Good editing job. You gave us enough each time so that we knew what was going on. So many others will just show the umpire throwing the player out and not much else.
The bias shown by some announcers is unbelievable. "He did nothing in the last two seconds to get thrown out."....the whole time the player is screaming at the umpires in a rage.
The Nationals ejection (Nolan) at 6:55-ish is pretty ridiculous. It was obvious he threw at the batter, after having thrown behind him on the previous pitch. Why do all four umpires have to meet and have a consensus before Nolan got tossed?? The home plate umpire - alone - should have been able to easily ascertain that Nolan was throwing at the batter, and acted accordingly.
@@storyofcory Close Call has said they changed the policy such that all such situations are conferred upon before the ejection takes place. Humble is correct.
I love watching these and watching the biased commentary when they say “man he didn’t do nothing to get ejected there.” Like he probably didn’t just yell explicatives at the umpire
Why give them endless time to challenge? They have someone watching the game in a review room 20 seconds is enough time to pick up a phone and say we want to challenge to the manager and the manager to tell the umpire.
Kiermaier picked up a card left on the field by the Blue Jays catcher that had scouting reports on the Tampa hitters. He kept it and said he thought it was his. The next night he bought one in the ribs.
I love how umpires screw up, make bad calls, can't call a consistent strike zone, straight up get overturned multiple times in a game, all it hurts is the players, and the fans. They keep their jobs!? There is no other job I have ever seen where you can be that wrong all the time and keep your job. Police are expected to make split second decisions and it is life and death, these morons get to make or break careers, MILLIONS of dollars and face nothing...let's go to computer calls.
The cardinals one with the infield fly is obvious why the umpire called time. He caused the runner to walk off the base because he said out. He must have not heard the infield fly being called. And yes it is a fuck up and he explains exactly why he called time. It would have been completely different if he called him safe and runner walked off the base. You cant reward the defense for something that caused a runner to do something he normally wouldn't do. It's kind of an umpire interference I guess in this case.
I don't expect a reply considering we're basically at the midpoint of this season(2022). But I don't understand why the runner at third was called out. I thought when infield fly is called that the defense has to physically tag the runner for the out.
@@ryanjustice2670 the runner on third wasn't called out. The third base umpire had his hand in the air pointing at the sky which was the infield fly call. I didn't watch the game. Only going by the information that is presented in the clip. After the call it might have been second and third with two outs or they put the two runners back first and second with the batter being out. But because this is only ejections idk if they other team argued why their runners were put back bases or it is assumed they kept second in third. With all that being said.. yes you would have to tag the advancing runners on a dropped infield fly. As the force is removed from the batter being called out.
@@bryanm255 First of all, WOW! I mean like, freakin WOW for you responding to my comment. And also, I did have the thought that the broadcasters and the graphics were both behind the 8Ball, so to speak.
Shildt is right. No need to call time. Infield fly, first out, runners advance at own risk on ball hitting the ground. Runner was tag out by secondbaseman after going past the bag. Runner on third is safe as thirrdbaseman threw the ball to secondbase and did not tag runner coming into thirdbase. Umpires screw up by calling time. These umpires are a joke. They do this for a ,living and are not good at their job. Cardinal Manager should not have been ejected,
The electronic box is always there, why are we allowing umpires to rule and ruin the game???? Why do they feel they should be beyond reproach. 400 different strike zones, why??? This kills the offense in the game, and you could put an end to arguing balls and strikes, making the game move along quicker, while not loosing your favorite ball play over some BS strike or ball call.

If people realized it was a human effort in the game it wouldn't happen
Why? It’s bad!
@@nathanvanek6479 It’s so funny when the players and managers go nuts. 😂
The next ejection should go to whoever designed those Cubs uniforms.

Also, man Manny Gonzalez (spelling?) racked up some ejections didn't he? :O
2023 Ejections please july August and September please 😊
I would like to experience being a Club manager just to feel the adrenaline of being thrown out of a game for standing up for my players.

91 lifetime ejections...
Tony on something.
Does minimum like one person per game get ejected in this sport?
October ejections coming?
I was at this one in September 2021! 0:00
Thanks for blowing out my eardrum
All I have seen is home town commentators agreeing with the umpires decisions.

@@63076topher I agreed!
Always felt like a really lame rule when a guy twists his body around trying to dodge a pitch and he gets called for a swing

Well, this is why Umpires SHOULD BE BANNED FROM BETTING IN THEIR RESPECTIVE SPORTS!
They should remember but they don’t. Throwing your helmet or bat to the ground is considered arguing balls and strikes.
