Out of all of the Monkees, I think I love Micky's voice the most, it is like embarking on a trip listening to him sing, he sounds better with age like a fine wine...

not anymore - read the most recent reviews, the Huffington Post for instance says he has "one of the most distinctive voices in R&R" :)

It's funny when I was a kid watching the Monkees TV show and at the same time we had The Beatles cartoon show I thought as a kid would, that the real live versions of The Beatles were just sort of mimicking the cartoon. Not the other way around. I feel so badly for the guys here. I think most musical people out there gave them such bad raps. But you have to understand the nature of the game and how people can be very spiteful. It would be easy for others to not understand the whole issues about studio bands and how much or little they had to deal with things. For example Jimmi Page was also a studio musician before he branched out into his own band.
One of my ultimate favorite songs are Daily Nightly I knew they had a promo video on the show but I had no idea the name of the song. I just knew it was such an amazing work of studio musicianship and so different for that time. I'm really surprised nobody has ever covered it. Anyhow, cheers love the band and everything that they were able to have created.
