I'm not sure if that's a BP exclusive thing or if the damage output was reduced in DMD difficulty, and also the roots move a bit slower when they go after you as well.
I believe it has to do with Mission 8, after breaking the shield, being one of those fights that you are meant to lose.. Since DT allows you to recover health and unused DT is wasted DT.
I might be late on this but I will say that the bosses in what mode is correct except for Cavalier and Malphis. Essentially both of them are on SoS mode due to both aggression and damage output in that the hiring the difficulty, the more attacks will be used. Like Artemis for example when she uses the homing bombs it differs between difficulty. On human mode, she’s not aggressive to use her homing dots and all as they deal less than 1-2 bars AND when she uses her bomb attack, only two will be sent. As opposed to Devil hunter mode, she uses the homing shots more often, damage hits between 2-3 bars and the bombs she sends are up to 5-6 instead of 2-3. Same can be said with Cavalier in that the sword swings can deal up to 3-3.5 if slashed once in human mode but it’s 4-5 bars if you get slashed once (mainly talking about the charge, teleport and slash attack) along with them being a lot more aggressive to rush you if you’re far away. Chicken lady is another as she’ll teleport more often and enter her rage state earlier in SoS unlike when she’s at low health on human or low health at DH mode. So simply it’s the following: Goliath: Human mode Artemis: Devil Hunter Cavalier and Malphus: Son of Sparda Cerberus and onwards: Dante must die.
The tentacle/standing Urizen keeps fucking me up, but i remember playing bloody palace dmc4 required so many attempts but i felt like a god when finally beating it. Can't wait till I get that feeling again, probably should stop drinking every time I get hit though.
My first score was round 10. I have never played a game like this before and had muddled my way through the game on Human difficulty. Now I can generally reach round 60 as Nero, or a little higher as Dante.
I did this on day one first try unexpectedly with Dante. It was a struggle starting the Urizen fight with quarter health (fully upgraded) My best advice to anyone whether playing as Dante or Nero is to use Devil Trigger to heal strategically as well as to maximise damage when needed. Also on later floors you have to be super evasive during combos which may be easier to do as Dante. Main thing is always use your Devil trigger strategically.
Cavelier Angelo was my initial biggest problem, but the last I played I got all the way to King Cerberus before he got me with his massive ice attack killed me.
Exceed, Charge Shot 3, and Enemy Step/Jump Cancelling are all a absolute must for Bloody Palace If you can shit on Bloody Palace without all those and use basic shit the entire time...thennnn salute to you my brother or sister.
I got to 70 with v and right now I'm stage 50 with Dante. I had trouble with Nero. The guide helped a little bit. With Nero I think I got 40 something.
I only survived till level 99 with Nero the reason I didn't get to level 100 is because I got one shot lol With Dante, I actually finished Bloody Palace... I'm really used to Dante and I got at least an S or SSS after every level with Dante V, I haven't used him, gonna use him eventually.. Thanks for the tip DevilNeverCry! Now gonna finish Bloody Palace with Nero
On my first try at nero i got to floor 96, but got killed by a fury, god damnit, but after seeing what comes in the last stages i guess i would've died anyways so... Either way, great tips and a great video as always, good job!
Tried Bloody Palace for the first time today, got a bit past Artemis and died as Vergil. Just S ranked everything on Devil Hunter as Vergil, so I'll probably come back to the Palace after I beat SOS and DMD.
on my first try with all 3 characters i died with nero on chicken lady...the rage mode deals soo much damage :S. though its my fault for wanting to fight her close , instead of keeping safe and stay far away until she is stunned. on V i died on cerberus ....and i was almost about to win, but i badly dodged one bite attack of the fire element and died and dante i died somewhere around level 80 because of a badly timed real impact
lmao i feel like an idiot for not having gotten through the level 20 goliath yet after 3 tries, but i guess it should be expected given that dmc5 is my first game of the series, and ive only had it for 5 days lol
I don't know if you're taking video requests or anything, but have you ever considered making boss guides? I am currently going through DMD and I can reliably deal with the regular enemies, but the bosses straight up kick my butt. I know that it is all in the practice, but it just seems like boss guides is an untapped video series for DMC5...a lot of speed kills of them, but no breakdown about each boss or whatever. Just a thought. Thanks for the great videos!
On my 3rd Try I beat BP With V, and honestly once you get used to V he is super OP. Tomorrow I’ll be doing Nero and Dante I’ll Def try staying in the air and utilizing Royal Guard
I hadn't played 4 until like 2 weeks before 5 came out, I only finished it on DH difficulty because I was like 12 at the time I played it, and man I am fucking stuck at BP lvl 20, then i get to play 5's BP and got to lvl 73 on my first try, I feel weird
hey friend just wanted point a few things you got wrong out just as clarification >stage 101 vergil is definitely not on DMD, it's on son of sparda, his health depletes much faster than his DMD counter part. >stage 101 vergil isn't his mission 20 version, he does get stunned like mission 20 for you to buster, but it's mission 19 vergil in 2 ways, one he doesn't stay in permenant DT like mission 20 midway through the fight, and that he doesn't use his dopple ganger until his third phase just like mission 19. that's all man, best of luck
Went up to Vergil and lost when he had just one spec of health left. I was pissed. Then I went for V and lost at the 3rd version of Urizen with the same problem. I was raging. At least I got Dante's. His taunt is pretty pleasing.
I always have my lock on right trigger because the bumpers are uncomfortable on Xbox and my gun on left trigger I swap out my Devil Trigger button with my gun button that's how I did it in 4 haven't got my hands on five yet
Jordan K yeah I tried that but my muscle memory just can't adapt to it being right trigger because when I play Devil May Cry 3 on the PlayStation 2 lock on is always R1 so my right finger is the one that I'm used to doing lock on for
Thank you again for another excellent video! I am still on my first playthrough of the game, but I can't wait to try Bloody Palace! By any chance, are you going to be making a Dante tutorial video? I am asking because I am struggling a little bit in trying to figure out how to properly use Balrog and Cavaliere. Again, thank you for this video, and for all of your work!
The farthest I get, is to the Cavalier boss fight, who caught me guards off with his teleporting slash. But my personal nightmare are Fury and the whatever thing is the monster with a monster on its back
(I've only beaten the game on son of Sparda) so I started my first run as Dante and only made it to 41 and did my first run with Nero and only made it to like 36 I think. These were only my first tries so I hope I can start getting hella high in the bloody palace
I finished DMD before the Bloody Palace update came. I only died once with Dante in stage 97, the worst of all. After doing all over again, i finally defeated Vergil. With Nero was a bit hard, because my main is Dante and i never played DMC 4 much, so i'm more familiar with Dante. I died in stage 70 with Nero, then on 97, but on the third time, i finally did it. Now i'm worried to try with V xD DMD is worse than Bloody Palace for me, all bosses are quite easy, only stage 97 that it's a nightmare. Oh and i only play with keyboard and mouse, then when i finished Bloody Palace with Nero, my hand was hurting a bit xD too many charged shots.
You know I've been playing 4 since it came out in 2008 since I was 8 years old and I have not once mastered the exceed system would you happen to have a video on explaining the timing because I can never figure out if it's before strike lands after a strike lands during a strike Landing do I just tap it or do I hold it for a couple seconds after hitting what am I supposed to do I always took more naturally to Dante because dmc3 was my first game
ThePHiLsTeR yeah i know it can be done without hitting an enemy I've done it i just can't do it consistently but im using hitting the enemy as a point of reference for the timing in each animation
Just finished my first run and got killed on the cavilerre fight, both of us were low on health and i attempted to use royal release but screwed the timing so much due to panic...pretty glad i did now because triple furies are going to destroy me 😂

So simply it’s the following:
Goliath: Human mode
Artemis: Devil Hunter
Cavalier and Malphus: Son of Sparda
Cerberus and onwards: Dante must die.
Thanks. Your tips have really helped
Imagine being on level 100 with Urizen’s health about 3/4 gone and you fucked it all up with a misplaced dodge...
Dude, don’t forget that you can jump cancel the blue rose (color up). It’s freaking insane
Nero is the only character I wasn't able to beat Bloody Palace with lol. Those red Instant Transmission enemies are a massive pain.
Exceed, Charge Shot 3, and Enemy Step/Jump Cancelling are all a absolute must for Bloody Palace
If you can shit on Bloody Palace without all those and use basic shit the entire time...thennnn salute to you my brother or sister.
I got to 70 with v and right now I'm stage 50 with Dante. I had trouble with Nero. The guide helped a little bit. With Nero I think I got 40 something.
I’ll use my super costumes, thanks. I refuse wasting my time playing this over and over again
I only survived till level 99 with Nero the reason I didn't get to level 100 is because I got one shot lol
With Dante, I actually finished Bloody Palace... I'm really used to Dante and I got at least an S or SSS after every level with Dante
V, I haven't used him, gonna use him eventually..
I beat Dante and V already. Saved Nero for last cause I knew he would be the hardest and looks like he is to most people.
Tried Bloody Palace for the first time today, got a bit past Artemis and died as Vergil. Just S ranked everything on Devil Hunter as Vergil, so I'll probably come back to the Palace after I beat SOS and DMD.
Thanks for the tip 🤘. Are you going to do a V bloody Palace tip as well?
Could be just the familiarity of the default but I'm always so hesitant when the tip calls for a button remapping
Got to misson 85 then died my first time
I got to 60 my first time with v
First time I played with nero and goliath killed me lol, I pressed LB to devil trigger instead of D-pad too many times
@@handemorebattlelands4009 I just remapped it to L1/Lb tbh, idk it just feels more natural
I just died on floor 97 as Nero.
on my first try with all 3 characters
i died with nero on chicken lady...the rage mode deals soo much damage :S. though its my fault for wanting to fight her close , instead of keeping safe and stay far away until she is stunned.
on V i died on cerberus ....and i was almost about to win, but i badly dodged one bite attack of the fire element and died
and dante i died somewhere around level 80 because of a badly timed real impact
Red Queen, Blue Rose, Devil Bringer/Breakers, be a badass with all four. Got it.
lmao i feel like an idiot for not having gotten through the level 20 goliath yet after 3 tries, but i guess it should be expected given that dmc5 is my first game of the series, and ive only had it for 5 days lol
Since Neros dt is more angelic which is probably a nod to one of the main plot points of dmc4 I would like to see him get an adt rather than an sdt
On my 3rd Try I beat BP With V, and honestly once you get used to V he is super OP. Tomorrow I’ll be doing Nero and Dante I’ll Def try staying in the air and utilizing Royal Guard
Died on Cerberus as Nero on my first try, died on Vergil as Dante on my first try
I fished bloody palace with V and Nero
I hadn't played 4 until like 2 weeks before 5 came out, I only finished it on DH difficulty because I was like 12 at the time I played it, and man I am fucking stuck at BP lvl 20, then i get to play 5's BP and got to lvl 73 on my first try, I feel weird
hey friend just wanted point a few things you got wrong out just as clarification
>stage 101 vergil is definitely not on DMD, it's on son of sparda, his health depletes much faster than his DMD counter part.
>stage 101 vergil isn't his mission 20 version, he does get stunned like mission 20 for you to buster, but it's mission 19 vergil in 2 ways, one he doesn't stay in permenant DT like mission 20 midway through the fight, and that he doesn't use his dopple ganger until his third phase just like mission 19.
that's all man, best of luck
Went up to Vergil and lost when he had just one spec of health left. I was pissed. Then I went for V and lost at the 3rd version of Urizen with the same problem. I was raging. At least I got Dante's. His taunt is pretty pleasing.
I always have my lock on right trigger because the bumpers are uncomfortable on Xbox and my gun on left trigger I swap out my Devil Trigger button with my gun button that's how I did it in 4 haven't got my hands on five yet
themanicman gaming wouldn’t it make it more adaptable if you put lock on left trigger and gun on right trigger?
Cavaliere video will be up very very soon. Dante is a complex character so i think i'll cover weapons/styles individually
I got to 42 as V. I haven't managed to make it any farther with Nero or Dante yet. I'm a noob but I'm practicing!
Very helpful like usual
*Bloody Palace is never an issue for me, but HoH mode is, but I'll get it done before vergil drops.*
The farthest I get, is to the Cavalier boss fight, who caught me guards off with his teleporting slash. But my personal nightmare are Fury and the whatever thing is the monster with a monster on its back
King Cerberus always gets me!!!
When fight with urizen that will be a hell stage
Very nice video! I'm still dying on floor 20 though 😅
Right now im at lvl 45 on my first run with Nero
Waddup DNC!! Much love bro
Level 70 was easy for me and I didn't use ragtime. Hands down the most fun fight for me in DMC5 with virgil. That shit was awesome.
Well it’s vergil
My first run urizen murdered me.
I just died as V on level 60 TT
(I've only beaten the game on son of Sparda) so I started my first run as Dante and only made it to 41 and did my first run with Nero and only made it to like 36 I think. These were only my first tries so I hope I can start getting hella high in the bloody palace
After many hours I cannot beat the first 30 floors without dying or running out of time.
Vergil and Dante(in that order) have beaten Bloody Palance, time for Nero to do so the same
Since Neros dt is angelic which is probably a nod to the main plot of dmc4 I would like to see him get an adt rather than an sdt
Virtue Devil Trigger?
> Golaith in on human mode
> always dies to Golaith
..........................................
You might wanna do tips on Dante and v
Nice vocabularies dude
I'm stuck on m11 in dmd
I am so dead when i reach floor 80
Push through it!
This is my first dmc game.
Also, thanks for the motivation!
@@shioniiluxion6457 No problem! DMD is super tough , but not unbeatable
Playing with dante is a bit of a challenge, and that's why i watch your videos!
Just finished my first run and got killed on the cavilerre fight, both of us were low on health and i attempted to use royal release but screwed the timing so much due to panic...pretty glad i did now because triple furies are going to destroy me 😂
Honestly I gave it shot without all upgrades and got to wave 40 on first try with Dante so I think I did ok
Well, the only problem here is V with the furies, but the floor 97... that hell it self :,)
Whats in floor 97
Gameboy407 there’s a Queen empusa&Proto Angelo->Behemoth->Electric goat&fury. Most of time you’ll be in a 2 vs 1
@@mrkene6087 lmao yeah i just beat the palace with v
