Lyrics
Mr. Crowley, what went on in your head?
Oh Mr. Crowley, did you talk to the dead?
Your lifestyle to me seemed so tragic
With the thrill of it all
You fooled all the people with magic
Yeah, you waited on Satan's call
Mr. Charming, did you think you were pure?
Mr. Alarming, in nocturnal rapport
Uncovering things that were sacred
Manifest on this Earth
Ah, conceived in the eye of a secret
And they scattered the afterbirth
Mr. Crowley, won't you ride my white horse?
Mr. Crowley, it's symbolic of course
Approaching a time that is classic
I hear maiden's call
Approaching a time that is drastic
Standing with their backs to the wall
Was it polemically sent?
I wanna know what you meant
I wanna know
I wanna know what you meant, yeah

That's Randy Rhoades on guitar. Sadly he left us far too soon but he will forever be one of the greatest 🤘
*Rhoads
R.I.P
Q.E.P.D Randy ♥ (r.i.p ♥)
Rhoads
Ozzy Osborne is the singer, he was the original singer from Black Sabbath. The guitar player is Randy Rhodes, one of my guitar influences from my day. He unfortunately passed away in a plane crash about 16 months after this video. I not sure of the time, but it was a true tragedy. A great talent lost.
I forgot about Randy Rhoads! I kept thinking "Nah, that can't be Zakk Wylde! It's too early for that to be Zakk Wylde!" I guess I was right...
@@TubbysExplorationsYT As much as Zakk Wylde looked like Randy, the Bezerker does not play like him. But I like Zakk as well. He is unique.
RANDY RHOADS
This performance was in April ‘81, so it was actually just under a year before he died in March ‘82.
@@potofgoals9660 I knew it was not long. But I am like everyone, hoping for the best.
Aleister Crowley was an English occultist, ceremonial magician, poet, painter, novelist, and mountaineer. He founded the religion of Thelema, identifying himself as the prophet entrusted with guiding humanity into the Æon of Horus in the early 20th century. A prolific writer, he published widely over the course of his life.
He was also the target of the most successful propaganda campaign of all time, after he opposed Mussolini. Much of what Mussolini said about him is believed to this day.
He also called himself the Beast of the book of Revelation
@@thomashargrove2991 There's actually a reason for that. And that reason is his parents, who were religious zealots and told him he was that, the antichrist, and even more...because he was a normal 12 year old.
Didn't mention a word of how your post was relevant. If it was Jimmi Page, fine...
Hes also a complete nutjob which is what this song is alluding too
RIP Randy…. You left us way too soon. One of the best on guitar ever… I was blessed to have seen them live when this was new 🤘🏼🎸
Ozzy Osbourne (singer) was introduced to RANDY RHOADS (guitarist) who helped Ozzy mend his career after getting fired by his band, Black Sabbath. RANDY RHOADS was a guitar teacher and rock star in the making. RR had the patience to help Ozzy write melodies and had the background in classical guitar to create guitar solos that were considered "Neo-Classical Heavy Metal". Sadly, Randy passed about a year after this video was filmed and his original band "Quiet Riot" was the first hard rock/metal act to hit number one, taking MJ off the top spot. If he were alive, there'd a be a long list of people wanting to give him a thank you dinner!
That wouldn’t be a dinner, that’d be an entire feast
Top two best solos of all time in the same song.
Should check out Ozzy’s brand new song…Patient Number 9! The fact he’s in his 70s, not in the best of health, gone through surgery recently and is still releasing banging music just proves what an absolute musical god he is
RIP Randy Rhoads. What a masterclass
Ozzy & Randy are legends.
Randy Rhoads is the best guitarist ive ever heard buddy
It's 4:07 AM, and when you said "Who is equivalent to Ozzy now? Is it Ariana Grande? Justine Bieber?" I laughed so hard I think woke up my neighbor. I swear i cant stop smiling.
Ozzy is the singer. The guitar player is the late, great Randy Rhoads.
RIP 🙏Randy Rhoads you are always going to be missed Master Randy Rhoads 😢 he passed March 19th 1982 at the age of 25 in a plane crash. 😢much love to you and your family 💕Brandi Modrak 💕P.S we need more Randy Rhoads. ❤
Ozzy is the singer and the guitarists is Randy Rhoads, who sadly passed away extremely young (aged 25)
Randy Rhoads is one of the greatest Guitarist of all Time. He’s also one of the biggest influencers in my musical life As a guitar player.
the silent awe during the second solo is literally how i react to it every time
The long hair in that day was a protest against the establishment, who were clean cut, short hair, suit & tie, etc. They were also against the Vietnam war.
Ozzy is the singer. You his name on his shirt. The guitarist is Randy Rhoads (December 6, 1956 - March 19, 1982). Randy was a guitar virtuoso. Unfortunately, he died in a plane crash during a tour a year and a half after this video/song was released.
Ozzy Osbourne was the original singer in the hard rock band Black Sabbath. Ozzy left Black Sabbath and went solo and found people to play in his band. One of those great musicians was Randy.
If you like his voice, you need to check out his duet with Lita Ford. Ozzy Osbourne Lita Ford (Close My Eyes Forever)
Randy rhoads is the sole reason I started to play guitar. Randy Rhoads, Zakk Wylde, and Dime are my favorites.
Randy Rhoads is on guitar. He is one of the few out there that didnt play guitar, he made that guitar Sing. He is one of the best, and still inspires young guitarists to this day with his music. R.I.P. Randy, Sadly is passed away in a plane crash, it's a tragic story. Ozzy did not like planes and took a buss, Randy was in his friends plane and they did a fly by of Ozzy's buss and the wing clipped the buss and the plane crashed into a house, Killing the pilot and Randy. Ozzy was the singer for Black Sabbith before he left and went as a solo artist, hiring Randy on guitar.
You need to react to “Crazy Train” 🤘🏼🎸
That was my first thought !
1) Keyboards are called a synthesizer
2) Ozzy is the singer. He plays no instruments
3) The lead guitarist is Randy Rhodes. One of the best, who passed decades ago
*Rhoads*
@@HocusPocusFocus69 this should be one of those Mandela effect posters side by side. Like Oscar Meyer/ Oscar Mayer. Using tribute album cover.
But he can sure play that harmonica lol
@@andrewmills6259 the Wizard
@@FreeMTrider don’t know who this is but great song though
Man im glad you picked the video with Randy Rhoads on guitar in it! Hes one of the greatest of all time and he sadly died age 25. If he inspires you to play, then he lives on in you!! Ps, check out Crazy Train from this same footage too!!
The four songs with Randy Rhoads were part of the "After Hours" show here in Rochester, NY, and are the best and rare footage of Randy playing. My favorite is his solo on the song "Suicide Solution." Classic Rock! Too bad I missed this show that only had a small group of people in the crowd, so the band used it as a rehearsal.
The band was supposed to be titled "The Blizzard of Ozz" but rumor has it that Ozzy's manager and future wife Sharon Osbourne had Ozzy's name bigger to make it his album, not pleasing the original bassist (Bob Daisley) and Drummer (Lee Kerslake) who were replaced just before this filming with Rudy Sarzo on bass (with Randy in Quiet Riot before Ozzy and back with them when they hit it big with Metal Health album), and Tommy Aldridge on drums (formerly with Black Oak Arkansas).
That polka dot flying v is an icon
I own a replica of Randy's Sandoval Polkadot Flying V with exact leather strap and his White Concorde with exact replica Studded strap. Iconic is right!
Its nice to see someone discover the genius of Randy Rhoads. Pure genius and his techniques are still used today. In many people's books best guitarist ever
The dude in guitar is Randy Rhoads, and unfortunately he died a few months after this performance :(
"Beating up the beat like it owes him money!"💯
too many underestimate the actual singing, vocal ability of Heavy Metal, Hard Rock singers. People should have learned by now, Ozzy, Ronnie James Dio, Ian Gillian of Deep Purple, David Draman of Disturbed, Geoff Tate of Queensryche, Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden, Rob Halford of Judas Priest and so many more, those boys can sing
I get not being into ozzys music but I do find it hilarious that even at your young age you aren’t familiar with him. He is everywhere. Lol. The man is legendary. Can’t understand a word he says when he talks but man when he sings you understand him. He may be Calle the prince of darkness but he is known to be a sweet guy.
"Ya'll need to take him out to dinner today."
I wish man, I wish.
Jojo you should check out the studio version and compare the solos. That will show you just how good Randy really was. I was lucky to see them in 1981 on the tour for this album Blizzard Of Ozz.
Jojo ..OZZY IS A LIVING LEGEND MY BROTHER...DONT GET IT TWISTED 🙌 👏 🔥
Mr Crowley is Edward Alexander Crowley. 1875 - 1947. He was an English occultist, novelist, ceremonial magician, and mountaineer.
Randy didn't leave, he was taken from us in a plane crash. One of the gods of guitar 🎸. A master shredder. RIP Randy still loved and missed.
Haha. Todays version of ozzy- is ozzy. The man is still making records in his 70s! He is a legend in the metal/rock world.
Ozzy is the dude singin bro, that bad little dude shreddin that guritar was in a band called Quiet Riot before joining Ozzy, his name is Randy Rhodes...he died in a light aircraft crash....he was trained in classical music, and is a guitar god...
RHOADS
That the same look I probably had on my face when I first listened to the ozzy tribute album on vinyl. I think it came out in 1987. I was 17 and immediately bought a guitar and took lessons. to this day it’s hard to reproduce his playing technique. He was so well rounded as a player and didn’t care only about shredding. He had some of the greatest phrasing when soloing. What a great loss to the music world. Great to see a younger generation appreciate these guitar greats! I miss the days of songs with rocking guitar solos in every song. Times have changed. All good tho!
Randy was such an amazing musician, RIP.
as soon as the video started, i knew you were going to be blown away by randy's playing.
a million kids were trying to imitate him back in the day.
Your reaction is priceless man. I can relate. Guys like Randy Rhodes and Vivian Cambell are who influenced me to learn how to play guitar when I was 15
*Rhoads*
Glad you got to see and hear one of the best Guitarists ever lived. And you did the most respectful thing and that wasn't to stop the video in the middle of the solo. I see so many music reactions where people stop right in the middle of a solo.. I am like are you crazy? If a person does interrupt say before hand and go back to the beginning of the solo :D But glad you didn't interrupt .. much respect. Rhandy Rhodes was very unique in his style and had quite an back ground playing classical music on guitar before metal.
You should also play the original of this song it will also blow your mind also consider Joe Satriani you’ll love him
“What’s up with their hair?” It was the 80s hun. Crowley as in Alexander Crowley. Yes the man singing is Ozzy. Surprised mr Crowley is your first ozzy song most people’s are “Crazy Train”, “War pigs”, or “Iron man”, which I recommend all of these
Wanna have some real fun?
Pink Floyd “Comfortably numb” live on the PULSE tour!
That song will still be relevant and fresh 100 years from now.
Randy Rhoads was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2021. Randy and Ozzy were writing partners. I went to school in Burbank, CA with his sister and Randy in the 1970s. Ozzy was in Black Sabbath. Randy was in Quiet Riot. When Oz went solo, Dana Strum introduced Randy to Oz. Randy crossed over way too early. 40 years ago. He was planning on going back to school to study classical guitar. Listen to "Crazy Train" and the recording of Randy's induction into the 2021 R & R Hall of Fame.
This is Randy Rhoads, forever in we hearts 🎸❤🤘👏
Loved your reaction, the song is amazing. The guitar player is Randy Rhoads, he had classical influence and combined with metal, the solos are just perfection. Sadly the man died in a Plane crash only a year and a half after this song. He made such a big impact in such a short time, still my all time favourite Guitar player. The vocalist was Ozzy btw, he is a legendary frontman. It's fun to see how fans of other genres react to metal, respect to anyone if they know that the rock/metal genre has a lot of work in them and aren't just screaming and crap. It's alright not to like it, but a lot of people just don't understand how many emotions go into producing music like this, especially with people like Randy and Ozzy. That was a fun reaction, you do well man.
Randy Rhodes was a beast. May he rest in peace
I didn't even know reaction videos were a thing until I accidentally stumbled upon one of yours. You're open-minded and honest approach to music and the diverse genres is truly refreshing. Love it when you get down to metal songs 😜
Your*
The Main squeeze is modern and they've got crazy solos.
Randy Rhoads. He was one of the best guitarists in the world.
GUITAR GOD ...LOST WAY TO SOON... FUCKIN LEGEND S
The ONE AND ONLY Randy Rhoads. Words fail me Randy...everytime. The best a guitar and amp can sound....and then some.
I’m sure you’ve heard ozzy before. He is like queen. People just don’t realize they’ve heard them before.
Yep. Stunned silence, eyes wide, mouth agape. The same as all guitar fans the first time they heard Randy Rhoads play.
It's said that Randy Rhoads was a music teacher, he had the patients for Ozzy's craziness. It was really hard for Ozzy when Randy died. Randy Rhoads died young at the age of 25, and is still considered among the best guitarists.
JoJo...hope your doing well and what your listening to here is the GOAT of metal guitarists...no cap❗️❗️
People who play guitar,Sing Really Well ,Dance, Draw, Paint write Poetry, MAKE IT Look so EFFORTLESS.
Randy Rhoads,Ozzy Osbourne's Guitarist TRULY WAS No Exception to This RULE.
He knows. I bet he’s a college music major and studies all music. This is a music statement where he’s actually talking to today’s generation.
My favourite Ozzy song! Randy Rhoads was a genius. Mr Crowley was a British occultist and said to be ‘the most evil man alive’
People can clown on Ozzy all they want, but he stood next to Randy and his eyes were fucking GLUED to him during those solos. Ozzy knows what's good and what's up.
There is no “todays version of Ozzy Osbourne” my friend. Nor will there be tomorrow. He is the one and only
That man on guitar is the late , great Randy Rhodes .
It hurts me that he thought the guitar player was Ozzy
Read the background about Aleister Crowley (Mr. Crowley) if you want a wild story. Simplified, he was a magician (like believed in real magic) and occultist. His whole biography is insane.
I know this a year ago... Randy Rhoads the guitarist died in a plane crash March 19th 1982. Randy's solos were compositions within a composition.
Grew up with Ozzy . Grew up in the 1960s & 1970s . We had a lot of good bands bad then .
Love it!!! its so awesome when young people discover the music we grew up with in the 80's. theres so much great music out there!
I discovered Ozzie when he was with Black Sabbath, and loved the band as a whole. But when he moved on and Randy Rhoads became his guitar player, that’s why I continue to listen. Such a virtuoso seamless brilliant musician!! I was in complete awe of him and just like Jimi Hendrix, it breaks my heart to imagine what he would’ve accomplished and created in the rest of his artistic life if he lived past 25 and Jimi, 27. RIP great ones
It was pretty clear that Randy was going to leave Ozzy after his contractual obligation with the Black Sabbath Live album, "Speak of the Devil" (Night Ranger's Brad Gillis wound up doing that guitar work before going back to Night Ranger when they made it big) and going to UCLA to get his degree in Classical Guitar. Who knows if he would have returned with Quiet Riot or done other amazing works!
Ozzy is the singer, he was originally in a band called Black Sabbath, which was the band that basically invented heavy metal. Ozzy was kicked out of Black sabbath for heavy drinking and drug use. The guitarist is Randy Rhodes, and he was in a band called Quiet Riot, which found success after Rhodes left the band. Originally Ozzy's managers wanted an all English band, so they asked him to get rid of Rhodes (without ever hearing him play) because Rhodes was from Los Angelos. Ozzy refused and he recorded two albums with Randy Rhodes before he tragically died in a plane crash. Randy Rhodes was only 25 at the time.
Good reaction. I'm glad you were blown away by Randy. You definitely should be... thanks for the reaction......
Mama I'm Coming Home... great Ozzy tune.
Thanks for entertaining us all
Ozzie Osbourne is the singer. The guitarist is Randy Rhoads. You can't take Randy out for dinner. Sadly, he was killed in a plane crash back in the 80's, when he was just 25.
The best part is you hugging the guitar 🎸 like a Monkey hugging a coconut 😂😂😂
For some reason RANDY RHOADS achieved the highest levels in guitar playing and composition. It's incredible what he did on the two OZZY albums. RIP guitar god
Your reaction is priceless, respect!
Ozzy is the singer and he put out an album in 2020 also, including a duet with Elton John, check it out.
This song is written about Alestair Crowley, who was a well known occultist and founded his own religion and was a heavy recreational drug user and was best known in 1960's counter culture for these things.
Ozzy Osborne is the godfather of Rock and roll
This video was filmed on April 26, 1981, and aired on May 8th. Less than a year later on March 19, 1982, Randy Rhoads would be killed in a plane crash in Leesburg, FL (outside Orlando). He was 25. Last year, Randy was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. May he rest in peace.
Ozzy is the singer who also sang for Black Sabbath. Check out War Pigs by Black Sabbath live in Paris 1970.
You could take Randy out to dinner, but you'd need two things. A ouija board and... Mr. Crowly. RIP RR
9:22 - That stunned look on your face, listening to Randy Rhoads. We get it.
I like that Randy Rhodes solo was so instantly captivating that it compelled him to just shut the fuck up and listen. Reminded me of the first time I heard this back in '82.
RHOADS
Randy’s from where I grew up in the Inland Empire in So Cal….Absolute legend and my Fav musician all time. He died like not even a year later from that recording….too young….Man he had so much we could have been Wow’d by….kills me to think about. 🤘🏻✌️
Ozzy is the singer, that is Randy Rhoads on guitar. Ozzy wasn't a guitarist. Ozzy also used to be the singer of Black Sabbath. Randy Rhoads died in a plane crash at the age of 25.
“that must be ozzy!” killed me 💀💀
How long has he been doing reactions now? And he's still never read a single comment, so next time he's reacting to Ozzy, he still won't know who he is🤣🤣🤣 He's even wearing a t-shirt with his name on in massive letters and JoJo's looking at him saying "I still don't know who Ozzy is"...genius!
randy unfortunately passed away in leesburg florida at jerry calhouns house and private airstrip where they were flying and buzzing the bus when they clipped a tree and flipped into the house and the plane exploded.😢
🔥🔥 oh yeah.. everyone has set you straight on who's who, the fact that OZZY is a living legend and that Mr Randy Rhoads was one of the greatest guitarist ever.. RIP.. so I will just say great song.. even though its about reportedly a very evil man.. that is some beautiful guitar playing..not to mention the skill.. here are two questions for all .. how many of ya had/have The Randy Rhoads Tribute album? Did you listen to it non stop like forever? Yeah me to.. I still jam to it.. when I'm in the mood for Ozzy more than likely that wil be the one chosen.. nothin but great songs played to perfection and live... oh and dont forget the studio work with Mr Rhoads by himself.. that composition is art.. behold the beauty
*Rhoads*
@@HocusPocusFocus69 oh man.. my bad.. thanx.. I corrected them
When Tribute was released in 1987 (five years after Randy's death), I got the cassette at the Ft. Riley, Kansas PX and listened to it constantly! Wore it out!
@@garycp70 cool.. the good old days. Btw my 1st copy was a cassette also.. that being said.. lol .. we are getting old.. 52 here
Once you get some callouses on your fingers it’s a lot easier to play. You will go through some pain, but you know what they say “no pain, no gain” 👵🏼☮️💙
Ozzy is the one wearing the shirt with "OZZY" in glitter across the front.
Ozzy was the lead singer for Black Sabbath. He went out as Ozzy Osborne after the break up of the Mighty Black Sabbath.
Sabbath didn't break up, they carried on with Dio singing.
I genuinely feel sorry for kids these days. They’ve grown up with the hyper-sanitised & ultra-managed music world, and don’t know that BITD some folks - like Randy - were genius musicians who’d not only put in the hours, but strived to be *even better*. Each song was masterfully crafted (by hand), every musician had their own spotlight moment - and like here with Ozzy, he was in awe of the talent. That doesn’t exist today as far as I can see. The “feeling” and emotion came through more in the live performances than in the recording - and us fans knew that. We’d buy the album and go “fuuuu-can’t wait to see them do this at the next concert”. It was “real” music - driven by talent & the heart of the guys who’d put it together. Us fans were as much a part of that equation as anything - the bands made songs for us to go mad for, and we gave our thanks back (or not) at concerts. No slick videos that cut every second, no team monitoring social media etc - this was back in the time when the music had to stand on its own two feet.
Beating up the beat like it owes him money 🤣🤣 good one jojo
Unfortunately, Randy had his last meal in 1982. Very tragic story of a small Vespa plane owned by the MGR whom had been up all night on Coke along with whatever else possibly. Hed offered Randy and I believe a girl. He swooped dangerously over Ozzy and his wife's tour bus to mess with them, but the third pass and a foot too close that clipped the top of the bus, sheered off the landing gear then toppled and cartwheeled into a tree and fireball. Ozzy and Sharon came out just in time too see it explode and all 3 burned. You can read details on Randy Rhoades wiki.
Great song. Saw Ozzy a couple yrs before. He is the singer
So digging this. Randy ripped.
I'm a new follower and absolutely think your reactions are spot on and respectful.
Have you listened to Megadeth-Symhony of Destruction or Peace Sells?
How can you not know ozzy?? I know other musicians from other music hmm and i love rock and metal
Amazing, doesn't know the difference between Randy and Ozzy, LoL 😂😂
We do have solos today like that or just as insane
