Pretty cool detail: The reason this War suit looks lighter, less armored, can take less damage,the helmet can retract now. Is because this is a completely different suit from his old one that Clark destroyed. The first one was made by luthorcorp and extremely outfitted to fight Superman,Where this was just built using the design of the old one and built by John irons alone.

I'm someone who has been pretty disappointed with all of the more recent films from Superman Returns through the Snyder trilogy. This show, though, is the Superman I've been waiting for. As far as I'm concerned it's the best live action interpretation of the character since Reeve.

Fun fact the reason this Warsuit looks bit different is because it’s a new model of the original that got destroyed in episode 2. Hence the retractable helmet, lighter armor, more mobile, added weapons
Wow! Finally a show that "gets" what Superman is all about and almost always delivers what we fans love about the character. For CW shows it's a freak but I'm not complaining - great job team.

This is the Superman I know. Never gave up, puts people before himself, not hung up on the family he lost but rather the family he gained. Might give this show a chance.

After first seeing the CW superman i had a feeling it was going to be cringe but after a few episodes of this series he plays it really well prolly one of the best
If all fairness, the way he was written on Supergirl, it’s like he was a castrated version of the character and Tyler Hoechlin’s performance was ..just ok…but with GOOD writing and story, and a great supporting cast in this show, he is absolutely SHINING here and is able to show his potential w/ the character…totally knocking it out of the park.

The fact that Superman was able to fight off Zod more than the other subjects is probably because he’s spent years under yellow sunlight, which has conditioned his body to a stronger resistance to the Eradication in a physical sense (unlike Morgan). But, since physical strength isn’t everything, the positive feelings from his memories of his family, something to fight for, is what’s allowing for his mental strength. See, because the fear of losing his loved ones is what makes him want to fight more, and since Kyle said the negative feelings, giving up, is what strengthens the Eradication, then positive feelings weaken it.
Kids growing up with MCU movies probably think Steel is a rip off of Iron Man and Thor 😏

Not to mention we heard this theme for the first time in the Pilot episode of the show which had more of a calming take on it, the title card theme that appears in every episode had more of a hopeful vibe to it, and the one in this episode (1x12) had a more epic tone on it.
