You’re not just an outstanding artist but I look so forward to your outtakes at the end…..it’s like the cake at the end of the party!! This was lovely and so so helpful!!
Oh thank you very much. 💕
I like them both but you second one is far more realistic. Great video as always!
Thanks so much Monique.
Love everything that Louise does. 😊
Sending greetings from Las Vegas
You're the best. Thank you Shelly. 🥰
We sure do keep you busy! 😂❤
Lol - I think a lot of it is me and my self imposed deadlines. 😆🥰
Hi, Louise from North Carolina, US - I was at my local watercolor artist’s gathering (about 35 of us on any given date) where we meet once a month to paint together, and I overheard a couple of folks chatting away about you and your UA-cam posts, how much they learn from you and how they enjoy your easy way of teaching…thought you might like to know you’re inspiring a whole group of us on the other side of the world! 😄 And, we, too, all love your outtakes.😉
Keep going…great job 😁🙏
PS: loved your Carolina Wren from a little while ago
Wow, this made my day Scarlet! I'm thrilled to hear that you and your group find my videos helpful and enjoyable. Knowing that I'm reaching and inspiring artists like you, all the way in North Carolina, is just incredible. Thanks so much for your kind words and encouragement. 🥰
Happy to return the encouragement - your work is beautiful! And just remember - for each little note like this one, there are sooo many more people that might not have had the chance to comment, but who are dipping their brushes into the water and watching the pigment move across their paper with wonder and delight because of you.
Hope you have an inspiring art day!!!
😁☀️🙏
watching from Michigan here!
Thank you for sharing this wonderful insightful video about how to improve our old paintings or make great changes to our paintings. I really appreciate both of these paintings. Have a wonderful weekend Louise!
Glad it was helpful. Thanks so much Colleen.
Thanks for your wonderful tutorials, I adore both paintings even the brighter color one has a more illustrative feel it's beautiful too! I love your videos, I started to paint in watercolor, about a year and a half ago because of you, the way you explain, and the great quality of your videos. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!❤
I'm really happy to know that. Thanks so much. 😊❤️

Great video regarding a previous work and the re-do why and how.
So much to learn.
Thank you so much.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks.
Looking forward to this tutorial!
It's on Patreon now. 💕
I really love your videos bc I learned so much from every single one❤❤
I'm really happy to know that. Thank you Astrid. 💝
Both of them are so good ❤
Thank you! 💖
Great tutorial Louise - and yes! I have noted the little man has moved so he is now with your flowers 😂
Fabulous tutorial. Thanks
The old one is definitely overly saturated, but it has better composition and more movement (in the leaves) to it so it looks more lively, while the new one looks more realistic but not as interesting compositionally. Definitely more harmonious though.
This is one of the best color mixing videos I've watched. Thank you. Makes me want to try it.
Beautiful blouse
Thank you for sharing your insight... learned alot and a better technique...
Very welcome. Thanks Ralph.
thank you for the lesson.
This demonstration was particularly helpful to me. I appreciated your detailed explanations of how you chose and mixed your colors. It is a process, and takes some time, but the result of your repainted corn was well worth it. I bought the book you recommended on the limited palette, which I am enjoying very much. I have had some experience mixing colors with acrylic paint, but I feel that color mixing looks so much more interesting in watercolor paintings due to separation and the transparency of the paint. Thank you for sharing your skills and talents with all of us.
Thank you for the very informative video Louise, I have been trying out blending of just a few colours and so far it's working! your painting are super especially the re working on the second. Thank you for sharing with us x
Wonderful! Using a limited palette is really helping me as well. Thank you very much Amanda. 🥰
❤❤❤
Vielen Dank!! schöne Grüße from Stuttgart/Germany👏👏❤❤🍀🍀❤❤☘☘🌹🌹
Great demonstration! I feel like a lot of times artists don't comment that much on their color choices, so it's really nice to learn more about that! 😊 I just have a question, is there a way you could include the pigments when presenting the colors, so it's easier to compare with other brands?
Could you not glaze with a browny shade the original cob.
May I ask how long ago you painted the first one?
