this feels like a time capsule. Such a weird feeling. Seeing these on a tv or laptop, when before it was on one of those blocky tvs. It is like these are eternal, yet gone. it makes it hard to determine whether time is something that passes, or it is one moment, and these are a part of it.
Whenever one of these commercials says "To order call..." it makes me wonder if we can still call those numbers and get those products, or if they are defunct after all these years.
I remember the Rice Krispies commercial where the kids put a doll inside one of three holes (the other holes already having dolls in them) and then a mystical voice said "snap, crackle, pop" before the wall opened up to reveal a chamber full of cereal. There was another version of that commercial with cards instead of dolls.
Who else remembers the McDonald's commercial where the judge of the art contest calls the sunshine and rainbows picture nice, the starry night ripoff interesting, and the fountain impressive? The little girl with the fountain responded "I know."
it's funny how i remember the commercial but not the melody of the little jingles that accompanied them (except stanley steamer, the fanta girls, and littlest pet shop. those are classic). also weird how aged all the cgi looks now
Man, you’re definitely right. You’re the first person to ever grow up and assume that the world was better when you weren’t aware of anything going on in it and had no personal problems or responsibilities. Next you’re gonna start in about how lazy the younger generation is and how bad their music is.
Society can be broken or boring but not both. If it is broken then shit is fucked up and chaotic. If it is boring it is because everything is working as it should.
me too were in the dark ages of advertising right now.... the minimalistic design, black text on white backgrounds, the whole "kind" and "whole" gimmick and virtue signaling.... bring back the cgi skateboarding pizza PLEASE
Do anyone remember a nostalgic children's commercial that ends with a animated red train on a town street and children's voices singing at the end of the commercial
I know what you mean. I like watching these old ads not just because I remember them, but I remember how it felt to be 7 years old with them in the background of life, when I thought I could grow up and do anything and wondered what the future would hold. The future was portrayed so optimistically.
Anyone remember the fish eggs you order from the tv commercial all you have to do is pour the fish eggs into a tank and they’ll hatch into neon uv fishes
ok I looked it up and apparently it's a sign-off for adult swim? like that's how they ended their day before normal cartoon network started up again ig. weird as hell but what else would you expect from adult swim
@@lemonbreadd4427 the bump is called the dawn is your enemy and they used to use it to scare kids off from watching adult swim. i was never scared of it really, but there was this other one that scared the crap out of me LOL (I didn't put it in bc it was TOO SCARY!!) ua-cam.com/video/6Ql6b5uI-P8/v-deo.html
I always associate Snapple with Family Matters. When Urkel first durned into Stefon and drank the potion he said something like “Cool genes taste like Snapple!”
I love the whimsical and awesome feel of 2000’s commercials
