The music in the intro is done by Fender Custom Shop's Mike Eldred, who is also the narrator of the intro. He's a great player. Check out his band, The Mike Eldred Trio.
Wow! This is cool, especially if Fender brings this bridge into the market so players can purchase bridges at a "reasonable " price verses paying almost $200 for one from a company in Minneapolis who's name we won't mention because the owner is a temperamental elitist and might go off on someone.
You must make a cover for that nice curvey bridge, some serious musicians use then for recording , it helps cut noise and gives you more tone options....and ...they look cool!
Hi, what is the recommended bridge pickup height setting in /64 inch for a woody sounding telecaster sounding guitar ? Not harsh or so trebbly .... I have hot vintage pickups on mine...thanks a lot for your helps, best regards from France, Gaëtan
I think he means a new, set of guitar strings from a decent brand, and modest gauge (8's 9's 10's or 11's) as apposed to used, vintage, or other instrument strings. A set of D'Addario or Ernie Ball 10's will probably work best
The reason not to make a six saddle version is that three sounds better and works better. Leave this to the pros people. It is called research and development for a reason.
While Fender is busy trying to reinvent the wheel, thinking about "the good ole days" other companies especially PRS are gaining more market share by the minute.
Please design a bridge that can be retrofitted into a Fender Jaguar - i.e. available as a separate item. Fender are still selling new Jaguarswith that awful original bridge! It is completely unsuitable for gigging unless the owner modifies or replaces. I replaced mine after 1 gig and that was on a brand new american made Jaguar. Rather than tweaking Tele's and Strat's I would have thought Jaguar/Jazzmaster would be top of the list for the special division to fix!
The big question (aside from when this bridge will be made available to people NOT having a guitar built n the Custom Shop) is, are the height adjustment screws smaller in diameter than those found on the old Fender 3-barrel brass bridges like so many after market Tele bridges are (Wilkinson for instance). Those smaller screws just kill the mids, and the brass saddles end up sounding like steel. I dearly hope Fender is still using the thicker screws.
Well done, cannot believe that Fender themselves dont understand the value of the "Ashtray". He just brushed off all those years of Early Fender R+D...apart from helping keep noise down and also giving s player another tonal option the guitar just doesnt look right without it . The ashtray is where its at.
@@runnningonempty I thought that also and I had a real 1953 model which I swapped for a Gibson.....but when I heard a 1 pickuo Esquire played through an Valve combo loud it made me yearn for another try. Now I play the Esquire 90% of the time. You must keep an open mind and ear.
I really want an RSD Jazzmaster bridge for my Jaguar. Everyone thinks those are cool. Fenders missing out, there’s money to be made here.
Absolutely love mine. Leo, Tavares and Fullerton would of been proud of this no doubt!
I just put new brass comp saddles on my Tele and now I want those saddles like ASAP!
Awesome bridge.
3:19 - Safety first! ;)
So much work to produce this by hand.
Nice Work !

It would have been nice to see it up close for a little longer.

Western suburbs??
Because with three saddles there is more pressure to each screw, ultimately reducing the chance of rattling and also, sounds more like a vintage tele.
They make them now with three-string saddles too, which gives them even more downward pressure!!
so..whats the difference to a regular three saddle bridge? just intonates better?
Where do you get them?I can't find any place online that has any of these.
Guitar center.

i thought Abby retired? did she come back to the CS. and when is that bridge going to be avable i got a MIM Tele that needs one?
Trev Wilkenson is years ahead of this!
looking good!
OSHA bait 3:19.
dantheman7624 Abby goes to my church! And i showed her my Tele!

are these for sale yet?
Cool.
remember, the sky is the limit
Question; why not play with the bridge covered with that lid? Nice to rest the hand and looks clean. Mind you, I do not own a Tele.
hiberNative Prevents effective palm muting and obstructs picking closer to the bridge.
You can't palm mute if you do that and it severely limits your technique
Well done for noticing that. All that R+D and no bridge cover? Albert Collins wouldnt play without that ashtray in his guitars.
Leo Fender would have been horrified at all the extra handwork that went into that bridge.
It's machine made dude - no handwork hardly that I see...
I like 'em!...

Where do I get one...and how much?..
so its a modified compensated bridge?
Hi there Fender! How can I get a Telecaster Deluxe 72 arm?
Will that RSD bridge work on my American Special?
what`s the music in the intro?
Tin Pan Ally :)

Build a bridge that a STRAT pickup could be put into if one wanted to.
Come on, he's the guy that they look to when Eddie Van Halen needs something built that has never been done before. I think that deems him uber.
Because three saddles sounds more like a vintage Tele.
Why not just make a 6 saddle version?

Because G&L already did.
Lol a halved can of dr pepper to hold his brush and shine
anyone feels like a dr pepper?

Try AANJ bolt construction dammit. Then I may purchase a Fender. Oh, don't overprice your guitars.
What the hell do you mean by "A normal set of guitar strings?" Because what's normal for me, isn't normal for someone else.
Maybe...like what? What really beats "Uber"?
She did retire. She is not coming back to the CS.
It probably has six saddles.
No ashtray? No thx

Whatever happened with this?
This is just marketing bullshit. They don't want to do anything really new.
TELECASTER IS A HORRIBLE MODEL GUITAR
I used ti think that too...Then I grew up, now I own two.
