Sora's exam was hijacked from the start and he still did everything he was supposed to. It really ticks me off how everyone throws shade at Sora for "Failing" his test when he wasn't at fault for it at all, Sora deserved to pass and the roasting he gets is completely uncalled for.
While I believe that he deserves to have passed, he didn't achieve the main goal and whole point of the exam, the ability to unlock (I forgot the wording buy yk what I mean)

Not quite...by KH2's start (which this game takes place after) Riku already had mastered his darkness, and helped Sora defeat Xemnas. Why they even needed said test or scrapping their old abilities on the other hand, besides having a new game in the series, I don't even know. I see where they were going with the whole "Riku pass, Sora no pass", since Sora is still a bit naive and dense, and Anti-Form is a thing, while Riku is more mature and has control over the darkness as I said earlier. Tl;dr: If one of them deserves to pass and ONLY one, it's Riku, but they never establish something like that and while Sora is less wise, cautious, and doesn't have the power of darkness under his belt...fucking LOOK at him by the end of KH2, if that doesn't deserve to be a Keyblade Master then almost nothing fucking will.

I had just read a story on Fanfiction.net last night that had nothing to do with KH. The thing that made me rage most about DDD was that Sora was tracked by organisation XIII from the start and thats why he fails. Cause an intire group of people is on his tail while he forgot all his abilitys and doesnt have Donald or Goofy by his side. Its just ... Unfair? Sora had the power of waking since they woke the worlds when both seals get opend. So ... They should have both passed? Riku i understand completly since he fucking went into soras dreams like "swoop. hi. is this the so called plot armor? yes. cool lets battle. ok. swosch swosch swosch boom. sora is awake. nice". Sora did almost get fucked but still, thats unfair, at least to me.

also: i never thought of Sora as a complete moron until i played this crap.
The thing that made me rage most about DDD was that Sora was tracked by organisation XIII from the start and thats why he fails. Cause an intire group of people is on his tail while he forgot all his abilitys and doesnt have Donald or Goofy by his side. Its just ... Unfair? Sora had the power of waking since they woke the worlds when both seals get opend. So ... They should have both passed? Riku i understand completly since he fucking went into soras dreams like "swoop. hi. is this the so called plot armor? yes. cool lets battle. ok. swosch swosch swosch boom. sora is awake. nice". Sora did almost get fucked but still, thats unfair, at least to me.
