that looks great! i remember discovering you when i was first researching hammys for my own haha. but i would be careful of that wheel! i had that same one and was told because how large the bumps are inside it can hurt/be uncomfortable over time so i switched it to the niteangel plastic wheel. i love that one more personally. its easy for the hammy and is safe, plus is much more easy to clean then my old wooden one haha
ommggg tough choice between hamsters and guinea pigs, but i always say hamsters💅💞 and yeh when im away i just teach someone i trust how to take care of her and they come over each day to do so. I dont relocate her cage or anything.
If you haven't already thrown them out you can bake the wood items to kill off mold spores and i would recommend doing that for the wood item you kept as well just because you can't see it doesn't mean its not there also it may be worth looking into making a raised lid for your detolf which will allow significantly deeper bedding

But all the other things you have are safe, thanks for giving a hamster a happy home! ( and not a critter trail) :)
hey so it's nothing at all against you or anything bad but I have the same wheel for my hamster and his paw ended up getting cut on it so i would reccommend getting some cork to stick on it!
This hamster is living luxurious no doubt! Also I've never seen another animal with the name sweet pea, but my childhood's friend's dog has that name. I also have 2 ferrets but unfortunately, one of them inherited their other dogs name and not sweet pea 😭
Hi, as you can see by my username, I have done much studies on hamsters. I have two hamsters living in the same cage. I probably shouldn’t have them in the same page. That’s why we’re dividing it today, but I would not recommend the mouse and rat like seeds and be careful with some would choose some of them have like honey and stuff that’s not good for hamsters and also I’d recommend night angel treats. They have like tofu mealworms, and all that stuff and they’re completely safe for hamsters they come in bigger sizes and smaller ones. I’ve done a lot of research but yeah that’s just what I recommend, but if you want, I like the bedding you have, but if you wanna change up, I’d recommend the plain white Uber paper bedding
Oh, and with those nice bridges, you have I’d recommend putting moss into there. You can just buy like a plain block of moss from brand night angel because I know that is safe I’ve seen so many UA-camrs having that you can just shove it in there and they’ll just walk over it like it’s nothing

You might wanna check her for mites, cause i noticed her in the store and in that short clip we saw of her, already scratching a lot. I got mine 6months ago and she had mites already when i brought her home from the pet store 😢
She's adorable, so full of energy and outgoing, not scared at all. Finding every little spot in her enclosure and redecorating everything hahaha. Maybe you dont have to clean all the time, let her make her sorroundings as messy as she's comfortable, as long as she's healthy and clean it doesn't have to be pretty. Welcome little Whitney
One thing I recommend is there’s these hamster balls. You can put them in there and they’ll run around your house but don’t worry they won’t get out of the balls.
