  • There are times when contact with Mother Earth is absolutely necessary in the traditional teachings of our Diné.
In this week’s video Navajo Historian, Wally Brown, teaches about some of these times.
Today people talk about “Grounding”. In the traditional teachings our people have been grounding for hundreds of years.
To this day it is still an important part of certain ceremonies.

He is, but its not the whole truth. Sunlight on skin and eyes is even more important. The water you ingest and structure by exposure to sunlight is more important. Grounding is next, on par with cold exposure to make your biological circuitry run efficiently and optimal .
Because you are neither hot (sunlight exposure) nor cold (cold exposure that forces your DNA to turn on the internal warmers), I will spew you from my mouth, which is the nurture of the Great Physician.
The entire world has been spewed from that mouth. For all have sinned by falling short of the glory of the incorruptible God, which is the light and night of the sun of righteousness. The world has chosen the corrupted image of man, darkness; which is simply the opposite of sunlit days and dark nights. Isaiah 5:20 declares woes to those who bring dark to their days and light to their nights.

Grounding is true healing, we are intentionally being led astray from true health practices, by Governments and Corporations who use human ignorance to their advantage. May we all connect with spirit through grounding and find the inner peace we need to heal the Earth together.

There’s a place called Little grand Canyon at Murphysboro Illinois where I’m from. One time when me and my kids were little we went off trail exploring and it was summertime hot we had no water and got turned around I saw a feather on the ground and I knew to follow it it lead to another feather that one took us straight back to the trail forever grateful for the native spirit that day I’m pretty for sure it was a child spirit in the woods that helped us🙂

Rubber soles insulate us from Mother Earth.
Her electricity is important to our health and we must connect with her as much as possible.
If we haven't connected with Mother Earth for quite awhile...
We will be amazed by how good we feel when we allow ourselves to connect again.
The afterglow lasts a long time after we have put our rubber soles back on and go about our daily lives.
We will crave this connection once we have allowed ourselves to reconnect...
    So...Let ourselves reconnect.
    We are worthy and deserved.

My great great grandpa was a full Iroquois native. My mom was a country girl and told me I should go barefoot when I can so I don't end up as a tenderfoot, I feel like that teaching was passed on to her by her mom who must have learned it from her grandpa. I rarely wear shoes and teachings like this video helps me understand why I must naturally prefer to go barefoot.

I love listening to this man tyvm for sharing all of these teachings w us. Such important info that needs to be heard. Esp w the issues of not being able to translate most writings anymore bc ppl were not taught outside each tribe and each tribe using diff symbols etc. My friend that passed at 14 came to me in my dream one night and he drew a symbol in the sand and told me to let his mother and sister know hes ok. We were at a playground w sand all around and he drew it w a stick. When I woke up first I searched for what the symbol was then put the entire dream on my fb pg bc I didnt want to lose it or any detail. At 14 I was 15 and he was super depressed I didnt want to leave him but I had to go to class for a test and couldnt miss it I asked him to meet me after school in a certain spot I waited n waited but he never came this was a fri. Then on sat or s un n my grandmother came by and asked did u hear about ur little friend (he lived w his grandmother next to my cousins house) I said no why and that's when I learned he took his own life. I was c ok completely devestated but every yr around that time in june I would dream about him. I havent had the dream w him now since that one I described I cant even get a photo of him. We had a house fire soninlostnny only one I had. I blamed myself 4 yrs bc I went n took that damn test. I stayed out of gym class for 1.5 hrs to sit with him talking I thought he was ok after that. I never expected him to do what he did. He was native American but I cant rem which I just know it's one that traces way way way back I used to know but I cant rem these days I just turned 52 n I was only 13 then. I just wish I could have changed things 4 him. God bless all but plz rem for some reason the rates of what he did are higher in native Americans there needs to be more help for anyone struggling w that. That's why I tell ppl they can contact me any time day or night If they need a chat

Love this! Thank you ♥️ “Earthing” by Clinton Ober, Stephen Sinatra MD and Martin Zucker is a phenomenal book cram packed full of facts and scientific proof of how grounding effects the body, for eg blood flow after 30 minutes grounding shows huge effects ... less clumping, better flow etc. Every cell is effected in the body as the anti inflammatory effect is amazing, so less pain wherever it may be and whatever form. There’s masses of testimonials for every condition. Leather soles allow grounding and now adays for those who want the benefits but live in a high rise can use grounding sheets, pads,, clothing. Brilliant for anyone exposed to electromagnetic frequencies ... we are electric magnetic beings after all!

Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful knowledge. My Mexican family had all this taken away by the Europeans who came and ethnically cleansed us or killed us. They tried to take away what was ours but my DNA doesn't lie 19 percent will always be native American. Thank you for your teachings, wise one.🌞

I’m primarily of European & Jewish descent but I’m in the American Indian Movement Detroit Chapter as the colors of the flag are Red Yellow Black & White. I have found my purpose within the movement. Also, I do recognize the importance of grounding.

I'm glad you are sharing all this with the world. My people are from lower Texas (Mestizos). Everything has been lost. Our identity has been stolen. I listen to your videos hoping all the people of this land shared similar beliefs. And, I can heal somewhat.

That's why many times when I see my daughter out in the morning barefoot, I never say anything to her, on the contrary, that is my aim, that she should have contact with our mother earth. For my part, every time I have negative thoughts or feel bad, I go outside and put my hands on the earth for a while to discharge bad energy. My wife started to do it and she says that every time she does it she feels much better.
    Thank you for your teachings

Thlemlemc Wally, I am very honored to watch and learn from you 🙏, all of my tupyas are gone now and have no one to learn from whom practice our good way. So I listen to you, the Dene' teachings are very similar to our inland Flathead and Bitterroot Salish teachings I have found, and you're ways of communicating this reminds me much of my smaamaye, my fathers uncle ❤💙. Again Thlemlemc, Thank you 😊.
    Respectfully, Scheathlmen-Sage brush Buttercup,AV
