      Not at all… Put it in a moisture proof container and check it once a day. I don’t always have time to beg it for longer term storage so I find it convenient.

    Freeze drying is faster and easiest way to store food for either long-term ( several years) or short-term ( several months).
    Using the scale is the best for either Freeze drying or dehydrating .
    Freeze drying is more nutrition and it cannot be over dried,
    Dehydrated foods will scorch if left to long.
