Thanks to your video I will be doing mine instead of paying someone to do it, thanks brother 🤘
This is great video for help on the belt. One thing that is tough is that the power steering lines are in your way from the bottom. I think the easiest way to get the belt back on is to leave the water pump loose and slide that on last because it’s the back side of the belt and it’s smooth.
Thanks man , got it done
Great video and details
Really nice video
Good video, where do you check for torque specs? I cant find torque specs for tensioner and idler pulley for my Mazda 6 2007 2.3 166hp non turbo L3 engine.
For anyone else who has problems with this, here's what I did:
First, make sure to remove the nut holding the power steering pipes on in front of the tensioner. That'll give you enough clearance to get a 6 point socket on. With that and a breaker bar, you can relieve tension. If you use a 12 point socket or box end wrench, it'll round that nut over. You probably will still have a hard time getting the new belt over. I ended up taking off the top two nuts on the top front idler, and with tension relieved, pivoting it to the side to get the belt on. Then I pivoted it back up, and put the bolts back in. Make sure to put the power steering pipes back in place, or they can rub against the belt and get sliced. After that, just start it up and check that it all works well!
Thanks for that
Thank You
Where can i get that ratchet wrench you were useing ..
Kamal on your Mazda when you increase your engine speed do your pulleys spin the same speed or faster
Well the pulleys and idlers are always spinning faster since they’re a smaller diameter. The A/C compressor which is on the same belt will spin slower since it’s a larger diameter.
Quick question, Could you just replace the pulley without the whole assembly?
You can, the pulley is about $20 or less
What mm socket did you use to remove the tensioner?
4:15 It’s a 14mm socket to relieve the tension to remove the belt and it’s a 12mm socket to remove the two bolts that hold the tensioner to the engine.
@@kamalakeel thank you
what belt did you use?
I got an OEM belt from my local Mazda dealer. Might be a little more expensive but I just prefer having OEM. If you want to save a little bit of money though, I believe that Continental makes good OE style belts.
appreciate the video man! You in a Sauna or something? lol
Thanks man, Yeea, sort of haha, no AC and it gets pretty hot in our garage.
This is car engine 2.5mzr right 1 belt ?
2.3 for the speeds. 2.5 non speed so his is a 2.3
