In this AC and Brotherhood, the combat was changed so that once you [defeat] one enemy, you can [defeat] the next in 1 hit and rampage through them all until you get hit or lose your combo - a bit like Arkham. Also counter steal is when you're unarmed I think (underrated "weapon")
You can't 1 shot enemies in the Arkham games just by having a high combo to my knowledge. However if you were just comparing how the counter goes away when hit then yes you're right.
@@SirStrugglesAlot Mr technicality here, some of the moves were a oneshot (like the takedown which instantly knocked out one enemy) and you could knock out an enemy in one hit by knocking them off a ledge. Otherwise the only way to defeat a regular enemy with a single hit in combat was if they were the last enemy, who would then be knocked out cinematically upon receiving any damage. It's not what the original commenter was saying but you are definitely intended to be flowing from one enemy to the next, similarly to the next generation of AC games. (Technically you can chip away at enemies in the this, AC3, Rogue or Black Flag but the combat is much smoother when you can get kill chains going.)
That's just brotherhood, it was heavily criticised for making the combat too easy so they changed it in revelations so enemies can interrupt your combo. Personally I thought it was better in brotherhood, combat in AC was never that challenging and it was appropriate for Ezio to absolutely mop the floor with enemies considering he was already a master assassin. Also the animations were fluid AF, much better than in revelations (which is my favourite AC game when it comes to narrative and dialogue).
