@@TDLDIY I replaced it! I took me two hours from the very beginning to the very end. (Taking the tire out and putting it back on) I am not mechanical and I am a little slow and impatient. But it is done, water pump belt, serpentine belt and tensioner. The problem was the serpentine belt wrench tool I bought from harbor freight didn’t work. So the tools I have weren’t the best. That was a delay I had. Maybe 1 hour with the rights tools? It was a little uncomfortable under the car using the car jack.

Hey guys I was able to do this job with a 17mm box wrench. I only changed the belt and did it from the top. You will need to jack the engine up a little from underneath. Then take out the coolant reservoir (which is super easy, just two clips that you pry and remove the coolant reservoir but don’t take off the hoses just move it over). Then use a 17 deep socket to remove the motor mount bolts and nuts and take the motor mount out, if the engine moves too much then tighten back the bolts and nuts and the reposition your jack. If you take off the mount and your engine doesn’t move then you are good. That will give you enough room to get a wrench down there and release the tensioner. For me I got the belt to finally go over the smooth surface of the tensioner for the finishing point of installing the belt. I tried putting it over the alternator last but there wasn’t enough room for me. The smooth part of the tensioner let’s you just barely slide the belt on to complete the job! Hope this helps, I didn’t wanna go underneath the car and I didn’t wanna buy an extra tool that I will almost never use again..

You would have to check with you model. and or vin # you can call the dealer parts area and get part number and then shop around to get the best deal. Belts are fairly cheap for mazda 3 roughly 45.00 and less. the tentioner for mine car ranged from 85 - 255.00.
I just checked on rockauto.com they have a tentioner for 2016 cx-5 for about 100.00 looks to be the same as the mazda 3 which is what i installed on my car i dont know how long they will last. But at the time i choose this one.

For what it’s worth, I really appreciate your video!! Awesome camera angle and lighting on the tensioner so I can tell which bolts are which and what I need to look for
