro, Imma be honest, the Cyber truck has too many issues right now. I recommend that if you want a good pickup or offroader that is also fast, just get a Ford F150 Raptor, Toyota Tacoma TRD, Mercedes G Wagon, or a Toyota Land Cruiser. Look at the offroad review of Throttle House for the Land Cruiser in particular. That thing is a beast. The Land Cruiser is also literally a "Tank Killer" (look up the Chad vs Libya war). No other offroader is as metal as that. The Mercedes offers really good luxury. If you want quality of life, it is legendary. It is also super reliable, and the German Military itself uses it. The Ford F150 Raptor and the Toyota Tacoma TRD are what you buy when you want ecstatic fun. You can trust them for smiles all around. Just a recommendation for good choices. Keep an open mind, and you can find gold. Your money though, so you still have the choice on what to buy.

When motoring journalists have no idea what trucks are actually for.
The fisker ocean coming in last
Who has more detent (de-tent)?
So, basically imaginary off-roading for rich people that will almost certainly not take those vehicles off-roading due to the repair costs.
So rich enough to buy but not rich enough to repair?
Right, let's see it with the rivian refresh.
How is the cybertruck lighter than the Rivian? Tesla is incredible.
Concord Dawn?
All of that for a 30 sec. drag race 😮
You needed a Mad Max truck in that race.
Its remarkable that the cybertruck is lighter than the rivian dispite being a stainless steel bullet resistant beast of a truck. The cybertruck is a true testament to Tesla engineering abilities
Cyber truck is my dream
sad dream
@@IGamePlayOnlysuper sad, wow.
My dream is a Volvo XC90 powered by a V12 Rolls Royce engine or a Rolls-Royce Cullinan certificate by Volvo in safety or a Cadillac Escalade certified by Volvo in safety. This alliances for me is the heaven. 🩷🤝🏻🌐

I believe the trucks have a deficient attention rate.
The noise he made at 3:54...wth was even that?
This will be very useful down the high-street getting my bread and milk.
