The whole gang of true entertaining stars that deserved their notoriety. I used to joke at senior citizens how they longed for the good old days. Now I know what they meant..
Ricardo Montalban and Dean Martin were so handsome!! No one was funnier than Don Rickles. It's a shame how far the talent in Hollywood has declined. Thank goodness we have UA-cam to preserve videos like this.
And people say Dean was a drunk. It was a part of his act; much like Foster Brooks. If he was a drunk, then how would he introduce everyone so well without missing a beat in the beginning.
It’s funny that all these stars wanted to be roasted by Rickles, but the irony is that a lot of what Rickles said about these people in jest was true. Most of these stars were very self-involved people with giant egos. I think that’s why everyone liked to watch Rickles take them down a few notches.....
19 minutes of uninterrupted comedy. You'll never see that today unless it is PPV or premium cable. Did everyone see Bob Hope when he sat down? He knew he was going to get it with the same old joke about there not being a war on, and it still got laughs.
Don Rickles was a wonderful man......he truly loved everyone! His manner of humor was amazing......will NEVER be matched. Love you Don.....

The who's who of the silver age of Hollywood. More class in that room than we have on the entire planet right now.
Do you know when this show was aired?
Vaccines have destroyed everyone. Made everyone mediocre.

Songs in that era were in reality a philosophy in which the singer believed, now its just random words.
