Run N Gun weird. I just checked again using my phone. I can hear the noise with my headphones but not on loudspeaker. It’s a very low (as in frequency) hum.
I just listened to it with some Beats headphones and heard it. As much as I don’t want to, I may have to use those to monitor my audio now. Haha- I still don’t know what caused it though.

Is there a tutorial series or online class or something that you would recommend for someone who wants to learn more about this? I’ve got the free version of Da Vinci Resolve, and I know the basics of how to use the timeline and chop up clips, etc...but as far as image processing and effects and color grading, I am totally clueless 🤷♂️😢

You’re absolutely right! I was working on an 8 bit Photoshop canvas and a 16 bpc Composition in After Effects. Slightly different settings will yield a little different results. It’s always good to work at the highest quality possible for the best color.

Consider making videos for Affinity Photo. I will definitely subscribe. Also there are far fewer UA-cam Channels for Affinity Designer, Photo and Publisher, so your exposure would be greater.

Hey Hawker, thanks for the question! It has to do with the bit depth of the LUT. There's no 2D LUTs, only 1D and 3D. 3D LUTS have the most data for converting more accurately as I understand it.

as an example i compare both interms of their working. just like an equalizer deals with certain audio frequency. luts work to change colour spectrum just like an equalizer preset.
Please correct that buzzing on your mic or room, if its the mic its either your wire is bad or your mic or interface could have faulty parts, if its your room you should really turn off whatever is imitting that noise just for when you film and record. Try adding the NS1 Plugin by Waves to clear up Low Background Noise as such for post and pre production. Bonus Tip Throw the NS1 right at the top of your Voice EFXs Chain and bring up to around 85 , this where I normally leave it at so it sounds natural but isn't sounding weird at the same time hope it helps !!!
I have a moderate background in photography and am just getting into color grading of my drone footage. In order to get an accurate "Golden Hour" color LUT, can I take a large grey card and expose it in natural "Golden Hour " light and then create a lut from it? Thanks
Hey Norman! If you take a properly white balanced picture at golden hour, you could theoretically edit it and create either a LUT or Preset based on that edit.
Nice video, but it could use some audio processing. After the cut at 1:59, an audio hum starts. When you cut again at 2:45, the hum amplifies to an obnoxious level. It is low enough in tone that it just rumbles my bass speaker the whole time.

I had multiple LUTs hosted on my G-Drive a year ago, but with a few thousand people downloading it everyday, a lot of people were having issues. My new site will likely be up in about a week.

He is a video guy not an audio guy. The room acoustics are not ideal. Some acoustical absorption panels should help.
