A truly wonderful interview. Walking into a surf shop in my teenage years and seeing Margo in Green Iguana got me into the sport. Oddly seeing him, Jack Freestone and the Album films got me back into it again 20 years later. A great and humble man, who is a wonderful advocate for surfing and ecology movements. The WSL comments were spot on. The format and locations are dull. It sadly does not represent the best of surfing. Plus current WSL format does not always crown the best competitive surfer of the tour given the ridiculous ‘World Title Showdown.’
